I received a bogus telemarketing call disguised as "my credit card company" while on the do not call list. Man by the name "Chris Young" telling me it was "imperative" I call him back because my minimum payments would be going up. Claims he is from a company called "Multi Credit Solution". I will be reporting him to the FCC! I'm not sure which caller id was his since the call was on my answering machine.

Someone named Chris Young called.  He left the same message I've been getting a few of every day for awhile.  " I'm calling reguarding your credit card balance and the minimum payments that are going up.  It's imperative that you call me back.  You now qualify for the debt reduction allowance program......"  This is eactly the same line that each different caller says.  I've written to the government, but I don't think they do anything.

"This is Chris Young with Multi Credit Solutions at 1-800-709-8793.  I'm calling regarding your credit card balances and the minimum payments that are going up.  It is imperative that you give me a call back.  You now qualify for our debt reduction program.  Again, my name is Chris Young.  My phone number is 1-800-709-8793 and it is imperative that you give me a call."

I've received 5 calls during the past week from at least 4 different people - "Chris Young from Multi Credit Solutions", "Edwin Romero from Credit Develop. Corp.", "Wendy Park from ??? Data Incorporated" and today (4/28) a "Sally Moore from Data ???" all using different company names and 1-800 #'s, however, the message that they all leave is pretty much identical; saying that they are calling about the minimum credit card balances that are "going on" and that I am eligible for a "debt reduction allowance" program and that it is "IMPERATIVE "that I call them back. I went online trying to identify who these calls are coming from and found out that, evidently, I am not the only one receiving them.  It looks like Iike I will need to file a complaint too - I wonder what these people would do, if instead of calling them back and telling them to remove you from their calling list you told them that you were interested in their program - I'm sure they wouldn't hang up then.

Our son called us this weekend from Ramadi Iraq where he has been deployed for the past 6 months. Worried that some how someone had compromised his personal data and was running up credit card amounts in his name because some guy named Chris Young had left 6 messages on his cell phone saying it was imperative that he call 1-800-709-8793 about rising minimum payments. He left his cell with us and calls to check messages about once a month. Not enough that these guys have to worry about IEDs and snipers now they have to worry about jerks named Chris Young. If someone can locate this guy I?ll be happy to pay him a visit

Same type of calls from Chris Young and others:

800-709-8793
800-713-8059
800-713-4895
213-406-0027

I have registered a complaint with the Do Not Call list and with my attorney general.  I suggested all victims do the same.  The Do Not Call list says individual complaints are not investigated, but that the numbers are added to a database that is used in investigations.

Same person has called my house all week, leaving messages as a Chris Young, and that it is "PERATIVE" (how about proper English?) that I call about my credit problem.

I have complained about the number to the FCC.  You can do so, too, with this call, and any other calls by going to this website:

http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/donotcall/#howtocomplain.

You can also *57 to block the call.  It costs $1 if you don't subscribe to the service, but sometimes WELL worth avoiding the harassment.

Good luck.

A guy by the name of Chris Young calls everyday, even at night and leaves me a message that it is imperative that I call him back on 1-800-709-8793.  The number showed up on my caller ID as 213-406-0027. Called the number 1-800 number back and it just rang for about 5 t 10 minutes with no answering machine to pick up.  Dialed the 213 number, it will not ring and will automatically disconnect after about 5 to 10 seconds. I don't even have credit cards and this call is very annoying.  I work for the Federal Government and I will report it to my supervisor as a harassing phone call and since it is the Government, it can be traced.  I hope that Chris Young or whomever the scam artists are that are calling my GOVERNMENT phone, is reading this message because they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Chris Young left a message on my 89 year old mother's voice mail.  He said it was imperative for her to call as it involved her credit and costs to her.  This has had her very confused and upset.  This is shameless and needs to stop.

Same problem.  we've had the call twice.  I thought I'd call back and say,"Hi this is Christine Young calling about the minimum payments you've been making on your credit cards and it's IMPERAATIVE that you NOT phone me any longer."  Alas, my joke never worked because when I called, his voicemail box was full!!!!  Drats.

4/24 I got a call from "Chris Young" stating that it was "imperative" that I call him back concerning my credit balances. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, so I notified our state attorney general's office and filed a complaint. The attorney general's office is aware of the circulation of these calls.

I've gotten the same calls from "Chris Young," with the same results when calling back and asking to be taken off the list.  I too have no credit problems; I actually don't even have credit cards.  With that said, I have also received the same call from "Phillip Drake," using the same script.  I have gotten calls from the following numbers: 800.511.8460, 909.842.8124, 408.651.8160, 909.842.8166, 818.870.5032, and 562.288.7191.  The calls started in February of 2008 and have continued for months now.

I just got another call 4/23/08 from 218-339-3920 from a "Corey" same type of message but I had answered (thinking that it was someone else) so it put me through to a Paula. I told her to remove me and she hung up. I call back that same number and it says disconnected. I called back the other numbers from yesterday and I get through with the song playing then spoke to a David, Sandy, Wendy and a couple other names I couldn't catch. I said just harassing you like you do me. With a Michelle I said that then "Oh let me guess you are going to hang up on me" I could hear her laughing as she hung up.

So like other users, I called and tried to be removed from their list and got hung up on before I could finished talking.  I then called and acted like I was interested to see where that would take me.  I called from my office instead of home since we have a main number that shows up on caller ID's instead of my actual extension.  They kept putting me on hold and then coming back asking me to validate my home number and asking for alternate numbers.  They were "having problems" tranfering me to an agent as asked what number they could call me back at.  This went on for at least 10 minutes and then I got disconnected.  Short answer - there's no easy way to get around this.  It's frekaing annoying.
