If they accessed your computer they no doubt have any and all private information you might have stored there, plus I'm sure they've installed malware which will basically give them access to your computer anytime they want.   Key logger and so forth.

Don't know that much about computers, although I've been messing around with them since the 1980s,  but I'd definitely take it to an IT person you know and trust and have a complete diagnostic done on it to make sure it's clean.

Don't ever allow anyone to access your computer unless you personally know and trust the individual.  Also I'd make sure to  change any CC or Debit Card #s or any account numbers you might have had on your computer.

You've been seriously hacked!    Anything of value, information wise is in the scammers hand now.

Got a call from this number saying I had Trojans on my computer and that people in other countries were accessing my computer.  They accessed my computer and gave me prices for removing all the errors and invalid accesses.  I hung up and they called me back and I told them the number and information would be reported right away.

I got 2 calls in one day one is from 18006427676 the other is from3437759852.  they are claiming I have an issue with my microsoft.   I'm a smart enough cookie to know crap when I hear it but I wanted to call back anyway (did it on my work phone) they stuttered telling me they didn't call and all I kept saying was "then how did I get your number as a missed call on my cell"?

This phone number is shown as the contact number for an Xbox purchase on a credit card.  There are 11 individual charges to my credit card account, from 4-23-2014 to 5-05-2014.  The total of these 11 charges is $93.17.  I do not own an X-Box nor have I allowed anyone to use my credit card account.  The  "Transaction Description" is as follows on ALL the charges:
MSTF     *XBOX LIVE  08006427676 WA   I've made a Fraud complaint to my credit card issuer and Cancelled the card.  Just wondering if anyone else has run into this credit card scam, using the 800-642-7676 number as the Retailer.

Received call today. Actually within a minute after I made the online query @ Microsoft Support. On-line chat was not available, choices were try again later or enter my # for tech support call back. Chose the later and within 1 minute, phone rang, I answered and it WAS Microsoft Support responding to my request (yes, was a foreigner, and they knew their stuff). Spent over 1 hr on phone with them and they got my problem resolved completely. Submitting this as confirmation that it was Microsoft Support. Wish organizations could find a way to display their ID when calling. But I guess that these jokers who falsly use others ID killed the public confidence in believing in the validity of the caller ID . Sad, huh! Now we are ALL guilty of ignoring incoming calls. Seems that EVERYBODY looses. -- 800-642-7676

1-800-642-7676 or 1-800-936-5700 are MICROSOFT's Phone Numbers. And try to read this. http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Hackers might've gotten a way of making these phone number/s show whenever they call their victims. So be aware.
And, Yes. Microsoft doesnt cold calls customers. If you receive a call from this number, just hang up! :)

I signed up for a service, but then I immediately cancelled it.  They still charged me for one month.

Went to my bank, cancelled my old debit card and got another one.

Now they can't get me again.

Lisa Madigan Ill. Attorney General states that it is not a legitimate Microsoft number.  Both  my hotmail accounts have been hacked since around December and they tried to tell me that I needed a code.  No matter what they will not free one of my accounts.   That phone number was given to me by a congressman's office.   They messed up my computer in the past and I ended up with a Trojan, etc.  They claimed they were going to help me and do it for me.  Then later they used the same phrases involving the code they stated that I needed.  That theywere going to do for me. they just needed to get into my two email accounts and computer.   Two men got obnoxious and were yelling at me because I would not let them into my computer and even stated that if they found som
something on my computer that they would charge me for it.  "High Extortion" when  someone causes a problem and then illegally demands to charge a fee.You  can dispute the bills on your account.   Again today two men were yelling at me.  You are right they all sound like foreigners.  Again today they were illegally demanding moneyand they are very insistent in their "High Extortion".  It is spin, spin, spin, and nothing is solved.   Report them to the State Attorney General.  I believe what they are looking for is financial information, credit cards, etc.  The same goes for  on the website under Microsoft and chat.

I called Xbox customer service and was offered a call back "within 32-49 minutes" they call later with the called ID "Microsoft" and it rung once, then stopped. I pick up a second later and it's a fax/dial up noise. They call once more and I hear it ring once, then stops. I pick up and fax/dial up again. I blocked it and am confused.

We've been getting calls from a foreigner from an unavailable number for a week now and my teenager has been getting the calls and she said he asked if she was sitting in front of her computer.  Well the next time he called he was flirting with her and saying he's in love with her and her girlfriend was insisting he stop calling.  Tonight this number showed up when he called and we threatened him with reporting him to the police but didn't faze him he just kept saying how in love he was with my daughter and he'd call back tomorrow, being Sunday!!!! What a creepy pervert we called the number and was told by Microsoft it's impossible we received a call from this number because they never make calls to you they are there to receive calls from the customer.  Now what??? I'm guessing I'd better check my accounts just in case, how do these creeps get a do not call listed number anyway?????

Got 2 calls from this place in a week; 1st one was 'unknown' number, Mid-Easterner "ROGER" told m he's calling from Windows, and my computer is infected. I asked again who he was and was told Roger, from 'Windows'. Told him I ws on another line, he said he's call me back at 1:00 (it was already 1:15 here). He did call back but I didn't answer (still unknown#).
Today, woman phoned- same thing; said MS Windows-I have a virus-... phone sounded garbled then got clear. Guessing she had trouble hearing me she said Hello?? Agnes? Are you there? I said "You have the wrong #, Please don't call me again." She promptly said F^@#   Y@u..... and hung up. This time the number displayed as the actual Microsoft help line. 800-642-7676

Just had a call from someone calling himself "John".  Usual spiel about them noticing infections on my computer over the last couple of days.  I asked for a phone number and he gave me this one, which I see from Googling is mentioned as a USA phone number for Microsoft support.  However, it's obviously a scam as these things always are (there's no way someone sitting somewhere else sees an infection being sent from your computer!).  When I did a 1471, it was the usual "You were called..." message.

I see the charge on my bank account.  Does everyone has McAfee software?  They have support in India.  The last time when I called McAffe Customer support, this guy wanted to help me.  I suspected that my computer has a virus.  If you asked for help from support in India they install software on your computer that sends them you information.

I have received the same call twice within a week from this 800-642-7676 phone number.  I know that Microsoft would never call me so I always tell them that I know it is a scam and hang up immediately.  The man is a foreigner.  Sounds like an Indian accent and he always tells me that they have detected that I have a virus and he wants to help me get rid of it.  I build my own computers, I have virus protection on my computer that I run every day and I know how to get rid of a virus, and I know that all Bill Gates cares about is if I keep buying his products and he would never care about a virus on my computer.  Don't ever fall for this scam.

This number also appeared on my bank statement (they did not call me) and I found out I had purchased a subscription to Microsoft office online and it would renew itself and that was what the 10.69 charge was for. So I suggest if you have purchased any online versions of anything from Microsoft to log into your account and double check!

No message left.  It's sad to say, but even legitimate businesses don't leave messages anymore.  I've gotten to the point that I don't answer my phone for unknown calls and I figure if the call is indeed important then they will leave a message.
