IRS needs to send you statement of your acct.

Contacted the Illinois dept of revenue and they assured me that this is a legit company who handles they're back taxes claims.

This is a debt collect, they say that are a law firm and that they are collecting a debt for the Illinois Dept of Revenue.

Don't call them back.  The state knows how to contact you if they really need to without the help of some  shady collection company.  

I they call again tell them that you are recording the call and that you are requesting thatt that cease and desist contacting you at work and home.

If they continue, you will exercise your rights with the FDCPA (Fair Debt and Collection Practice Act)

Any calls from this phone #800-654-2095 which supposedly connected with a Company called Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson LLP (Lawyers).
This so called Company is a scam. They portray themselves as debt collectors. They buy your information from a database, that is how they know info about you, then proceed to send you a legit looking letter to collect on many categories such as (IRS-Speeding Tickets-Utilities etc). Please Do Not give them your bank info and ignore all letters or phone calls as the FBI is looking for them.

On further thought, now think this might be a telemarketer verifying the number is sometimes answere live and not always an answering machine or fax.  I have decided, therefore, never to answer it again.  If it really is the Illinois Revenuers, they can write to me, they have the address.

Calls almost daily.  Does not leave a message if I don't answer.  I have answered this three times now.  Each time it is an open line, nobody talking.  But I think listening.  Once a young-sounding woman said "hello" and when I responded, the person disconnected.

Got calls at work and home from these people, they are a law firm that handles back taxes owed to the state of Illinois.

Gto a call today and message was a law firm for the illinois Department of Revenue.

Received a call from "UNKNOWN" who actually left a message on my answering machine stating that they were from the Illinois Department of Revenue, and that I needed to call back asap ("time sensitive") they left this number, an extension number, and a case number.
