Two employees hung up on me when I asked what FIA Card Services is.  How can I settle a debt if they will not evn communicate with me?

I SPOKE WITH A J SAWYER AT THIS PLACE AND HE IS AN A** HE SCREAMED SIFONE IN MY EAR AND HUNG UP TH PHONE I THINK HE IS RETARDED.

These people have been calling my Sister for me in another state. When we called them back to find out why they told us it was for a mattress that we bought. This did not sound right so asked John for the address to send a debt validity request and he would not give their address to my husband. He heard me talking in the background and told my husband to stop using a coach to talk to him. He then started to say things like, "Oh I bet that bed is so comfortable and you haven't even paid for it"  My husband said he would not deal with this person unless we had verified that this debt is correct. John hung up on him, and then they called back several more times yesterday.

Someone has been calling my number looking for someone else. They claim it is in reference to a job application. Keep telling them noone is here by that name.

Just received a call from this number.  They asked for a person with my last name but a different first name.  Are they phishing?  Are they legit?  Unless they tell me what it is regarding, I refuse to call back.  I am current on all bills, so do not know why debt collector would be calling at all.

i have been a collector since 1997.  i have never made idle threats to people and have worked very hard to make arrangements that will satisfy both the consumer and debt owner.  i have a job, i work between 50 and 70 hours a week.  i pay my bills.  why should i have to be accused of being a "scumbag" for doing my job?  you took out the debt, you pay the bill, it only makes sense.  if you dont pay it, it is not my fault.  people who dont pay their bills are "scumbags" not the people working hard to take care of their families. if you dont have the money..dont buy it!!!

I worked with a man in colorado who sued these people for harrasment. it is illegal for them to call your work, your neighbors... he not only no longer had to pay the bill, they had to pay him 6000.

They called me regarding some debt. I asked for proof of that debt and they said there was no time to get a letter out to me verifyin the debt-not even by email or fax as I suggested. So then I said we have nothin further to discuss, do we??? and hung up. They keep callin but I just pick up n hang up on them. Till they can prove otherwise that I actually owe the debt...they r not gettin any money...period. They just use scare tactics to scare people into payin and most of these "collection agencies" are scam artists! Well sorry to disappoint First Platinum but your not buyin ur steak and lobster dinner off me tonight!!! HA!!!

They called someone I barly know to find out where I worked and then tried to call my HR dept. to get my bank info so they could garnish wages.  When I tried to get more info about the account and such she just stated I needed to give them my debit info.  They said the represented a 'client' but refused to say who.  When I said I would look into my records to see if money was owed they stated I was out of time.  Pay up today or their client would take the money from me.  Very creeped out about them.

I just had my f-ing neighbors come and give a message. For a company calling themselves First Platinum. I was dealt with very rudely by a Tammy Smith and a Ryan. BOth hung up when I called them out for calling my neighbors and giving out personal info. Be EXTREMELY WARY as I'm pretty sure this is a scam.

maybe if these debt collectors would put their efforts to the politicians some things would change

I received a call from a Ms Carr at 1800-706-8982 Ext 26 on my answering machine trying to locate someone else. She left no Company name or address and demanded that someone that is not a member of my houshold contact them immediately. I looked up the name of the person and she is an elderly woman in Florida. I believe this company is preying on our nation's elderly and should be rounded up and shot. We as Americans have a right to protect our elderly citizens from such harrassment. They have already paid their dues and organizations like this, SCAM ARTIST, need to be taken care of in the Medieval Fashion.

A man calls daily requesting a "Kumar." I inform he that person does not own this phone, and demand to be taken off the calling list, to which he continuously demands to speak to Kumar.

I asked him his name, he gave Darrell and said he was with Platinum One. When I asked for more information about the company, he disconnected.

The number called from is always 866-599-4857.

An automatic response answers when you call this number, saying that this was a "business call," all representatives are busy, please stay on the line, and then it promptly disconnects.

I arrived home from work just in time for my neighbor (A creepy man who I worn my children to stay away from) to deliver a message to me from this number.

I am normally very calm when we get these calls. With the economy taking a dive, our credit is now shot and these calls are the majority. However, when I found out that these cretins called a neighbor and had them deliver a message via the man I don't want in my yard or looking at my children, I blew my top. Where in the hell do they get off calling neighbors and sending random people to your home and spreading your business about?

Mr. something or another (talks so fast it's a blur) called several times claiming that my wife has an "issue" she needs to address and stated that she needed to stop "blowing them off".  Regardless of whether or not this is a legitimate debt, there rudeness is unprofessional and uncalled for.  Even went so far as to mouth off at my mother in law.  This company needs to be put out of business and fast, before they attempt to destroy someone else's life over a few measly bucks that they can't even verify.  We're going to file complaints with the attorney general and the better business bureau as well as approaching their "mother" company, Elite Recovery Services, Inc.

This company has called me 3 times searching for someone else and trying to get information for someone else. They refer to themselves as "First Platinum". I have advised them that this has nothing to do with me and not to contact me again and they continue to do so. I filed a complaint with the FTC who advised that if I do not have an account with the agency they can only contact me ONE TIME and nothing further. I received calls from Lori Storm and Ms. Rose who are both incredibly rude, both hung up on me and ignored the fact that I keep telling them not call me anymore. The FTC advised me to write them a cease communication letter but I needed to contact them for the address. Of course I have called them 5 times to request this and they refuse to give me their address, they hang up on me, and they are accussing me of harrassing THEM because I am calling them for their information. This company is unprofessional, they harrass people who have nothing to do with them and their accounts, they have "investigators" searching for information of people who may know the clients they are looking for from what Ms. Rose told me, which is unbelievable and a complete invasion of privacy espacially if its not your account, and they are flat out annoying as hell!!
