These people call me constantly, at all times of the day while I am at work.  They are very rude and sometimes on the caller id it comes up unknown.  Sorry, I don't answer those, but if I do, they are very impolite and refuse to answer anymore calls from them.

Heavily accented voice asking for (I think) my youngest son's best friend who lived with us for about six months over two years ago. The caller mangled the name so badly I'm still not sure that's who he wanted, and he was vague to the extreme about the reason he called. The friend who stayed with us was 17 at the time and know he had serious problems with his family. Apparently he has used us as a reference and we now get several calls a day wanting to know when he's going to pay his bills. This kid never had a chance and I feel sorry for him, but am getting sick of the calls. According to posts on other sites, this is usually an automated call, but we a human speaking, although I have no idea from where. Incredibly hard-to-understand accent.

I keep getting phone calls for my ex-husband (we just got divorced a month ago).  Told me that he's apparently in hiding & that he never updated his records.  Well, he DID.  He changed his mailing address over a month ago and these people said that when mail from them get forwarded, they receive it back, it doesn't move on to the new address.  I told them that was funny because I haven't gotten ONE piece of mail for him since he changed his address.  Then they decided to make a personal attack on him and said that I should be suspicious of him going into hiding.  HELLO, I talked to him yesterday!  These people are disgusting.  If my husband had any financial issues, I would have known, plus my own name would be associated with his debt.  These calls started coming in before our divorce was final and we share an account still.  DISGUSTING.  ELLESSE & LSI COLLECTIONS is what shows up on my ID with a message that says to call David Meyers back.  RIIIIIIIIGHT.

Got a call this morning from 800-690-4622 @ 9:53am Pacific.  Don't recognize number.  Just pick up and hang up.  Don't know, don't care, don't bother me.

OSI, the 2nd largest debt collection agency in the country had recently filed for bankruptcy protection. They couldn't pay their bills, but want you to send them your money!  Talk about poetic justice and irony!!  I hope the other debt collector/predatory scum gave the OSI owners the same harassment that OSI and their band of collectors have subjected the American consumer to.  OSI began closing their branch offices and may not survive. As with all large agencies, they have GREAT difficulty in complying with FDCPA and FCRA requirements. The problem with them is credibility. You can NOT take what they say or report as accurate. They MUST be held accountable for their reporting and collection activities.
