4:45 pm 11/28/11. Got a recorded call in a female voice claiming my debit card had been "limited" because of an "internal security error" and to press #1 to fix it. I hung up.

Got the same call tonight, Tuesday, 7:42 pm in Dallas, but from four digit #, 5010.  Thought I'd harass them back and pushed 1 to prank them, since I don't use BoA.  Wonder if it could be a virus or trojan?  I read about some links online that allow the virus to capture your data, just wondering if by pressing 1 I gave it permission to run?  Anyone have a knowledgeable comment?

The giveaway was the poorly composed sentence: "There are some technical failure with your debit card due to billing errors and we introduced a temporary blockage".  So, there "are" a failure, Einstein?  No real company or American composes sentences like that.  

Also, the crappy text-to-voice computer voice was pretty suspicious. Has scam written all over it.

I got a call from this number late at night on a Sunday, too.  I have never had any account with BoA either...

I got a call from this number at 10pm on a Sunday claiming to be Bank Of America about my account being frozen.....  Its obvious is a scam what bank will call on a sunday at 10pm !  Plus well I don't have any account with Bank of America

got the call around 6pm in the Dallas area on Sunday, hung up when they asked me to press 1 to unlock my card.  Wishing BofA would track down these b*****ds.

I just got a call about my debit card ..... to reactivate it please press 1 now.... Nice try but I don't think so either... is there a national fraud hotline that we need to forward these calls to?

My husband got a call from this number at 2:15am.  Unfortunately, we missed the call, but I did call it this morning and got Car Star of Canada.  Could not get a hold of a live rep to find out why they would call at 2 am central time.

I got a call from this number at 3:49 am this morning! Who are these people?

Got a call from this number at midnight.  Heard a recorded message stating BOA account has been frozen to to press 1 to transfer to the security department.  I hung-up and call this number is some type of Auto Shop in Canada.

Same thing happened to me last night at about 1:35am.
I did not push 1 as my brain wasn't working so quickly after being woken up in the middle if the night.
I did call B of A and they said it's a scam as long as you don't give them any information and just hangup your fine.
I did set my account alerts a bit tighter today.

Called said they were from Bank of America and one of my debit cards was locked.  I contacted Bank of America directly and they informed me that all of my cards were fine, and that the number given, 800-665-2264 was not a valid Bank of America number.  This is a phising scam, and no one should give these crooks any information.  They operate from Cananda because identity theft in Canada is only a misdomeanor offense.  Hardly worth prosecuting.

I received a phone call at 1:50 a.m. this morning claiming to be Bank of America and asking for info on my account. I do not have a Bank of America account.

I got a call this morning at 2:06 am. Of course, I didn't answer but the voicemail said something like "press one for security" or something along those lines. Smh. I'm from North Texas too.

So they AWAKE ME at 3:14AM Monday morning, of course I was super disoriented and half asleep, so I shut my phone off and didn't answer (no voicemail left): first of all, since when are 800 numbers allowed to call at 3 in the morning-- esp on a weekday??!!!!!!! Ridiculous!
Then when I call the number back thinking I could remove myself from whatever list this was, I get a Canadian car collision company (had to look it up b/c the company name was barely audible!) that will go no further unless I have a specific extension.

AAARRRRGGGHHH... I am also in Texas (Dallas) so are they just hitting TX numbers randomly?!
The only place I recently gave my number to was for drawings at the Taste of Dallas if anyone else did... grrr....

Got a call at 3:15am! No message, but my wife got a call yesterday for the same frozen credit card with bank  of america, needless to say.. we don't have a boa account or card.. Also in texas..

My wife's cell was called at 5:32 am on Monday August 1st.

My cell was called at 6:20 am on Monday august 1st.

These idiots called my cell phone at 3:38 in the morning. I have no idea who they are or what they want. I don't have a Bank of America account of any kind. I tried calling back and got a rapid busy signal.

THEY CALLED ME TOO AT 7/31 AT 12:06 AM. WHAT 800 NUMBER CALLS THEN. I GOOGLED IT THIS MORNING AND ITS SOME AUTO BODY PLACE IN CANADA. TOTAL SCAMMERS USING THEIR DAILER SOMEHOW. GLAD I DIDNT ANSWER AND THANKS FOR THE INFO.

I received a call at 5am from this company on my cell phone.  I called back, and got the same info listed-car company in Canada.  During day time hours, the phone # rings buzy.

When I awoke this morning I looked at my cell and saw that I had a missed call from an 800 number on july 31st at MIDNIGHT! I called the number back a got a fast busy signal, then I googled the number and read all these responses. The funny thing is...I don't have a Bank of America card?? I also live in Texas.

I got a call at 5:55 this morning and rejected it. Sounds like the same scam reported here. Thanks for the postings. It made it easy to block rather than having to wait till my bank opens so I can call them -- the message got cut off so I couldn't tell what they were saying needed to be re-activated in the voice mail.

Claimed to be Bank of America and said my credit card was frozen. I don't even have a credit card. Don't give them ANY information!

I got a robocall at 4:30AM from a source claiming to be Bank of America. They stated that my credit card had been frozen.  I just let the call hang up on its own.

Got a call @ 6:22 on my cell, no message left.  Thinking it may not be from Canada, but maybe a lot further south and east.  Lots of scams come from Nigeria.  I guess the No Call list doesn't apply to crooks.

The same number called me at 1:10am on 7/31. I didn't answer because I dont answer 800 numbers. These idiots need to get a clue and get a real job.

SCAM.......Got a call from these jokers...at 11:45pm...saying BOA debit card was frozen due to fraudulent activity.
I hung up and googled number ...also called the 800 number the call came from...some car business in Canada..800-665-2264...reported to BOA!

I also got the same phone call last night saying it was Bank of America. I just hung up.
