These types of calls are always scams. Im not even american. Just have my american phone nr. with a mail forwarding company. Luckily I just get the calls sent to me as files, so I can get rid of them through my spam filter.

Yeah I just got this postcard in the mail from (U S blankz) with no return info, hand-wrote little card probably because I don't open there dumb letters saying there here to help when they take $200 and maybe $30 goes too principle on 8000. I went into a local branch and tried to get a lower rate and the "banker" what ever the hell that is anymore, he says to me that is not possible so now I'm here telling u that U. S. Bank sucks and I'm going to a credit union were the people own the bank and not CEOs screwing us over and over

This is definitely a fake deal, they called my house and asked for me by my prior married name from my husband who has been deceased since 1983.  I have not used that name since then.  They just answered the phone member services and asked for my last 4 of my social security number and my mailing address.  I asked what it was relating to and they said a delinquent credit card account.  I said I only have one credit card and it is with my credit union and has a zero balance, so who do you work for?  They said I need your information so I can tell you.  I said you mean to tell me you don't even know who you work for, and she hung up on me.  Her name is Lisa, ext. 1560431, so for the poster above who said it is definitely legitimate man up and pay you sh*t.... you are full of it, I have an 835 credit score and I am not dumb enough to give out my personal information.  If they were legitimate they would know it without me giving it to them.  Reporting number to Ohio State Attorney General for investigation, I suggest everyone else do the same for their state.

I recieved a call from this number. I had to listen to the message several times just to get the ext. number. However this person never identified themself or where they were calling from. Just asked for my sister and said it was important. My sister does have a US bank account. However I dont care if who this number is because they are waaaaaaay to vague in their messages. Its fishy I tell you.

I just got a post card (with no return address) saying that "it is very important that  I speak with you", and that they have been trying to contact me then asking that I call this number. There is a handwritten extension that I can't make out and a name " Nakita".

The Bible does not say "lenders are evil", it says "the borrower is slave to the lender".  They are very different statements.  While this company's collection practices are clearly violating both federal law as well as any kind of human decency, please do not use their misdeeds to rewrite the Bible.

Got a call from these guys saying they were from Elan credit services, and that my account was overdue.  Rick said that if I were to pay via my checking account, he would wave the late fee.  Didn't have my checking book with me, so I called Elan later to find out it was a legit caller.  Sounds like it might be a third party hired by both Elan and US Bank.  The woman at Elan took care of me, and waved the fee.  My suggestion, call the bank directly to avoid any problems.

I have received multiple calls from this number (identifying themselves as card member services)  as well as from a number 801-902-2429 (identifying themselves as Discover Card services.)  These are two different parties, calling from different numbers.  But they both ask to speak to a Michael Krepner, who does not live here and has never lived here.  (I have had this same phone number for 20 years)  I do not have a Discover Card.  I owe no balance on any of my credit cards.

These two numbers are obviously linked business (or scam) entities.  Just to let you know that they call from various numbers.

Got a call from Britney Reed with this call back number.  She said she is from US Bank. I noticed the posts here and got concerned. I called the US Bank number from my credit card statement and got confirmation that this is a legitimate number and that Britney is an employee at US Bank.

I have been going back and forth with this number which was given to me at the time I was having trouble making a payment that was due. I spoke with a rep  who in between conversations asked me information in regards to my checking account. After the conversation a week later they went into my checking account and withdrew monies that they said i had agreed to pay, which during the previous week I had made a payment. They called it a hardship plan which i never authorized and that they were to take out of my account $12.00 in following months. After numerous calls to reverse this charge , four days later i end up paying  a large amount of overdrawn charges to US bank since these creditors transmitted a generated check that was cashed with a low balance in my account.Why the bank let this go through is to accumulate O/D fees. These people are scam artist and rude. When you call to try to fix the problem, you are already in collections and the people are rude and you never know if you're speaking to a supervisor or not. One rep said she was a supervisor and when she couldn't fix the problem she transferred me to a real supervisor ( I think). I am very much pissed off at these people and US Bank, and yes they do record your converstion however if they play back to you, they skip over the main parts. Let me tell you, I have never dealt with people who are rude and just want your money. The bank could not help us since they consider they're bank card separate from this company. Ha!

i got a call from this number but didn't give the lady my info.
instead i just called the number listed at usbank.com (800-285-8585) and the man there confirmed that 800-676-4060 is indeed US Bank collections. He also verified with me that i was correct not to give the lady my information (name, last four of social, etc) and just to call US Bank.

