I wish I could now tell the world. I received a email from freestuff.net.au offering free trail Pureliftultra. Hmmm. Cost $4.95 postage.I thought great and then checked my credit card. 2 debits totalling $$94.75(aud). I immediately thought that this was suspicious so began checking it out. Should have done that in the first place. I have tried to contact them.Went to Pureliftultra website and spoke to a online chat and thats BS as well.Phone number for customer service given to me was 18006593588.I rang and got an extrenely rude man. He informed me that it was an Australian number. I said I did not know this he said- Well now you do lady and immediately hung up in my ear. I am also extremely mad about this.

I'm in Melbourne and I just called them all up. Cancelled the whole lot and have started a 'transaction dispute' process with MasterCard.

This whole thing is a scam. The pills were nothing more than a placebo effect.

I didn't bother asking for my money back on the phone. I'll leave that to the dispute process I just started with ANZ/MasterCard.

There were all sorts of transactions ranging from $1 to $13 and that doesn't include these so called miracle pills. I supposedly signed up for these ebooks when first buying Acaiburn but that is completely false. I was offered a FREE ebook and I accepted. There was no mention anywhere that I would be subscribed to a service after that or made to pay any amount of money in return for it. Total BS.

From Australia I dialed from my mobile to make the international prefix easier. It was also cheaper than using the home phone!

+18006593588 (Acaiburn Extreme)
+18662796513 (Insider Secret)
+18009895907 (Comprehensive Weight Loss)

All numbers had the same recordings and BS.

Oh, I don't know... but I presume its a direct debit as the money automatically comes out of your account if you don't call up an cancel?

Ive hopefully cancelled sucessfully now! Apparently there are 3 numbers to call... but I don't know if I was signed up to all 3 in the first place. Acai people told me to just call one other number.

I wish more people knew about this stupid scam!!

How can they set it up as a direct debit if they only have the card number? Do they not need the account number and sort code to do that?

Just a quick update from my previous post... and people still getting scammed, man i feel bad for you. And to think the advert I got them from is facebook.

Since cancelling, ive sent the pills back and been charged the montly trial of $59.95 still!! Along with web access at $6.95!!

I just spoke to someone on live chat (uk time 11.30pm they were online) and he said that my refund was issued yesterday (hmmm, i hope this time its true) and that to cancel my web access thing i have to call a different number.

I did phone barclays to cancel my credit card but apparently - becuase its set as a direct debit, the direct debit has to be cancelled before a credit card can sucessfully be shut down other wise you still get charged! I didnt know whether to belive the bank or not... like - what would of happened if  my card was stolen and the theif set up a direct debit? I wouldnt be able to cancel the card until i cancelled the theifs direct debit?!!? crazy! If anyone has any info on cancelling credit cards when a direct debit is on the card please let me know!

THEY GET $59.95 AND AN ADDITIONAL $6.95 NOT INCLUDING THE $4.95.  I DID TALK WITH A VERY HELPFUL PERSON ON 1-866-279-6513 TO CANCEL MY WEB SUBSCRIPTION AND 1-800-659-3588 CANCELLED THE PILLS.  IF IT SEEMS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE.  WE HAVE BEEN SCAMED!

Hey,

You can email support@acaiburn.com to cancel but they will just send you an automated email response.  I have had to shut down my bank account.  Transfer all of my direct debits & transfer my wages & savings to my new account because I read all the horror stories & didnt want 2 take the chance of them taking any more money from me.

Its such a misleading & dishonest "company" Dont bother trying to call them as it seems that even when they say they will cancel, they dont.  your better off trying to block them through your card issuer or bank.

Hope this helps.

CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD. If you can't get through, cancel your credit card. No credit card, no money taken out of your account! Just tell the credit card company to issue you a different card!

Just phoned them after realising that this was a scam 5 minutes after I stupidly ordered them... took a few minutes to get through on that number.

I asked to cancel my account and she took my name which she couldnt find and then took my email address. The lady was actually kind of nice - totally the opposit from what i was expecting!! she said that I would get charged for the packet and that I have to return the packet to them with my account number that she gave me and I wont get charged! lets just hope i get the packet within the 14 days!!

When I placed the order someday in January, their online ordering system seemed to get broken and could not go through. As I never got an order confirmation, I thought there was no deal. However, I Just found I was charged $59.95 for pills and $4.95 for web access on March's credit card report. How evil it could be?! I have NEVER receive any pills from them. Does some one know where this company is located and which authority we can report to about this scam?
