Female operator. They were calling for a family member and avoided using their company name or what they were calling for. Had to look up the number here to get any info. Wonder how they got my phone to try to contact my relative with.

Unfortunately these company's that call do not hear you when you say you are not who they are looking for. The only thing they hear and believe is that it is a lie..  

So here is what you do, you send them a cease and desist letter via certified US mail (keep a copy for yourself and notation on bottom CC: with your initials/name)  That way they can't say they didn't get it. Then, if they continue to call (keep a notebook, any messages/texts etc) and always record if possible any conversation - note some states require you inform them upfront they are being recorded.  A notebook logging time/date of call is good also to keep.  Once you see the cease & desist letter has been delivered, if the phone calls persist you have legal recourse via TCPA laws.

You can find all kinds of the forms you need for free online with a search. Fill em out and print them out.  It should include a area where you can name the person they are actually looking for etc. And should also  note that you will not hesitate to bring charges against them according to the laws.

About a week ago these calls started the # is (909)579-5096.. there is a Mary telling me some 800 and ex. she does not say who she is looking for.. they even called Saturday and Sunday.. im on the the do not call list..well heres the thing i rent have rented since i moved out of my mom and dads house oh 15 years ago. so i have also have my cell phone # for the last 3 years. so this is not making any since why a place would call me that i never heard of them. so can they be doing something else other then mortgage?? i do not own a house or anything i rent..

The rudest nastiest chunks of garbage on the face of the planet. Called said we hadn't made a payment when indeed we had canceled the check sent another and before the other had been cashed they attempted to cash the other that had been canceled, and the nerve to call many more times complaining that the check had been canceled. The next they continued to call after I explained my mother in-law had just past away and we would take care of it when we got home, it got so bad I had to shut my phone off .

Green Tree has the worst costumer service, absolutely no manners are rude and ignorant people. Karen is completely relentless and inappropriate. Was in an accident and fell a Month behind was told that personnel matters shouldn't interfere with your responsibilities. When setting up arrangement via electronic transfer she claimed I was a liar, also I was deviating from former payment method which is an extra 144 a year out of my pocket. Karen also will talk above you and claim to be receiving this treatment from you, will become outraged by replies to her comments when she is wrong or has misspoken. Will threaten to start pre foreclosure, calls references from years prior, claims to leave messages which aren't left and demands you to answer calls, like people can sit at home and do nothing and pay there bills.

Mike from Green Tree asking for owner, say it's personal. Owner never heard of him so he left a message and informed "this call is recorded", and wanted my name. Don't know who they are so didn't provide.

Green Tree services called today and left 800-643-0202 as a call back number. The person on the phone said his name and the person he was trying to reach but on his end it was so garbled that I could not understand what he was saying on the message he left. I haven't called back yet, but I'm dreading the calls in the future that folks seem to be experiencing. I hope that Dave did not experience any more calls after he did not call them back.

I don't have a Greentree mortgage.

But, they call my number indicating I might be a neighbor of Mr. XXXX.  If he is my neighbor...give him this phone number for him to call.

I received a call from 800-643-0202.The man said his first name only and said it was important that i call him.
No other information was left on the answering machine.
i googled the number and this sight came up.

They just bought my lone from BOA, they are worse then the devil. BOA has "pay online" for free, but when I tired it with Greentree they tried to charge me $15 for the service.They also told me that I owed $105 in late fees from 2 years ago from BOA when that was settled 2 years ago. They're rude, ignorant and don't have any customer service at all..

This is Greentree, they are worse than owing the mob. They threaten and yell at you if you are one day late. They call several times a day including your "references" Now they are texting me. If they would process their payments on time they wouldn't have to call. My last payment was mailed 4-5 days before it was due but didn't get posted to my account for 7 days after the due date. Maybe they should check the payment center's desk before calling.

p.s.  I recorded the conversation while it was going on..he was nice enough to give me his first and last name.
Hell hath no fury like a mom whose 16 yr old heard the whole thing and asked if we were losing our home.  No babygirl, mama is relentless.

If they are nice..well ok, but the Green Tree supervisor  I spoke with was anything but.. they just got my mortgage from GMAC, I had set up my first ACH with them, then found they were asking me to pay a full years escrow on my first payment.. called the number.. I was yelled at for wanting to cancel the ACH. He told me to get an apartment guide and start looking..said I was one who could not afford the american dream.
Ugly, ugly man.  They processed my ACH despite me canceling it with them.

SOS I keep telling them the 2 people they are trying  to contact doesn't own this phone number.  They keep saying who am I and I keep replying not the person(s) they want.  SOS, so sorry to bothered  you.  We will remove this number.  YEA YEA YEA! So why do they keep calling?  DUHHHHHH!!!!!

Green Tree Servicing- Mortgage Company. Payment due date is the 1st, they start calling the 2nd, everyday, a few times a day, even though I have until the 16th before officially on paper it is considered late & get the late fee. Green Tree is the worst mortgage company ever! You should have a choice before a mortgage company (National City) sells or disperses your account elsewhere. We cant wait to refinance!!

This is Green Tree Servicing / mortgage loan company. They are very persistent, will call 5 or 6 times a day sometimes, but I guess if my mortgage payment was on time, they wouldn't be bugging me. Guess they are just doing their job even though they could be a little more courteous at times. Every time they call they will ask "well what's going on with you, why is your pament late?", HELLO, I've been late every month for about a year now, you figure it out big boy. But all in all, I guess they are a good company, I still have my home. Everyone pray for a nation that we will get back on track, jobs will be created, homes will be saved, and most importantly souls will be saved. God Bless everyone.
