This number calls repeatedly. Sometimes twice a day. They do not leave a message. Nor is there anyone on the line when I answered.

They are calling my 9 year old son's phone and I'm a size 8 and on the DNC, we in NO way registered with them (nor shop there!)
I am reporting them.

Yea, it was Lane Bryant. I haven't had any dealings with them for years. I did write a letter to the president of the company about three years ago when they discontinued my favorite bra. I also told him that as an older business woman their clothes were too revealing and just not professional. Besides they hardly ever had anything that fit me. I am too small for them and just a little too big for regular sizes. A tween? I never gave them permission to call me so DNC complaint it goes.

I have opted out of their prerecorded messages several months ago when I received a new phone and number. Their calls ceased for a few months but now they are back to calling me. They never truly remove your number! Reported to the Do not Call Site.
Kris 2012-05-23 20:53:33 Unknown
Just a promotional call from Lane Bryant. They usually leave me a pre recorded message about sales and such.

not a scam in any way whatsoever. it is indeed Lane Bryant and theyve been using this number at least 3 years now. its an automated reminder for a sale weekend/event
Ralph 2012-03-29 17:08:39 Unknown
So, what you all are saying, it's Lane Bryant? I'm not sure. Can a 50th person verify this?
whatyagonnado 2011-10-19 18:11:08 Unknown
It is an automated message from Lane Bryant calling to advertise a sale. If you answer when they call they give you the option to discontinue these calls. Or it will give you an 800 number to call to discontinue. Hope this helps everyone else that gets the calls, all the time.

Advertising call was placed to a number that is in the National Do Not Call registry.

F.C.C. is full of republican filthy dick suckers!!! they refuse to enforce the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST, and this is a bunch of bu***hit!!!!!
Angry Consumer 2011-06-06 20:58:16 Unknown
Advertising call from Lane Bryant letting me know they are having a 30-40% sale. Unfortunately, I am an obese MAN, so I will not be shopping their store unless I begin crossdressing. Plus, I am on the do not call list.

I'm SICK of these scum sucking pigs calling all day and evening! I could SCREAM!!!

It's Lane Bryant, they just contact you with a pre-recorded message about in store sales and promotions... no conspiracy here. And sometimes it an actual person seeing if you got the coupon check n the mail. Sales and marketing not people steal your $$ or identity on this one.

I just got this call and it was Lane Bryant with a promotion. I let it go to voice mail.
buffalo 2008-11-18 22:14:34 Unknown
Came home, had a "private caller" on caller id and a voicemail waiting. Voicemail said to call so-and-so at Lane Bryant, so I called. He then asked me my phone number, so I gave it to him. He looked up my account, then asked my address, so I gave it to him. Then asked for my date of birth. I said "Whoa...why do you need my date of birth? YOU called ME" he argued for about 5 minutes that they need further personal information before he could tell me what he was calling me about. He even asked me for the last 4 digits of my social insurance number. I refused to give it to him. Even if it wasn't a scam, I wasn't taking the chance because afterall he called me. He said he has information to tell me, but can't until he confirms that it's really me he's talking to. He then put me on hold and a supervisor came on, whom I did not find professional at all. He continued to argue with me, saying they require further info. I asked him to send me a letter in the mail about it. He said they already have. I told him no they haven't because I haven't received anything. There is no way they could've been calling about a late bill or anything because I just signed up and got an account with them a month ago. He continue to argue and argue until finally I hung up. I really hope if it is Lane Bryant, they aren't this hard to deal with because that store is the first one I've found that I love their clothes.

800-696-9107 was from Lane Bryant with a message saying they are having a friends and family sale of 25% off this weekend so come into the store and shop. that was it... I don't have a lane bryant charge card but I do shop there and on their mailing list. just a new and probably cheaper way of reaching out
Dan 2008-05-30 00:08:42 Unknown
This house has been getting calls two to three times a day from callers claiming to be Layne Bryant personnel. They want to speak to my wife, who owns the card, but is not hear. I tell them that I pay the bills, I know I missed a payment, but haven now sent it in as I make the payments. That was not good for them. I told them to call back in two months to be able to talk to her. I also asked them to stop calling, but they continue. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they hung up. What am I to do?

Call came in to a neighboring cube at work... a vacated cube, and the former employee was male, not female! I answered the call, and it was an automated sales announcement as others have also said, but I do suspect a scam, and here's why:
The option to opt out is very convoluted. From the first announcement, you can press an option to opt out, which brings you to a second menu. You have to listen to the second menu in its entirety to get the option, again, to opt out. Pressing this option brought me to another statement of why this call came in, and I had to press another key to confirm I wanted to opt out. Pressing that key prompted me to enter my phone number to opt out!!
Why would I have to enter the phone number to opt out of a system that called my number?!?!
Of course I didn't enter the number, because I highly doubt this former employee had a Lane Bryant account, and I doubt he would have given his desk phone anyway since he uses his cell phone for everything.
If it is "legitimate", then Lane Bryant has outsourced this service from another company that is doing its best to seem like a scammer.
Just my 2c...
OUCHTHATBURNS 2008-03-10 20:30:20 Unknown
this is Lane Bryant and they call existing customers to notify of sales
Unfortunately since people are existing customers listings in the do not call registry are meaningless as that does not apply to businesses with home your currently have a relationship.
janet robinson 2007-12-08 17:19:59 Unknown
on my callers list am on the do not call list, wish they would all stop!
JD 2007-12-07 22:20:08 Unknown
Merely an automated system that verifies for the true owner of the number they have "live one" for the LIST they will soon sell -- when it becomes fat enough. How do I know? (1.) I've got all my numbers on the Do Not Call list. (2.) Lane Bryant isn't a charitable organization that would be exempt from the Do Not Call list. (3.) The call came in on a dedicated fax line. If you call the number, that may be legally interpreted as an "opt in" response that will let someone call you without exposing them to liability, other than the fact they aren't Lane Bryant. But will you remember that later? DON"T CALL BACK!

We received a call from this number and it is legit. When calling it back it was Lane Bryant and actually gave an option to be removed from future notifications/ The phone message also matches Lane Bryant's surrent promotion.
