Can also confirm this was a legit Chevron Texaco Card related number. Had a bunch of fraudulent charges show up in one day on my card and they were contacting me regarding the charges.

I can confirm that this is in fact the Chevron/Texaco fraud prevention system through GE Money. They confirm the number, then ask you for your billing zip, then ask a few more questions before they confirm your recent transactions.
Usually happens if you havent used the card for a while, or are using it somewhere new or making a strange purchase. Once I verified the purchases that was it.
Did not ask for any real personal information. Only asked for the last 4 of the account number.

Got 3 calls from 800-700-7366 and no one answers, when my phone rings. I called this # and they ask for the last 4 digits of my credit card, and told me to wait for an cust. service that no one got on the line. Said that this is a fraud place.

This is the Ge Fraud department. They are legitimate. I called my Chevron credit card number on the back of the card and they transferred me to the fraud department. I had recently done some unusual activity on my account and they were verifying that it was legitimate. If you do not contact your credit card fraud department they will freeze your card and you will not be able to use the card until you verify the charges they are worried about. DON'T WORRY PEOPLE, IT IS A GOOD THING. I would still not answer the phone call but you do need to verify who it is calling if you want to continue using your Chevron/Texaco Credit card for gas!!!

Missed a couple calls from the number, then answered. It was an automated system claiming to be the fraud dept at the Chevron/Texaco credit card company and asked for personal verifying information.
I hung up, and called the number on the back of my card. Turns out they are associated with Chevron/Texaco's fraud department and were calling to verify potentially fraudulent activity.
I'd still verify through the credit card company before giving personal info if I were you, though!

Received the call just shortly after crossing the border into Abbotsford, British Columbia. No voice mail message left. I called the number as a missed call. Claimed to be security for my credit card company. Didn't say which card company. Asked for varification of my phone number, which was incorrect. After choosing option 2 that the number wasn't correct it asked me to enter the correct number. I hung up at this point.

Only static on line, when it goes to VM, then 60 sec +- later cuts off.
