This number has been calling my wife nonstop. They also sent a bill that has the real address and phone number of VS except the account information was wrong. If she had payed it, VS would have had to return it to the account that was on the bill scamming my wife out of $500. This one is a tricky scam just make sure that you check your online account or if you don't have one, make sure you go into the store to check and pay your balance.

This is a call from World Financial Bank, who manages Victoria Secret credit cards (possibly some other). I do agree the way they handle calls can come across susect, BUT if you get repeated phone calls from them, and then log on to your CC account and pay your bill the calls will stop-I NEVER pay on the phone with them, but get their message, say to myself "Oh s***, I missed my VS CC pay this month, go online and pay it-and the calls go away. Look on your statements-World Financial is the bank listed as managing your VS CC account. The reason some people are receiving calls at old numbers is they go by the number you used when you applied however long ago that was. This is not a scam or a collection agency-just a reminder to pay your bill!

I have been receiving these automated messages from them stating that I "have important information from World Financial Networking Bank regarding Victoria Secret" Only problem is I do not have an account with them, nor have I ever bought anything from VS.  Funny thing is, right before I started getting these calls I visited the VS website, whom somehow got all of my information, started sending me unwanted catalogs and apparently has filtered my information to WFNB. I have not tried calling the bank yet and quit honestly, after reading what others are saying, I'm a little scared to do so.

I called the customer service phone number for Victoria's Secret that I got online. I called VS to make sure someone was not fraudulently using my identification. Someone does owe VS money and used by phone number in his contact info. The representative took my phone number off of the gentleman's account and did not find that I had an account.

It's from your Victoria Secret credit card. It means you haven't made your payment for the month. If you don't feel comfortable giving your information out over the phone, just go online and make a payment and the calls will stop. Not a scam!

So I get a phone call every day nearly from a blocked number leaving a message stating that they are from Victoria Secret and to call them back at this number 1-800-695-7020. I just got my phone number and I don't have an account so after a month + of getting these messages I took it upon myself to call the number to let them know that the person they are trying to reach does not belong to my number and to please stop calling me.

The phone number leads to an automated promt that sounds much like the actual Victoria Secret number (I called to report the activity to the number on the VS website).

You can't bypass the automated phone promts. Your options 1) to put in your account number or 2) enter your social security number.

I put in a fake social security # to bypass and talk to an operator...

The woman who answered refused to remove my number from the call list because I refused to provide her with my name and social security number. I told her that it was rediculous that she needed that information and asked to speak to the superviser. The call was then dropped. No surprise.

I called back again, it was the same lady. I asked her to please spell her name and give me her operator number. She hung up.

Called back a third time. The woman changed her voice and tried to sound like a man saying "This is (Name) accounts manager... thank you for holding."

I told the "guy" are you joking and asked them a series of questions that left the woman forgetting and revealing her "original" voice. I told them that I would report their number.

You should do the same.
1) Contact your phone company and make them aware.

2) Put your phone number on the Do Not Call list 1-888-382-1222. If you still get calls from "Victoria Secret" you know it's a scam. (Which this number you are asked to call back most certainly is).

3) Contact the Federal Trade Commission 877-382-4357 and report any information you may have.

Also, some phone companies offer a call trace option.
I got tired of the getting all the phone messages on my voice mail I let it get full, but this hasn't stopped the caller with this message from calling me starting 8am. *69 didn't work to identify the # because the phone number is blocked. Ask your phone carrier for the call trace command.

*57 for some phone carriers works it traces the orgin of the number (if possible) and reports it to the phone company and law enforcement.

Next time you get a call from these peeps *57 the call and report them!

I gave my number to these people so hopefully I will stop getting a call from them!! At the same time, I hope they can't find any other information from my phone number.

Btw - you may or may not know that google keeps a phone book. Try typing your phone number into a google search. You may be surprised to find your name and address attached to your phone number and revealed. You can request that google remove this information. If your phone # is published with your address in the white pages, it most likey is posted on the internet.

After getting these annoying recorded calls I figured I would give then a call back.

I was actually able to get through to someone after entering the wrong soc and last 4 digits of my phone number. (Pressing 0 gets you nowhere) When the rep got on and asked for my account #, I said "we're bypassing right to the phone number" ...gave her the number and explained to her I don't have an account to please stop calling me.

She looked it up and asked if I was Lisa and I told her no.. I just got the number, it was cell and every time they call me it wastes minutes..I was very "matter of fact" with her.

