Debt Collector
Got 10 calls from them since Monday and finally called them back.  It was to collect a debt.  I asked the lady what debt I have $165 credit as I overpaid.  She stated to do a house loan modification on my late payment.  Told her not late and I never requested a house lona modification.  I called them back in July when I husband had heart surgery with no paycheck coming in and that my house payment may be late.  That was back in July made arrangements to modify payments temporay with the service center but caught up by October of one payment in that resulting in the $165 credit.  The woman told me that BOA and FHA don't like credit on accounts.  Mind you this was BOA arrangement. Told her to apply it to either escrow account or the principle stated can't do that.  Asked if she wanted me to lower my Dec payment for the $165 she said no as that would be a partial payment.  Told her to take me off the call list and don't call me again.

I got a call from Ken Brown and he would not give me any information. BOA has been giving us the runaround for over 3 yrs with our mortgage. They say it is approved then restart the modification. Finally, we got a letter delivered by special courier saying that our house is going to be foreclosed. We got an attorney and filed bankruptcy and setup payments via the court - they keep calling. Our attorney is reporting them. BOA is a rip off!

We had the exact same experience with BOA.  It went on for approx. 3 yrs. until we hired an outside company who dealt w/ modifications on a regular basis.  We knew that we should qualify for this, however, BOA ALWAYS came up w/ a reason that we didn't.  Once we hired HSI, we were approved!  They made sure to get it straight, but without them it wouldn't have happened.

Yep it's B of A alright.  The problem is that they took on all those crappy Countrywide loans and during the consolidation they mixed them up with good standing B of A loans.  They are calling people all over the place and harassing them even when the loans are in good standing.  Whoever took over that section is a moron.  As long as you have your payment in by the 15th they can't charge a late fee and as long as it in before the end of the month there is nothing they can do to you.  Just don't exceed the 30-60-90 day late periods and it can't be put on your credit report.  Do a credit check if you wish, you are entitled to one free per year, plus additional ones if there is an error.  If B of A put something on there that they should not have and you can prove it.  Then you have a case against them.

This is the Bank of America Loan Mod department.  Another phone number for them is 800-669-0102.  They call because you recently (maybe) applied for a loan modification. I applied for mine 6 years ago, they turned me down after Fedexing paperwork to me month after month asking for the same information.  They called over and over as well.  It became so annoying and I became really tired of yelling at the bank robo-caller so I finally asked how to get these calls to stop.

Turns out you have to write a letter telling them you are no longer interested in a loan mod from BofA.  Let's face it---why would anyone want a loan mod from them?  The Fraud department will also help with this issue and give you phone numbers and addresses to contact regarding getting these clowns off your back.

Not that it helps.  My mortgage account was noted in March about my lack of interest in a loan mod and they just started calling me again.  Too many departments, too much time on their hands.

I don't have dealings with BOA, never have, never will.  My home is paid for for 10 years already & was never with BOA anyway.  They call my # 3 or 4 times a day, I have told them before that I don't have anything to do with BOA but they continue to call>  I just don't answer anymore.  If this was legit why not send me a letter or something through the mail???

All the reports you are reading are old from 2010 to may 2012. Disregard the comments.

APRIL 2013
This is Bank of America Home Mortgage. I have verified. The woman on the phone said to look for a piece of mail from BOA. I take care of my elderly Mother's finances. I opened the mail and it was from them. The letter stated she was behind on payments... which she was NOT!

Bank of America is a trash financial institution. The ONLY reason Bank of America lived through the mortgage meltdown was because our idiot politicians, including Obama, gave them billions to keep alive. BOA gave tends of thousands of mortgages to illegal aliens. How do I know? Two of my brothers are general contractors. They sold homes to these illegals (unwittingly). Mortgage loan processors for BOA were giving mortgages to anyone. Just sign the document. All of those illegal Mexicans ended up like everyone else. The interest only ballooned from $2,000 payments to over $5000 payments which they could not afford. BoA was just as bad as CountryWide mortgage.

I have received two calls from this 18006699950, I closed all my account with them in 2005.  When I called all I got was they wanted my information.  I did not give it, but call my old local branch and they put my number on a do not call list.  They had said they were trying to collect a bad debit for a mr. Scott McKenny, who I don't know .  So, if you get a call from them call your local branch and be added to the do not call list, then if they do call again you can fill a complaint with the Feds against them.  GOOD LUCK TO ALL

I just returned my permanent modification papers to Bank of America last week. My attorney checked with them and was assured that the documents had all been received. Then tonight I got a call from 800-669-6650 from a man who called me by name and said he was from BOA. He stated that this was not a solicitation call and that he needed me to call him at my earliest convience at 877-471-4370, to discuss a concern that had come up in the office of the President and CEO of the bank. I do not answer numbers I do not know, so he left all of this in a voicemail. Since my modification was already approved and since my attorney has been handling it, I am very suspicious as to what could have come up and why he was calling me at 7:18 p.m. on Friday  night. However It took them 19 months to finish the modification and my attorney did file formal complaints through Federal agencies.

I have been working for over a year with BAC.  They wanted me to do a loan modification.  I did not.  BAC said I had to.  I strated the process.  Twelve months and a destroyed credit report later, it still is not settled.  I told them, they can have the home.  I don't want it anymore.  Haven't heard back.

This is a legit number. I've been working with BoA on a repayment plan since we got behind. She just called to let me know that I had a new case manager (I already knew her name, so I knew it was legit). They didn't ask me any info that I wasn't willing to give.

I received a letter in the mail supposedly from BOA stating they received my correspondence on my home loan and due to the specific nature of my question, I needed to call 1-800-669-6650. I called and gave them the account number shown on the letter and they couldn't pull anything up in their system. He asked for my SS# and I told him that I had already given him my account number and that should be enough. He couldn't find anything in the system and told me their systems went down over the weekend and it may have been a glitch and their system must have automatically sent the notice. I told him I found that strange since the letter was dated TWO WEEKS prior. I also told him I KNEW who my mortgage servicer was and that I had NEVER contacted BOA regarding a loan of any type, and that they were NOT my current servicer. He didn't seem to know how to respond to that and I hung up.

Something similar happened to me. I've sent replies to their paperwork requests 5 times now and they still cannot get my current address straight. I've been denied a mortgage loan modification twice with no explanation and have sent their requested materials to 2 different addresses. I've worked thru NACA to no avail, too. BANK OF AMERICA CANNOT GET ITS ACT TOGETHER.
