Got this robo call at my place of employment from Rick Morgan claiming this was my "last courtesy call" to lower my credit card payments.  It's a robo call made to sound more personal and less "scripted".  Left the number 800-676-9314 to call back.  Naturally I'm not calling back....I'm sure it's a scam. Remember people, if a company is calling you offering to help lower your payments, and they ask for MONEY to do this....it's a scam!

Rick Morgan's message has so many of the elements of a sales call it is almost funny.  I fortunately paid off all of my credit cards a year ago; he is simply fishing for someone in trouble.  No bites here, Rick - take your pole to another pond!

I block my number, then call repeatedly and play annoying music. It costs them money for each call.

Caller said he was "returning my call" and "sorry it's taken so long to get back to you". Well I never did call him. He said he could tell I was making "minimum payments on my credit cards" while I do have credit cards, I do not pay the minimum balance on them, I always pay more than the minimum payment due.

He said to call him back b/c that was his last "courtesy call". The number he left was 800-676-9314.

I wish I could get some compensation from this guy for his lies, and deception.

Same deal here.  Rick Morgan "returned my call and apologized because it took so long.  he had a new program that had just come across his desk that could lower my interest rate to 1.9% and cut my credit card payments in half.  He also 'saw' that I was making jsut the minimum payments on them right now.  This was my last courtesy call so don't hesitate to call...

What a load of bull.  My credit cards are paid off.  I never called him.  Nothing but a scam.  Phishing for info and suckers.  His real number came back as 314-863-4706.  I would love to call just to mess with him but this is my work number so I am resisting.

Called the  number left, simply said "Take me off your calling list" and they asked for my number. I gave it to them. No more calls yet. (I said it very abruptly and rudely... So they know I mean business -rolls eyes-)

I got the same call and message.  He called me from 573-431-8991.

Is there a way to stop this a**hole from calling people? I didn't pick up my phone and he left the exact same message you all are talking about.

Just received this same call from "Rick" on my cell phone. I called the 800 676 9314 number given from a land line and a woman answered. I asked for "Rick" and was told he was not available. I told her I thought he had reached a wrong number and wanted to verify who he was trying to reach. She said it was a courtesy call for debt relief services. I asked her if they were making random calls and she hung up on me.

Rick Morgan called my Wife's cell. The first part of his call was cut off but the last part matched the other reports of his call Modus Operandi.

The number this person or machine called from was 573-796-2173. Since the numbers called from are changing I imagine this person is buying disposable cell phones and using their number until the time is up on them and the going to a new one. When I googled 573-796-2173 there was a long list of people who had been called by this number recently.

Got a call from a guy named Rick trying to offer me lower credit card rates. Let it go to voice mail because i didn't recognize the number. He left a call back number of 1-800-677-9314. I didn't bother calling back because i knew it was a scam right off the bat.

"Hey guys this is Rick Morgan, sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you we've been really busy with this new program we've got here.  But i'm look here at your credit history and noticed you're only making minimum payments and we would like to help you get those cut in half.  This is our last courtesy call so give me a call back at 1-800-676-9314."

I received the same call today and was concerned that a guy named Rick Morgan was peeping into my credit reports.  My carrier is Boost Mobile (owned by Sprint Nextel).  I guess it's time to switch carriers now if Boost is giving my number out! The service reeks anyway.

He called my cell. Wonder how this joker got our numbers. I rarely give out my cell number to anyone besides family/friends. Four companies that do have my cell number are T-Mobile, AT&T, UFCU-Austin, and USAA.

I received a voice mail on my work cell phone from "rick morgan."  Said being I only make minimum payments on my debts (not true)that I might be interested in his offer.  Number he left was 800-676-9314. I am a law enforcement officer and the number he called was my work cell phone. I called the number back to see why they called my work cell number plus to see what company they were calling from. Any company I do business with would call my personal telephone numbers. Lady answered the telephone (debt relief center).  I have never done business with a debt service nor am I interested in doing so. I asked for Rick Morgan and I was told he was not available but she could help me. I explained that I did not want these type of calls on my work cell number she said that they must have called it by mistake. She agreed to remove my number from their system. I believe that "Rick Morgan" does not exist and they are using a recorded message when they call our telephone numbers.

Yep, same as all above.  Called my direct dial number that is not listed outside of the company ops, caller ID said Gary D, which I do not know so I let it go to vms.  Must be smilin and dialin....dialin for dollars!

That is what I was going to do.  I will also be contacting Sprint because the lady said she obtained my # from them.  Sprint must sell the information.  SO sad

I got the same call just now.  I called them back and I found out if you have a sprint phone they can obtain your # from sprint.  The clam they are a business who can help you lower you interest rate on your card.  I think it is a scam.  Do Not give them you credit card #.

Ditto to all the above.The call came in as 573-796-2173. when I listened to the message they gave the call back # as 1-800-676-9314. I didn't call back. I figured it must be a phishing scam and they wanted to capture info. What I do is save the number in my directory as "DO NOT ANSWER" so it identifies it as a B.S. call because I know they"ll be calling again.
