Three times in five days:  800 6502837, 800 1652504, 800 2853475.  Try to call back and it's a number that cannot be reached with my calling plan....

Prank Call
I've been getting the same- up to four calls a day, with different numbers. They keep waking me up too, calling as late as 11:30pm and as early as 7am. Does anyone know how to get off their call list?

Same as previous messages about $200. Thanks to those who posted complete message because like others I just got tail end. Folks, it does no good to post phone numbers or to call the nunbers back because these crooks are using SPOOFED numbers. The point is they want you to go to these web sites to get you to provide info and offer $200 to play on stupid people's greedy belief they get something for nothing. As long as they are making money off the people stupid enough to go to these phishing sites these calls will continue. AT&T isn't going to do a thing about these calls either because there's no profit in it. The National Do Not Call List IS NOT USED BY CROOKS, so I wish people would stop complaining about that not working,

Hey guys just got it today from these scamming idiots. I didn't see this number in the forum:

(800) 171-2562

Just got the 200.00 call. Never saw it before. It went straight to the ios call blocker. I even called att and asked about the number. No one new anything. My message said go to a mywireless site so they are getting smarter.

You all be careful. Att don't give us crap for free so that right there should tell you.

As "Slim" said,

"That site also shows how other 800notes visitors have reduced the number of telephone scams and telemarketing calls they receive.  (And, a link to Amazon's phone blocker devices and apps is there)."

I always wonder if these 800 calls, viruses, and all the other piracy going on aren't all perpetrated by the people benefiting from selling all the "protections" against them.  I've felt that about the Norton and McAfee type, Lifelocks, and such for years. Think about it folks. Billions!!!! of dollars we are paying a year to protect, What? ... Our information. How come everyone has our information. Shouldn't we own it? And if you want to do business with me, you should pay for it! And if you sell it, you should pay me for it ....... and then go to jail.      (I hate people who say this, but...) "Just saying......."

S***......At&T can't do anything either. These people are ghosts, apparitions, snakes in the grass. Never seen, certainly never caught and actually prosecuted! It amazes me that whether its a land line or cell that  I can't filter out caller ID'd calls that don't have a name and business ,or whatever, linked to them.  I have to "verify" my accounts with the likes of paypal and such. How come these Fake #s don't have to have a physical entity verified behind them? Or are these people stealing legitimate business #s for the calls and trying to direct us to the net as it seems they are with these "At AT&T we care and thank you" calls.

I wrote in another post that I also called a couple of the half to 1 dozen of these #s. No one said I won anything, actually, both places, were (at least what seemed to be) legitimate businesses. They didn't ask me for any information except the number I was calling from which they probably already knew. They were polite, (American), and said they had no record of me or my numbers. And I had never had any business with them. The first was a financial company, the other I can't remember. I guess  gave them my name, that's probably bad these days, but otherwise only my number.
I don't know, I don't get how this stuff always happens and there is never anything we can do about it until after we actually get burned. And usually little then.

Prank Call
I've been getting these calls about once a day for a month and it's pissing me off, it's a different number everytime! I just called it back ... The number rang me an hour ago & left the AT&T robot message everyone is referring to, I got ADT home security help desk, the guy was real professional and apologized that that has been happening but assured me that number belongs to ADT Helpline... and didn't ask for any info...so just super annoying and sucks that maybe the scam is covering it's track with another number?!?! Is this possible

Same as above but different number each day (today: 800-463-2843). The scam has found a way to make my phone "vibrate" AND send multiple tones, hoping to make me answer. I have NOT called them back (most of the time the message truncates).
Recommend you do NOT answer or respond.

I got another call using this scam from 800-112-2155 again, though I think the caller ID is spoofed.  This time, I was able to answer the call so I heard the whole pitch.  Similar pleasant male voice but it sounded mechanical this time, like it was synthesized.  And this time he was offering $100 from ATT if I go to the website www.goforatt.com to enter my information to pick the money up.   I took a look and it's definitely a phishing site.  They want your login credentials and the lat 4 of your SSN.  /Ken

I got the same voice message on my cellphone.  The beginning was truncated by my outgoing message so I didn't get anything before "? .com.  Simply log into your account to redeem your 200 dollars.  At AT&T we care about you.  Thank you and have a nice day."   Pleasant male voice.  The caller ID was 800-112-2155.  My bet is their caller ID is spoofed.

Thanks to all who posted here alerting us to the phishing scam. Don't touch those websites.

I have had the same issue! I called At&t and they said many people are calling in about it. I am on the do-not-call list too and they keep calling. I called the # back a couple times and instead of At&t, they said I won a free cruise to the Bahamas and another time I won something from Allstate and was even connected to a legitimate person from Allstate who was unaware of the situation. Every time I report them, a new # calls. It's so frustrating! At&t is supposedly working on it so we'll see.

I just got one of their messages. It came from (800) 304-1871. Though my phone didn't ring at all. It just popped up as a voice mail. Not that I would've answered even if it did. I think if At&t was gonna message me, they wouldn't use a automated call.
