They are DCM Services.  They specialize in getting money from dead people's estates.  If you look at their website, they brag that they will get the money, while the companies they work for get to keep their brand image unsullied.  DCM's policies go right up to the legal line, but a lot of their employees cross the line, and when they get caught, DCM cheerfully throws them under the bus.  Never cooperate with this company.  They deserve no consideration and no respect.

Never talk to those people.  And certainly don't answer their standard question.  "Do you know who is responsible for John Doe's estate?"  They are in constant trouble with the Better Business Bureau for unethical practices.  Let them find out who the executor of the estate is through the court process.  Don't give them any help.

I started getting calls from this number about a month ago looking for the person or family member for my father in laws estate. Never say what they want. I've had about three different people call me on my cell when I'm at work and can't take it, and of course they are closed the couple of times that I've called back to see what they want. From reading several posts here, I'm getting the feeling that it's just a collection agency. Well, I only have one thing to say to you guys if you are looking for money, like my mom always told me; wish in one hand and **** in the other, and see which fills up first! Their was no assests, we didn't put it into probate, because there was no reason to. There was just a lot of junk, that we had to haul away. Good luck trying to get money from a stone f***ers.

Called for a couple days when not home, finally answered today and seems to be a collections service, trying to track down estate of my wife's former father-in-law about an old debt

Got a call from Kimberly Gallagher at this number looking for the executor of a dead persons estate with my last name. Go away blood suckers.

When there is no estate, no probate, no family left, and nothing but debt,  there is absolutely no way of getting money from the dead. If you have a power of attorney that ceases upon death.  Good Luck Mr. Bill Collector, cuz you are S.O.L.

AND I will not answer the call nor return the call - I am not obligated under any penalty of law to do such a thing.  Go ahead, blow up my phone by continually calling, there is a new creation called turning off the ringer and blocking calls.

Sorry Diana, but you are legally WRONG.  The executor of an estate is responsible for executing the estate funds BUT the families of the deceased are NOT.  The problem with you and your company is that you harass the families until they are at their wits end.  DO YOUR HOMEWORK.  Stop bothering family members and friends.  If you were a legitimate company with legal advisers they would tell you that you have an extremely limited time to file against the estate.  After that period (different depending on the state) you are not entitled to collect.  In addition, if this debt is at the level of a collection agency, it is highly likely that it is OLD debt and not recoverable from the estate.  You and your unethical company attempt to intimidate family members into paying debts they do not owe.  Most likely, you have purchased junk debt and will do anything to get the cash.

This is a collection agency for deceased people.. they call to locate the heirs or those handling the estates of deceased people who still owe money. When I called them back they were very polite, which surprised me. But, I'd say to anyone reading this, you have to remember that even deceased people have to settle their debts. Those who are handling the estates (the executors) are responsible to liquidate the estate of those who have passed and settle off debt. Debt doesn't die when the people do.. so if there is sufficient equity in an estate (cash, stocks, homes, cars, possessions, insurance policies) legally creditors are entitled to be paid when there are no longer with us.

BUT NOTE.. these collectors aren't all that bad. Anyone receiving these calls have to know that they are not personally responsible for the debts of the deceased at anytime. As an executor, however, you're responsible to ensure the debts are satisfied PRIOR to any beneficiary receiving money.

I am not a debt collector.. just someone that got a call from these people... my former employer passed away and somehow they got my personal cell phone.

And Diana.. call them back if you want them to stop.. what kind of an idiot thinks that a few missed calls will make them go away! (selective process needs to kick in I swear.) I am just really surprised that NO ONE here even bothered to call these people back. One 60 second phone call and I'm done.. I'm not the executor.

I'm not seeing these "other comments" but if your hunch is correct, Amber can't throw any more tantrums about how "the [DNC registry / Congress / President / Gub-mint] is useless".

I've never answered calls from this number, but see from other comments that it might be a debt collector.  I Have no debts, but get calls almost daily at home & on cell from this 800 number. I have no idea how they got my cell #.

I would like the calls to stop.Their is nothing I can do about this.
