I wouldn't blatantly advertise your number online. That's a good way to get more calls from unwanted people.

They call me late in the evening or around dinner time. I picked up the phone one, and nobody speaks. They just hang up, after I say "Hello"! Most likely, it is some scam.

I had the same thing happen to me.

I get many calls a day. They are trying to sell education. I say don''t all but they continue to call. I am reporting them again.

Keep getting calls from this number after putting resume online. It is Liquid Eduacation if anyone would like to know. They don't stop calling.

Got 2 maybe 3 calls in the last 2-3 days from this number they never leave a message. Most likely from reading the other comments the numbers get locked into a dialing machine/computer that auto dials until someone picks up.

Second time I have had calls from this number. Rang twice today on my cell and when I answered there was a hang up. Called the number back and got "Tim" from Liquid Education on the line. Asked the guy to repeat the company name because I did not catch it the first time. Asked him what kind of a company they were and he countered with "Can I have a name and a zip code to check our records?" I said he didn't need my name and zip code to tell me what kind of a company they were, and I asked him if he could provide me a web address. He hung up quite quickly after that.
Found the website and here's the "About Us" info: Liquid Education is a division of PlattForm. We focus on telecommunication services that match potential students with possible choices for continuing or advancing their education. Liquid Education was founded in 1985 as a direct mail, publishing and telecommunications company operating under the name of Target Marketing Inc. In 2005, the company was acquired by PlattForm Advertising, and in 2013, the name for the call center part of the business was changed to Liquid Education.
Oh please...just stop wasting my time!

How does applying for a job pull these scumbags out of the woodwork....I want a job to make money, not go to school to spend money....this is so frickin annoying....
| Patty 2013-09-12 18:44:35 Unknown |
I also posted my resume and have received a call from this number. I called the number back and its Liquid Education...probably wanting to know if one is interested in continuing education.

Liquid Education is what the message said when I called this number back. I have also posted my resume and started receiving too many of these calls. I have been checking those "no, don't call me" boxes and they are still calling. me.

I've told the last 2-3 people I made the mistake of talking to that I'm not interested in continuing my education - still getting calls, and I'm also on the do not call list.

I would like to suggest that to be cautious you pull a credit report for your daughter, just to make sure no one is using her identity. You can get one for free at www.annualcreditreport.com . You will need a report for each of the three agencies. (This is the correct site for the free report provided by law - avoid the scammy sites which are just a come on for an expensive service.)
This is really something everyone should do. You are allowed a free report from each bureau once a year. Some like to pull all three on a date they will remember each year (birthday for example). Others like to stagger them so that they get a report from one of the agencies every few months.
I make this suggestion in your case because your daughter would make a great identity theft target, and because something happened somewhere which put her on the radar of these creeps. If it was simply her graduation, you ought to look into what your local schools are doing with sensitive information like graduation lists. They should not be making them available for commercial use.

This number has been calling my house five times a day for several months, asking for my eldest daughter who just graduated high school. The problem is that my daughter is still a minor. I called that number back and told the woman who answered that I want the calls to stop. She asked me if I knew what the calls were about. I said they were calling because someone found out that my eldest just graduated high school. She then asked if she could speak to my daughter. Ugh, hello? What did I just say about the calls stopping? I told her no that my daughter is a minor, and no one will be speaking to her. Then the fool gets mouthy with me. She questioned me because my daughter graduated. Hasn't anyone ever heard of a child graduating high school a year or two early? Well, this moron ever has.
I will be reporting this companies tactics. It is harassment to call someone five times a day. Sometimes the calls have been back to back.

Margo, it is unfortunate but there is little anyone can do about scammers and illegal telemarketers. They do not observe the Do Not Call Registry list and there is no one immune to their calls. We are all in the same boat on this. Thieves will be Thieves, until hopefully someday they are caught.
| Margo 2013-04-13 14:57:31 Unknown |
I am on the National Do Not Call List for telemarketing and scam companies will you please stop calling me.
