Stop these calls please. I will never pick up when I see a 1-800 number. These calls wake up my baby Grand-daughter and I will NEVER ANSWER THEM.!!!

I have been recieving calls from this number for 2 days now. Each time they call between 7 and 7:30 p.m. I honestly did not know who was calling me and so I googled the number and found this site. I have actually called the number back and the recording is from the Wheel Chair Sports Association. Seriously these people should back off and in all honesty it should be illegal for these people to call us everyday and harrass us the way that they do. ALL telemarketers and stuff. Sick of it. I get more phone calls from these stupid 800 numbers then anything else.

Once you pick up (we're a business I have to pick up all calls) there is a delay so it's clearly automated dialing. The lady identified herself as Gail, no last name or company. I told her I would put her through to my boss... by that I was really putting her on hold for a few seconds just to say that the boss wasn't picking up their line. Gail had hung up before I got back to the line.

Calls repeatedly, no answer and no message ever.

A call to this number produced a recorded message saying that it is "The BC Wheelchair Sports Association". I supported them a few times in years past, but boy! Do I ever regret it now. Pests! You cannot do anything via this number but the message said to call their customer service number at 1-800-713-5173, "during normal business hours EASTERN time". (6am to 3pm Pacific?)

I called that number: These guys are definitely efficient. They have a voice-menu option that can remove your number from their calling list. But they also mention that you may still get calls from other businesses with whom you have a prior relationship (presumably on their behalf). I take this to mean that, if some telemarketer is working on their behalf, you will still get calls from their telemarketer.

Have received many calls from this number.  Very annoying when there is no one on the other end.  Called this number and was told to call 1-800-713-5173.  Did so and after listening to a bunch of stuff got myself put on the do not call list.  Well I hope I got on it.  Will see.  PS.  It is the BC Wheelchair Sports Assoc.

I screen all my calls and do not answer 800 numbers.  I receive almost daily calls from an 800 number, a collection agency for a defaulted student loan.   I receive a second call, only minutes later, from 800-651-3148, perhaps the "BC Wheelchair Sports Association".   l wonder whether the calls come from the same call center and are made by the same call rep?  And, I wonder if I answered the BC Wheelchair call, if the call rep would ask about the loan?   That would be unethical, wouldn't it?

They called my land-line again, just over 2 days later, at 18:06 Pacific.

This was their final time that they will be interrupting me -- as a Shaw Telephone customer, I dialed '*-6-0', verified that call-blocking is enabled, and then added their number as one of the 32 allowed numbers to block.

Thus, their auto-dialer will never bother me again -- they'll get an automated message as a response to their automated message.  So, when their system transfers the "answered" call to a "live" person, that person will get to listen to the automated message.  Serves them right!

P.S. I think that Telus customers also can use STAR-SIX-ZERO.

..I pinched a loaf to grab the phone. 800 number was shown so I waited for the message from the cowards... Especially being cuaght in the s****er, c'mon!  At least leave a message A-Holes! Wheelchair stuff or not, I would still love to wrap my hands around someones neck. If I had to phone a stranger, the call would be respectfu!!. That means not being creepy and illusive cowards. This only adds a little stress to most folks. I will absolutly be answering the 800 number next time and I promise to be extremely DISrespectful.

These people have been calling me everyday for months and never leave a message!  There is only static and white noise from the other end and then they a hang up left on the answering machine.  I never answer a 1-800 number and wondered who are these people!!??  They are driving me nuts!!

They called my B.C. land-line at 13:26 Pacific today.
I was out. No message was left.

This number calls regularly. I do not answer calls from 800-numbers but I called this one back. The answer was a recording purporting to be "The BC Wheelchair Sports Association", but they offer another 800-number to call back their Customer Care Center at 1-800-713-5173, during normal business hours EASTERN TIME. The message says that "these calls are processed by our automated service". I.e., they use a computer-driven dialing system, that never gets needs to rest or sleep.

My guess is that this is a commercial (Ontario?) marketing company that the BC Wheelchair Sports Association (if that's really who they are) HAS HIRED to do full-time, professional telephone canvassing for them.

This number called at 7:38pm on Friday Oct.30, man asked for my wife by name. I handed her the phone and the man also identified as calling from the wheelchair sports association, at which point my wife explained that we cannot afford to donate anything.  The caller then states "oh, you live in those townhomes by the pub, right?" My wife thn sharply asked 'Who IS this?" at which point the caller ended the call.  

Since the caller from this number knows my wife by name and where we live, we became very concerned and I performed some lookups and found this site.  I'm going to look up this "association" now and see if the info jives, they may be victims of someone pretending to be affiliated, or it may be an outright fake company name.

Should it turn out to be a valid company and this is their soliciting tactics, I'm going to be having a very angry talk with their marketing director, because that was just creepy.

Got a call from 800-651-3148.....nobody answering on other end then the line went dead after approx 30 seconds

Got this call about 9:54am PST. Did not answer it, have gotten a few calls from them in the past. They never leave a message. Annoying to say the least. Who are they?

3:18pm Aug. 29, 2008 got a call from 800-651-3148

Received a call from this number at approx 10:10 a.m. Pacific time August 14.  Did not answer, no message left.  Called the number back and heard a recording identifying themselves as the BC Wheelchair Sports Association.  Maybe that's who they are, maybe it isn't.  Sad that you can't trust anybody these days.

No sound coming from other end. No click, white noise - nothing. And they keep calling!