Have received over 20 calls from this number. It appears to be US Bank Visa Collection. They call late in the evening, Saturdays, Sundays. We have talked to this company on numerous occasions and explained that as soon as our income returns from loss of business , we will start trying to pay the credit card. They reduced our credit limit BELOW WHAT WE OWE AND ARE NOW CHARGING OVER THE LIMIT FEES. When we discussed this with them they basically told us tough!  When we discussed calling several times a day the lady said they would continue calling until the account was paid in full. They asked if we had 401 to take from, family members to borrow from, sale house,....you name it. I said since Congress passed a consumer credit law and waited 9 months to implement it all of our creditors have raised our interest rates to around 30% and if they wanted to put the rates at something reasonable where we had a chance to make it we would. Otherwise they are forcing into bankruptcy.  These companies simply specialize in doing dishonest collections and as the bible says " Lenders are evil". Wished we would have listened to Gods Word way back and not got credit cards!  No doubt the Bible was correct on Banks.

There are a few people saying that this number is legit, and I have to say that I definitely have my doubts.  I just received a call from this number about 20 minutes ago today--a Sunday.  Looked it up on Google, and found this discussion.  So, I checked my US Bank accounts online, and I'm not overdue for a payment, in fact my payment is not due for 3 more weeks.  I called the number back, and as someone else already mentioned, it asked for my credit card number or to pay over the phone by check.  I did neither.  Finally the automated service said it would transfer me to somebody, but then said they were only open from Mon-Thurs, then Fri-Sat.  No Sundays--so why did I JUST receive this call on a Sunday?  I highly doubt this number is legitimate.  My advice if you receive a call from this number:  Definitely DO NOT give out any info.  Call Us Bank yourself or go online and check your accounts and make sure everything is in order.

US Bank was calling because they made an error on my credit card account.  Although rude, they fixed the problem when I sent them a nasty letter.  Shame that they don't care about their customers.

They've been calling at least two or three times a day for the past week. I finally decided to pick up and they asked to speak to me (mispronouncing my name as others in this thread have mentioned.) I said it wasn't me but asked to take a message. They replied "There is no message at this time" and asked when they could call back so I hung up.

Like everyone else I received an automated call stating that I needed to return a call to 800-676-4060 claiming to be from Card Member Services and/or US Bank for an urgent matter regarding my account.  I actually called the number for US Bank as listed on their web site instead.  They stated the call from 800-676-4060 is a fraudulant call.

PEOPLE... THE NUMBER IS REAL, SO IF THEY ARE CALLING IT'S BECAUSE U DIDN'T PAY UR S*** ON TIME PLEASE JUST MAN UP, AND JUST PAY UR DAMN BILL!

Caller said they were with card member services.  I asked for what card.  They demanded I give them my credit card #.  I told her that I thought she was full of $h!t.  She hung up on me.  

I later found out that this may be a scam that is run out of Canada.  They try to obtain your info and then use it for ID theft.

Call 10+ times a day but never leave a message.

I've been getting calls from this number. Google brought me here. I didn't return the call, but using the info here I checked my US Bank credit card and my auto payments were a day late for the past two statements. Stupid mistake, and now corrected, but does one day late really constitute these harassing calls? I'm transferring my balance away from this card. Bye Bye US Bank. I'll call and complain too, I'm no deadbeat and don't appreciate being treated like one. I suggest you do the same.

AND... I you get these calls and do not have an account with US Bank or Elan financial services, you better check you credit report to make sure you're not the victim if ID theft!

Receive calls from this number 5 to 6 times a day. I answer and hang up. If I do not answer, caller does not leave a message. I called to today and spoke with someone by the name of Kevin from Credit Member Services and asked him to take me of his calling list. Kevin stated they are not solicitors and asked for my first and last name and I hung up.

Credit card collector - answer and tell them no one is there by that name and they'll take your number off their list.

same as all of the above - I am reporting to BBB. They had all our information.  Last four digits with our street address and wanted us to pay by check over the phone.  We refused.  There was no harrassment, but when we called the # on the bill for cardmember services they said they do not call people after they are 4 days late with their payment.
