They called claiming I owed them money for magazines I never ordered. Then threatened to send out a bill collector unless I gave them my credit card number. I was scared and gave them my credit card number and they started charging me $39.95 per month. I disputed the charges with my credit card company and the charges were reversed. I also changed my credit card number so they wouldn't be able to continue charging me. I tried calling them to cancel any services that they thought I ordered (but did not) and they told me that I owed a $200 cancellation fee for a service I never ordered or received. They hung up on me. A month after they were no longer able to charge my credit card, they started calling me and threatening me. I told them I didn't order any magazines and hung up the phone. Today I received 2 letters stating that I owed them over $1000! I never ordered, nor received anything from them! The letters threaten bill collection again! I am vontacting my local law enforcement!

I am getting billed twice a month  by this company for $49.90 each time . The company is billing under the name of AMERICAS ELITE MAGAZINES with a phone number of 999-411-8001 which is NOT a working number ! After trying to reach them numberous times finally got a #of 800-661=0619. Waiting for a reply from them now   whick I probably WILL NOT get a reply back!!

They said they were from reader services employee #27176 named william grant. He gave me my first # pf my card and wanted me to verify the rest. No way im giving out my account # to someone from a restricted #.the #is for america's elite media, i got an answer the third time calling. Still didnt give them any info.

They just called me wanting my card number. Not happening.

same thing.  this company called my wife repeated times and got her to pay $50!  the first guy made her cry and then she talked to his manager and he threatened her with collections and bad credit.  horrible, horrible, horrible.  

the manager is bill myers.  i have called multiple times with no result.  anyone, feel free to call him at 800-661-0619.  

we had no orders with them.  nor ever will.  canceled my card and will turn it into the card for a refund of money.

Have you heard anything else from them, or find anything else about the company?  I spoke with one of their phone reps and i got the rep to give me their address.  Not surprisingly, she gave me a false address.

I have the same thing going on. They labeled themselves as Reader Services and were trying to charge me a "marked down" $39.95 for 30 months. I went and cancelled the card they had the information for and they still call me. I haven't completely resolved the issue yet, and just got the first shipment of magazines today (they originally called me 4 days ago). Anyway, they bullied me into settling to pay $39.95 for two months to get my "account in good standing" so that I could then cancel, which I would have to pay 1/3 of what I owe for the entire 30 months to do so, or at least downgrade the package. So immediately after that heated conversation with these people, I went and canceled my credit card and they are continuing to call me. I also read online that the collections agency they were threatening to turn my charges over to was actually affiliated with this company and is also part of the scam. My plan now is just to continue not paying, and report this company to the FTC, BBB, and Attorney Generals of thiers and my state.

Has anything else happen since then?

they've been calling me to request payment as well.  i've been ignoring them.  they would always call on a private number so my caller id doesn't read it.  they've given me a number to call but it always go to voice mail.  i won't give them anything unless i get someone who will answer their phone number when i call.

They called my husband to say he was behind on a bill and they were about to make a hit on his credit report.  We were trying to do a refi on our home so my husband paid it.  When they kept taking the money each month he called to put an end to it.  They renewed his "contract" and told him to wait 30 days to cancel.  Now we seem to be locked in until July 2014 for magazines we never read. We have never spent $39.95 a month on magazines...we rarely ever buy magazines.

They claim I ordered magazines with them months ago and that I owe them $49.95 a month every month for the next three years.  I never ordered magazines.  Tried to get me to do it again a few months later and double billed me.  Told me they would have to tak eme to collections if I didnt comply.   COMPLETE scam!!!

Claim I have an account with them and owe 49.95 with additional payments this is a scam.

I think this is another company scamming people for magazines.  I would like to know what is the status of this company.  I have requested information but have not received anything from them.
