Just received a fax from Laura Maxwell @ Gemini Supply Company, laura325i@gmail.com, requesting a quote for about $15,000 worth of equipment. Can't believe the scam is still working, or they wouldn't be faxing!

JUST GOT THE SAME REQUEST FROM LAURA MAXWELL - CO IS CARLYLE SUPPLY CO RESIDING IN US LOOKING TO PURCHASE TWO DIFFERENT GRUNDFOS SUBLERSIBLE PUMPS.

Just got a fax from the long lost Laura Maxwell.  Got to love their fax that states that they "reside in the United States."  Nobody inside of the US will send a fax for a quote and state that they do reside in the US.  She was looking for a quote on 2 different Grundfos Pumps.  She knows works for "Carlyle Supply Co." which was no where to be found on a google search.

Received fax requesting pricing and payment details for LCD TV's.

Just got a fax from Laura Maxwell from Devco SupplyCo. Residing in Canada etc etc. Looking to purchase 220V 3500W Power Inverters.

Weirdest part is that there isn't even the regular fax information on the paper. It's looks as if someone printed it from a computer.

Received a fax with no company letterhead from "Laura Maxwell" who is supposedly with Carlyle Supply Company.  Looking for pricing on a bunch of Grundfos water pumps. Had a return email address of laura325i@gmail.com.  Definitely a scam.

Recieved a Fax today from Laura Maxwell of Apollo Supply Co. Using the Laura325i@gmail.com address.

1) Red Flag # 1 - No Phone Number
2) Red Flag # 2 - No Company Letterhead of contact information other than the email address
3) Red Flag # 3 - Gmail account and no website for a company that supposedly does international purchasing
4) Red Flag #4 - Asking for High dollar microscopes to be shipped to Africa.

Fax went into the trash after posting this.

Got this "prank-fax" (different # but same e-mail contact) for video projectors, this was the message sent:

Hi,

My name is Laura Maxwell and my company is Gerlach Supply Co.I reside in Canada and I am looking into purchasing some Multimedia Projectors to be shipped directly to my client, therefore I want you to kindly give me a quote on the following:

NEC NP510W Multimedia Projector.

Sony VPLDX15 LCD Projector.

Epson PowerLite 1720 Multimedia Projector.

I would also like to know your methods of payment.

Received one of these across the fax today looking for 200 hacksaw blades. laura maxwell  same email as all the others. laura325i@gmail.com   SCAM

Her company now is Osborne Supply, LTD. A person at our store did one of these for water heaters 3-4 months ago, and was eager to make the sale. Only trouble, he was like our Laura Maxwell, just a ghost in the machine. I was really tempted to sell  them for a dollar to see what kind of response I would get back from them. Maybe I'll be like one of the other posts and tell her to F*!K OFF.

Update: This is a scam, When I pushed the person supposed to be Laura, whom will never call on the phone and speak with you. If it is all through Email there is a problem. I spoke with Mastercard Fraud department and they are onto this scam. Here is the response from our low Life Piece of S*** Scammers.

This was in my email yesterday after my original post. Sellers beware, after they have the product they can cancel the order with the credit card company and you can get stuck with the bill!!  

This is probably another African scam, hey we might get lucky, it might be President Obama's brother, you never know??!!

I researched this, because I had the same exact request on 10 June 2010. I received a mastercard number with expiration and CVV for a Laura Maxwell, with a Carson City, NV address. Except the address and name on the account do not match. Parts were going to Nigeria. Hello RED FLAG!! Looked up the address on Google maps and the address given is an Apartment complex, not a business address. This is a scam, they have the ability to fax a request in, but have no ability to call and speak with you, so either you are in a remote village in Africa with President Obama's brother trying to scam or Laura Maxwell does not exist in the legitimate sense.

i recieved a fax from a Laura Maxwell with a company called Magnum Supply LTD. searched that name and nothing not even a phone number came up. she was asking for a quote on 2 Grundfos pumps with control boxes. asking for a reply with prices and methods of payments  to laura325i@gmail.com. as i have read its nothing but a scam. thanks everyone for bringing light to this idiotic person.

Something must be awfully wrong here. I did a transaction with this same Laura and she actually deposited $5,500 in my company's account

I just received a fax from Laura Moses to quote on some Siemens Residential current circuit breakers (RCCBs) for her company  - NOW named Eagle Supply, Ltd.  Reply email address was also listed as:  laura325i@gmail.com. Claims her company is located in the USA, but needs product "to be shipped directly to my client."  Return fax number at the top of the page is 877-725-0942.

Our inbound faxed request came from 877-402-3805, but the same same song & dance request, from the same (ficticous) person.  That scares me is that this person found our comapny info and the exacting part numbers that were requested.

Just received a fax for quote on some circuit breakers from a company named Gleeson Supply Ltd.. The persons name is Laura. Claims they are located in the USA. Return fax number at the top of the page is 877-882-1117. They want us to reply back to email laura325i@gmail.com. This is a scam in my opinion.

I feel sorry for the people that got sucked in, & more importantly the person who owns the stolen credit card.

We received an email from this Laura Moses person claiming to be in Sydney Australia and her company name is Masons Supply Ltd, wanting to purchase Residual Current Circuti Breakers (RCCB) "to be shipped directly to my client."

Turns out the client is in Nigera, and when we advised we needed to be paid in advance via direct debit we got a request to buy a large quantity of these and to take a credit card payment via email.

It screams scam

I just sent a message to our Western Mass, and Connecticut regions about this type of fax. I will not be responding to her request.

Fax from Laura Moses, but this time the company is Cox Supply Ltd. Googled the name - nothing came up. This looked fishy to start with. I highly doubt that 'Matt' really did business with her and it was good. This looked fishy, and her grammar and atrocious. This is a scam for sure - stay away and do not respond.

Actually got a fax from this number and did business with her and it was good!
