All credit reporting agencies have a system in place to report errors. Contact the 1-800 number you have to start with. They will give you more information. Start there first! Please be careful of dealing with any company that wants a fee to "fix your credit". It takes time, but you can do it yourself.

I suspect it's a fake collections company called Enhanced Recovery Corporation from Jacksonville Florida. Loanda (collecions agent) Calls me about a cloased overdraft account with Wells Fargo Bank a year later. I owed $900 and she told me I could settle this account with $600 i sent 2 payments of $300 and never got a recept. Iv'ed called them 3 times asking for a recept never got one. ERC tells me the account is paid. but the intresting part is that there is annother collections company charging me $347. on that same Wells Fargo account. Dont send money to this company they are really rude never get recepts. they have some complains on the web do a yahoo serch

This number has called me four times in the last six days.
| misie76 2011-06-06 20:58:12 Unknown |
I keep on getting these calls. I put it on my block list but they come back with a new number every time. It is Enhanced Recovery Corporation, a debt collection agency who try to collect a debt from somebody I don't even know. I tried to call them back to let them know that I'm not the person that they try to contact and that i would like my number removed form their list but I got a answering machine.

I've been getting sooooo many calls from this number and it's always a recording that states that they are a collection agency trying to colect a debt from Jose aleano sr sometimes it's a jr. But I have no idea who that is! I've called to let them know that they have a wrong number and an actual person answered me all pissed off telling me he'll remove me. He didn't let me ask any more questions, I wanted to ask who they were and where they were, etc. but he rudely hung up. I tried calling back and got a recording. Since that call I made that day, the calls from this "collection agency" have doubled and sometimes even call 3 times a day. This is unbelieveable! Even if I have them on my blocked list on my cell they still manage to get through!! This has gone way over board!! I don't know who to call to complain and that they would actually do something about this!! I'm changing my number!!

these calls are really annoying and shouldnt be aloud
| jay 2011-06-06 20:58:12 Unknown |
Yeah, what ends up happening is if someone used their number to sign up with a company or apply for credit or anything and then you end up with their number...the company by law has to reapply the number to the account before they send it to another agency...sucks for us...but such is life...=[

These calls are absolutely illegal and they know it.
The Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCP Act")15 USC 1692 et seq is intended to eliminate abusive and deceptive debt collection practices. It only applies to consumer, not commercial transactions.
Regarding contacting third-parties it provides at 15 USC 1692c(b):
(b) Communication with third parties Except as provided in section 1692b of this title, without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector, or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, or as reasonably necessary to effectuate a postjudgment judicial remedy, a debt collector may not communicate, in connection with the collection of any debt, with any person other than the consumer, his attorney, a consumer reporting agency if otherwise permitted by law, the creditor, the attorney of the creditor, or the attorney of the debt collector.
Send a certified letter to ERC describing the facts about the calls. Say you believe that the debt collector is acting in violation of the Federal FDCP Act and (your) state law, including, but not limited to 15 USC 1692c and insert the above statute. Demand that it stop all contact with you immediately or you will seek recovery of civil damages, sanctions, costs and fees and will contact state and federal attorney generals' offices to enforce the debt collector's obligations.

They keep calling my cellphone asking for someone who I assume used to have this number. It sounds like a collection agency.
I have told them I don;t know the person they are looking for and to stop calling, but they continue to call.
It is very irritating and a violation of the Dont Call List.

these people call me several times a month, its a recording stating that they are calling for Paul Hullis (no one by that name here) and that if i am not him, i need to hang up. then the recording goes on to say that they are a debt collection agency and they need to settle a debt with me (ie. paul) they give and 800 number to call and that's it. I'd really like to call them back and say they have the wrong person, but i'm afraid i will get scammed

This company keeps on calling because they are trying to collect for someone who had my cell phone number before. Even when I've told them I wasn't this person they still call.

I agree, I understand I am responsible for a debt, but I'm doing the best I can and I'm not gonna magically have more money the next day. I have a collection agent (calls every 10 mins untill I answer it) telling me to go pawn my stuff to pay him. Then when I'm able to earn $30 bucks so they will stop calling me for a week so I can get my paycheck, they have a different agent call me(every 20 min until I answer) and argue with me on the phone about my bill. This is harrasment.

Hey Guys. The National Do Not Call List is for telemarketers trying to sell you things, it has no authority over debt collectors trying to collect debt. Collectors fall under the authority of the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). To stop these calls you must answer the call. Find out what debt they are trying to collect. Then, without getting into a conversation with them say: "I dispute this debt and believe it is invalid. DO NOT contact me at this number again or I will report you to the FTC for illegal collection practices" and hang up. This has stopped these calls for me every time! If they do call you back again (and they never have for me), write down the time and date of each call. Also, get your phone records from your phone company to back you up and report them to the Federal Trade Commission. You could get big money from the collector for violating FTC debt collection practices.
You can start reading about it here:
http://www.debtcollectionanswers.com/debt-collection-complaints.html
You can file a complaint with the FTC here:
https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en
If we all do this this, these calls and shady collection practices will stop!

I have received call from this number from the research I have done I believe it is from a company called ERC, but there is very little information about this company. They have several numbers
800-658-0054,
800-501-7759,
800-697-1234,
877-591-3703,
I have reported the to the donot call registry and all they do is rotate the numbers. They need to be stopped.

This is one of several numbers used by this joke of a company. They buy soft bad debts, not real collectable debts, from a variety of companies such as Dish Network. They buy them for cents on the dollar and then program their computers to drive you crazy with calls until you give them money. They cannot place your debt on your credit report as they have no idea whether the debt is legitimate, and they do not care. Program your phone to ignore their calls and NEVER pay them. They don't even bother to take you off the call list even if you pay.

This is ERC (Enhanced Recovery Corporation), an agency attempting to collect a debt. They called my house and cell numbers until I was finally forced to make a settlement payment on my credit card. Even though I've made
this payment, they are still calling me. We need to band together and report
them to the BBB for harrassment and evasion of privacy.
