Yes they called me about an hour ago, Sean (don't really think this was real name) said I had won a gift voucher to a grocery store of my choosing, I needed to verify my visa bank card was still active, he wanted my numbers off of it, my expiration date, etc. I said, why don't you give me your name, supervisor's name, and a phone number. It was bogus the phone number and both names. I called my bank cancelled my card and want everyone to WATCH OUT!!! IT is a SCAM DISCOVER Enterprises, Don't ever give your personal information to anyone!!! I only hope that these people go to jail over this crap!!!

Someone had an email sent to them about it. I was like sure sign me up... well I never got anything. Now they are calling me saying that I owe them money and that the wont stop it until I pay or they turn it in to collections. I guess they've been sending me mags and I havent got one of them. I got a new bank card so they couldnt charge me anymore. And I even tried to call them to stop it before they called me, the number wasnt working. Anyways, the lady told me that they would sent me these "subscriptions" for 5 years! And turn it in to collections! I asked if there was someone else I could speak with and she told me no. "No one else would be able to help me, they would tell me the same thing she already has." I told her that I wanted them to stop sending them and she said they wouldnt until I was paid up. And she tried once again to get me to pay. I told her I was not paying for it, because I never got anything. She said she would note it to my file. And we got off the phone.

I have to say I am so mad about this!

Go to your bank and ask them for advice on what you can do. I had a familar incident with Discover Enterprise and I simply went to my bank and changed my card information.

Returned all as "refused" When I called Discover Enterprises   first they were rude.  Then they threatened legal action     would not stop billing   I had to close my Chase credit card because they didn't seem to want to stop the fraud charges

After having the same kind of problem, I talked to Officer Erickson of the Oakley P.D. where this "company" is located. Hundreds if not more have been scammed. Call their attorney, Raphael Goldman, at 510-845-3000 and demand your money back. Spread the word. Post this on other sites if you have time please.

Not sure if Financial Education of America is a scam claiming a $200 Walmart gift card, etc. But I refused the first time they called me. Then a three days later they called me a second time. I refused again; however, in the same conversation they convinced me they were a valid business entity Financial Education of America (FEA) 1-800-644-1086 headquarters in Los Angeles, CA and an office in Phoenix, Arizona. The telemarketer stated I would only have to pay a $3.95 shipping and handling fee to receive my gift card. I went along with the whole conversation while using the internet to search for information. Once I got the 1-800 number to their company I found this post and website detailing it was a scam. At that point I continued talking with the telemarketer but then acted as if my phone accidentally hanged up. The conversation had gotten to the point of an automated voice recording asking for personal information such as name, address, etc. I believe my answers would have been recorded to be used for billing; however, I hanged up at that point. They have started calling me repeatedly since I hanged up. I went ahead and canceled my credit card within 15 minutes of receiving the phone call. The only thing my credit card company reported was two initial charges of $1.00 to my account. Here is a list of phone numbers listed on caller id for FEA: 818-870-9205, 714-607-5759, 310-599-9199. Again I do not know if it is a scam, but it seems fishy.

They also called me and said they would send a gift card, I was really busy and said send whatever! They never said anything about charging my account, or that they had my credit card number! I called my credit card company and they got them on the phone, she said that they get the credit card numbers from a list put out by the government of people with goodstanding credit! That is rediculous! I don't know if that's true or whatever, but that shouldn't be legal! I have never even gotten any of the "magazines" that they were supposed to send or my gift card! SCAM SCAM SCAM! People like this can rott in hell.

I was hit with the same scam. Mine happened after I ordered this wu-yi tea, which was supposed to be a free trial. Well once the tea came, I sent it right back (1 day later). After googling the tea, I learned that other people had been scammed, and wanted nothing to do with it. I didn?t put two and two together, but I had actually received a call from someone saying something about my visa card saying "You are a visa card member in good standing". I NEVER gave my card number to this person, nor did I agree to shipping charges. Like an idiot, I said "ok" to the free gas vouchers. Well, Since then I have been charged three separate times for 4.95. I called the number listed, which got me to Road To Wealth. THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM, THOSE PEOPLE ARE COMPLETE JERKS. I have never encountered such low class individuals. They cancelled my TWO! accounts, and said they would NOT refund the shipping charges. I had to dispute them through my bank, and eventually change my account number. When I called to switch my visa account, I learned that there was ANOTHER 4.95 charge pending. If any of you speak to Jessica (supervisor) at RD to Wealth, tell her to take a long drive off a short bridge. Those people deserve every bad thing that comes their way.

