This number needs to stop calling me!

These as**holes call me at least 12 times a day my phone is for emergencies only & since I'm disabled this is becoming a real hemorrhoid. How do I get rid of these jerks

i rode on other site that some people got said an other university name...

I have just been called by somebody who knew my full name and who said that I had requested info about an on-line university degree. I said I was not interested in on-line degrees. The guy said he would update the info in the data base and hung up. Very weird...

I just got their call and they told me I had visited and registered on their site for a business degree. But I have looked up alot of information about this number and it is a real university it's called Marideth University and it's in canada. I phoned them back 1 (800) 695-8680 and told them I have not registered with them nore have I seen their site! and they just told me they havent been calling alot and they will now delete my information and stop calling. I said thank you very much and they said I hope you have a great day.  they told me sometimes people put the wrong numbers down and other times they call the wrong number.. I told them that my friend has also had this number called to her and they said all you have to do is call the number back and pleasently tell them that your not interested and you want your information deleted~! hope this helps all you guys!!

One of the universities is called 'Meritus University'. It is an online university based in New Brunswick, Canada. I know because I was getting phone calls too (but I applied there).

The universities must outsource to a calling company to get information from the folks they call.

I got a call three times today about this number. 800-695-8680
So, I called it back and they said it was for a Meritage University. I told them that I dont recall requesting information, yet they had my full name and my address.
I explained for them to take me off their call list. She agreed and immediately hung up.
** I worked as a telemarketer and if you tell them to take your number off their list, they have to! If they call you again, you can call the police for verbal harassment.

I got this call too but i asked for it.  Its for an ad that i went through on monster.com.  

some of you may have just click the sure thing button or something i dunno.

I got a call but it was from Wiarton University...no such university. LOL

Yeah, I'm fairly sure how it works is they retrieve your information via the internet. I just got the call on my cell phone, and asked to be put on their internation do not call list. Had it not been for this website,  and the information you guys have provided someone could get seriously screwed over.

really annoying service, did callback on mute and recorded the call, always a different person on the line:

they have been calling me for days and today I decided to pick up. They said a weird name bla bla bla University, that I requested information, but I asked the name of the university again and again. The guy on the other side had an accent so I couldn't get it right. He said I requested information, he knew my name and surname, and I just told him that I don't know this university, so he said if I have any further concerns to call him back. I had no idea what he was talking about.

This number calls my cell phone about 5 times per day.  It is so annoying.  I have hung up each time, but will inform them to stop calling me the next time they call, and will see how that works.

they've been calling me for about 3 months now after i keep hanging up on them. recently i've been ready, once they call I play a sound clip of soldiers firing their weapons on fully automatic on my computer speakers. so when i answer the phone all they hear are loud gun firing, they end up hanging up after 10 seconds haha.

I just got the same phone call. The woman tried to convince me that I had requested information about "Merideth University" business program, which I had not. And the only way I managed to get her stop trying to persuade me was when I told her I was already happily in university and I have no interest in changing programs or going anywhere else.

Call was from a representative from an unfamiliar university.  She asked me what education I have, and then told me I am an excellent candidate for the school's business program.  She also said that I had requested information about their business program online, but I had not.  She was going to "introduce" me to a man who would provide further details about the program, (even after I told her I had not requested the information in the first place).  At that point, she put me on hold, and I hung up.
