I called the number again and they ID themselves with something that sounds like Spherion.  Maybe it is legit, but they sure know how to
make it look like a scam with that email and link.

Do you know of anyone that sustained any loses from this scam.  My friend calls me tonight to print out her credit report - she has already emailed this fraud back and clicked on the link to fill out for a free credit report.  I'm thinking that the credit report link has to be legit because how would they know the information on her credit report (she recognized all the companies and said it was a correct report.) However, I told her they make programs now that people can monitor every keystroke made and there may be other ways for her to track down the information being that the link was from this "Kristin's" email...who knows how they can track it or obtain the information now-a-days.  

I guess my main question is, does anyone think she will be a victim of ID theft or maybe someone using her Social Security Number for something else?  Or did she stop soon enough?  

I am trying to find our local credit bureau, I know I was there once but I cant remember what or where it was.

Same deal. I am careful not to give out my full resume to anyone without a Real Company name. I received the same email back. Felt really like a scam. The whole email pretty much talks about credit report.

Funny - not a real offer of employment. Stay away.

Employers are now checking credit reports - but legit ones won't do it this way.  they will do it only if they plan to offer you a job NOT BEFORE THE 1ST INTERVIEW

Oddly enough the phone number and extension do get me voice mail for "Kristin Harris".  The whole thing was so vague I figured it was some scam.  I think it is simply an affiliation scam to get traffic to go to the credit report company and get credit.

I got the same email from this craigslist listing.  It was for the state of NH for a job I wanted to apply for..they told me I had to get a credit report from their company with the link in their email.  I am sorry, I don't think they need my credit report for a job.  But I delved a bit and saw that the cell phone area code is in Pennsylvania.  I wrote back to ask they the name of their company and address so my "financial people" could send them the info they requested.  I doubt it is legit, but will post again with any results I receive.

This wasn't actually a received call, but I sent an email asking for verification that the company listed on a Craigslist message board was legit before sending any personal info.  Despite NOT sending any personal info and NOT sending a resume, I received an email back (on a Sunday, less than 24 hrs after I sent the email) saying that "out of hundreds of resumes (they) received, (mine) stood out the most."  OBVIOUSLY a scammer.  The telephone number they want me to call was (800) 651-6710 and the email address for the "hiring manager" is Email: KristinHarrisHR@gmail.com.  I do not know the name of the company or any details, but they obvious are scammers.