She was actually nice about it...I may have been a bit stern but I didn't want the bs anymore.
Just be assertive. If anything, call back at another time and hope to get a nice person who's more receptive to helping you.

I got a call today on my answering machine.  As others it said it was concerning VIctoria Secrets - I don't have an account with them.  When I called back I got the World Bank recording to enter my account number or social security number so quickly hung up.  Please for your own sake NEVER enter your SSN blindly.  This is identity theft waiting to happen.

I called this number back, they wanted SSAN, I hung up called victoria's secret, they connected me to the credit card department.....I hadn't used my account in a very long time and they closed it.  I told the guy that I wouldn't give my SSAN over the phone like that to an automated machine.

World Financial Bank handles all of Victoria Secret's online credit card payments, so if they're calling they can't give information to anyone besides the cardholders. It's not a scam or anything, it probably just means you're late on a bill or they need to get ahold of you for some reason, like there's suspicious behavior on your credit card through VS.

Got a call on my answering machine from World Financial Wold bank(??) about my Victoria's Secret account in an ( automated) woman's voice with a british accent to call 800 695-7020. Called the number and it was an automated system. Press 1 to enter my account#, or Press 2 enter and enter my 9 didget SSN. Are they serious that I would do that?? I hung up. Passing this on to the NY Attorney Generals Office.

i called the number and got the same automated voice message.  it claims my last 4 social numbers and this phone number matched up.
i haven't had a victoria's secret card in 10 years and had recently moved to this new phone number, so i knew there was no way these two things could have matched up.
i called ACTUAL victoria's secret credit card number, and low and behold the same automated message!
it doesn't give you the option to speak to an actual representative so i went through catalog orders and was manually switched to a customer rep.  after much rigmarole i was able to learn that this number was attached to another users account and the rep said she would enter the phone number as invalid.
i also asked if the 1800 number that had called before was valid and she said yes.
the shoddy service is just one more reason i won't have a card with them again.

Once I signed myself up for Online Statements on the Victoria's Secret site, but then forgot about it, so I missed a payment. I received a call by a REAL PERSON to ask me about my missed payment, no blocked number, and I had the option to pay over the phone or next statement or online. Totally legit. This call (from Blocked #) that had a recording, and asked me to dial 800-695-7020 caught me off guard because World Financial Network IS the underwriter for VS, but I know I am up to date with them. And any number you dial should take you straight to VS, not the underwriter.
And we all know, any requests for a SSN should be ignored.

This is for the Victoria Secret Credit Card. They only generally call when you don't pay your bill! So you might be behind on a payment!

it's the debt collection dept, i don't think it's a scam...i think they think that if you don't see their #, you'll pick up becuase they probably feel that if you missed a payment, last thing you want to do is answer a phone call from someone you owe money to.  But i do recommend that you all should call the Victoria secret phone # shown on the back of your card and ask them about this # 8006957020....

I just got a call from this #, though is showed up as 'blocked' on my caller ID. When I answered it was this British lady recording from WFNB (the victorias secret cc bank). I checked google before calling back and now know that I don't have to...

Just a heads up though, if you're shopping at victorias secret and you don't have your credit card with you, the sales assoc WILL ask you to write down your SSN as that is how they look up your account without the credit card #. This is nothing new and has been the procedure since I've owned a card from them (6+ years, and I never have my card with me).

So this might not actually be a scam, but nevertheless, be careful :p

Was the same called me and left number. I called back and they told me I owed 260 some dollars. I was glad I didn't get through then checked online. Not the 1st time this has happened to me with other weird numbers. Like others never the name of the company. Which kind of alerted me.

Like everybody else.  I ignored the call first.  Then I decided to google the phone number and found this website.  I thought this was a prank call at first, but I have a Victoria's Secret card.  So, I called VS directly, and find out I forgot to pay my payment last month.  So, this phone number is legit.

I received a call from them too, and first googled the number like everyone else. After reading the comments I went and called Victoria's Secret to report the call and it turned out I had forgotten to make a payment and that phone number is legitimate and is their collections office.

I just got a call from a restricted number. I answered it and it was a recording from "World Financial Bank" and said it was regarding Victoria's Secret (I have a credit card there). It instructed me to call back this 1-800-695-7020 immediately. I just got on Google and found this page.  Glad I'm smart enough to check things out first... =)
