National Federation of the Blind. Called to verify pick-up times for charitable donations at the door. This number must have been recycled a number of times.

I have been receiving calls every day from this number for about 1 month.   Don't know who this is.  They don't leave a message or anything.  I have stopped answering phone.  

Standard Pacific Homes asking me to bring an unwrapped toy for holiday donation. Solicitation. Have not done business with Standard Pacific Homes.

Called at 2:06pm on 7 Nov 2013.  I don't answer 1-800 calls anymore.

Received this call on 11/10 at 4:08PM.  Caller ID = Unavailable.  No message left.  I have no idea what it is, nor will I since I don't answer calls from scammers.

This call is connected to an "unknown, out of area"  call that I get frequently

I got a message from this number advertising the Huntington Theatre Co in Boston. Usually the Theatre calls from a different number - weird that they used this...

Superior Disposal Service calling to tell me that my bill will be due soon.

Just got a call - recorded message from Pittsburgh Civic Light Orchestra reminding me I have tickets for next week's performance of the Lion King.  Legit call.  10:08am

got a call from this number, didn't answer and got an automated voice message from Standard Pacific homes.

This is a recorded message from ValueLine Investment service making a buy/sell recommendation for a particular stock.  I subscribe to their service and get several of these calls a month.

The main company name is Database Systems Corp.  Generally, they harvest your phone number and sell to their client.  

And if you happen to use one of their client businesses...then they also harvest your phone number by that means.  

That is how they make their money.

Even though the company said they will remove your phone number by dialing their given numbers.  The chances are - they will not.

Keeping your phone in their system will increase their profit.  Why would they want to remove your phone from their system?  

The company said to press 1 the button to not received further message and to remove your phone number from their system.  

By calling back that number and pressing the option of selecting not to be called.  And be on their do not call list.

Some people also go to their main website. Which asked for the phone number through their company fill out form of which number not to call.  

I enter my phone number and the selection of not to be contacted. On the phone and on the website.

Behold... they still keep on calling me for more than 8 month on my cell phone and will not stop.

They are well aware that.  That is how they make profit.

They are very reluctant to remove people phone or else they will lose money.  They also will
sometime leave no message on your phone when they  keep on dial you with the same caller ID number.

Got a call from this number saying press 1 for an emergency message and then it disconnected.

Crazy number that is starting to irritate me. Im always at work so I dont answer but annoying nonetheless.

I dont get much reception at work so it went straight to voicemail, thankfully, and I will delete immediately after seeing it on this site! Crazy.

Update:  They left a message.  It was the manager of the Texaco Lube Station I visited yesterday.  Apparently this number is by a company that has been hire to make follow up calls for businesses.

It's a profit or non profit organization. If you call back you can press 1 or 2 to be removed from the list.

Didn't answer the phone. The caller left a voicemail saying that it was the Chicago Symphony Center and reminded me to buy tickets for the upcoming concert season. I had attended a concert there earlier this year. I am certain this is how my number was given to this calling service.
All of these comments would lead me to believe this number is a calling service that multiple businesses utilize, not one business.

Received a call on my cell from this number -- wish they would have left a message, it would have been fun to see who was advertising what!

I received an automated message 07/18/2012 about discounted theater tickets in Milwaukee.  Obviously, this number is made available to various companies over time.  they left a message

Bogus caller ID shows up as "DSCDONOT CALL L" with the number "8006790847" .
Some kind of bogus telemarketing scam.

Didn't answer because I did not recognize the number; message left on my voicemail.

Water Tower Theater in Addison, TX reminding me about renewing my season ticket subscription.

Legit enough; my subscription is ready to be renewed.

5th Ave Theatre in Seattle, WA advertising a show.

Got a missed call notification on my cell from this number - no message. Too bad, looks I could have had some fun. What's really hilarious is that I work with a guy named Chad Johnson who is into fantasy football. You know he's not going to live this one down.

The message was from Smart Note and actually concerned me with what they had to say.  When I put in the number they left for me to call, I googled that number which is actually Smart Note ... it's a company that works with automobile dealers and setting up payments on a bi-weekly payment plan to help pay off your car quicker.  We did that recently and they were letting us know we were enrolled.  The dealership didn't tell me it was called Smart Note ... in our case, it is a legit call.

Got called about 2PM. I have season tix to 5th Avenue, must have been them calling. Called back and the auto-answer system asked me if I want to remove myself from their calling list. I pressed 1 and removed myself. Best auto-answer thing ever! Thanks 5th Avenue

It must be a service that various companies use. My message was legit - about an upcoming musical production at local 5th Ave Theatre. Basically a sales call - I have been a customer there in past.