BE SURE TO NEVER ORDER THE WU-YI TEA! They sell all your info!

I had the same call this week! The telemarketer asked me to "look" at a travel program and magazine program for a ten day free trial period, and I could cancel if not interested.  I said no three times, but eventually agreed just to get them off the phone because the telemarketer kept going on about a Walmart card. (I should have hung up - since no still means no, right?)  So far, I've received four different "promotions" and was charged for four different "shipping" fees on my credit card.  All are small charges, but each letter mentions set-up fees and monthly membership fees.  I have called and emailed the companies and my credit card also.  The interesting thing is that after I said okay, they hung up and I NEVER GAVE OUT MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. (Nor did I ever verify my financial information or my address) SCARY!  I am wondering where they got the information and how long I will have to fight this. So far they are the same companies that are listed in all of your above notes.  What can we do about these folks? And how DO they get all of your information?

Found charges totaling right at $100 from Road 2 Wealth and Discover Enterprises, which apparently are "sister companies".  Said the charges would stick, and to top it all off, said the Discover enterprises thing was a magazine subscrip., and that those charges would continue coming out for the next 5 years!!  Called my back, and they issued a fraud alert, and are investigating the companies, and have refunded the charges for me!  This is scary, people!  All I did was say I wasn't interested and asked to be taken off the calling list.  Bank told me that was enough for them to link my telephone number withe the last 4 digits of my debit card, and they scammed me, even though I said no!!!!!

This is a sister site to another scam. In my case it was "Financial Education of America" which called and said "You are a visa card member in good standing. blah blah blah - we'd like you to take a look at these magazine and other subscriptions in exchange we'll send you blah blah blah (gifts). They listed the last 4 digits of my visa debit and proceeded to ask for verification of my home address and number. I thought it was legit at first becuase I thought "Why would scammers call me if they already had all my information - wouldn't they just charge me without any notice?" Well - as I found out - they call to make sure your card is valid. Ironically, the card number they had for me was my previous debit card (not the one I had used recently for a purchase I made at amazon - though I think I made that purchase after the call). I thought it was strange that it was my previous debit, but again I thought "It's probably in good standing because it's not used". The more I thought about it, the more I realized the card was not completely cancelled - and I was charged for the shipping. There are several things that I was being charged that I was unaware of when I agreed to "look over their new financal planning services" such as "Orangewood Unlimited Long Distance" and "Road to Wealth". I called both the Long Distance and the original "FEofA" and had all the "subscriptions" cancelled - however -the "Road to Wealth" showed up with a charge  of $3.95. I looked at their website and the $47.51 is a monthly charge for their "service" (whatever that is) after the "7 day trial". I'm calling tomorrow morning to get things straightened out. I don't think this will be the last however. Lucky for me - I was in a similar situation early (what I thought was a scam wasn't) and got another new debit. Hopefully this will stop all charges.

Telemarketing scam that offers you a $100 Walmart gift card and several other services.  Told them I would accept information, but was told I would not get charged.  Sure enough, I've been getting charged for the past couple months.  At first I didn't realize it was the same company, but after some research online using the charge description, found out that it is from a "Road To Wealth" company, which you can see at http://road-to-wealth.net/index.html.

When I googled their phone number, I came across a comment about this phone number, which jogged my memory.  IMPORTANT:  THEY ALREADY HAVE YOUR CARD INFORMATION, so you're probably going to get charged anyways.  If I remember right, I believe they are just validating your phone number linked to your card and your name, and checking if it's legit.

I called their customer support line, and when I started pressing "Theresa" for such things as company information, extension number, their computer systems magically went down.  She said she would request to her supervisor that I be fully refunded and that I would be contacted within 24 hours.  Yeah...right...
