(800) 554-5788 kept calling, once a week. I called back and was redirected to (8)) 712-5000, which is this "Rewards" scam.  Is there any way I can block my phone from receiving calls from either or both of these numbers???  Lou

I think this is a kind of telephone proxy server for hooking people up to regular things they'd use their credit card for and record them and rip them off. If you call 1 800 695 3304 in the day there's this thing that wan'ts your credit card for a wal mart gift card. at night it directs to this number.

I call around 1800 numbers all day and talk to different people and these are some of the interesting ones.

Phishing Scam!!!!

Number given by "Frank" from "UPS" who called asking for the superintendent's cell phone to a particular project. We do not give out the information so I offered to get a number from "Frank" and contact superintendent by two-way and have him call them right back. "Frank" threateded that the packaged was leaking and they had to send it straight down to "Dave Price" in their hazmat division. Gave 1-800-336-7281 as the phone number to contact number this gentleman. I called it and got a message saying that the number had changed and to call 800-712-5000. This
number claimed to be a reward center.

Phishing Scam!!!

These people some how charged my American express $29.95 and I've never heard of the.  What's worse is it was an online transaction on a monday and I have absolutely no internet connections on Monday whatsoever....Don't cash the check they'll probably review the cashed check to get your bank account number.  You should ask YOUR bank if the check is legit

I was trying to conduct business with a major insurance company as part of my normal job.  The phone hung up before I got a live person, and when I called back it was the uber-happy "Rewards Center" lady.  I hung up on her and tried the insurer again, whereupon I had the same hang-up happen.  This time when I called back it tried to redirect me to 800-712-5000.  I turned this over to my phone company and I'm about to turn it over to the insurance giant as well.  If they can't figure it out I'll be happy to talk to the FBI and see if they're interested in it.  I can't stand people who try to take advantage of others like this.

It is ran by a guy name Jack Sullivan, they are hiding under the face

vouchers... They have numerous complaints with the BBB in their area.

someone from 800-638-4742 has been calling my home several times a day and never leaves a message. I called the number and was told "that number could not be reached from your calling area" and to call 800-712-5000. I called and got the "rewards center" and was swiftly offered three companies services in succession including Verizon Fios and DishTV. It then hung up on me.

Tomorrow I am going to call these companies and tell them that due to their using a third party to harass me I will never do business with either of their companies. I am also planning on filing a complaint with the FCC as I am on the DNC list

I received a check for $100 sent by Fed Ex and after some searching on the envelope, I found a number. That number redirected me to call 800 712 5000, and I got the lady at the Rewards Center message and hung up. Still haven't figured out the check, or where it's from, or how it connects to everything, but the bank that the check was written from swears it's legit.

I was trying to call State Farm Bank from my cell phone, I instead got a recording stating that I couldn't make the phone call from my area, and was told to call 1-800-712-5000.  I did.  It was a "rewards center", I hung up before I could here anything else.  I reported it to both State Farm Bank and my cell phone company, neither knew anything about this 800 number.

I've been trying to dial a pager 888-number which has been in use since 1999.  Now each call to the number is intercepted by this message in a woman's voice:  "The number you have dialed cannot be reached from your calling area.  Please call 1-800-712-5000."  After several seconds it turns over to a ringing sound, but nothing picks up --- i.e., the pager computer never answers.

There's no way I can break through this wall.

Most recent today 3 calls from 800-977-8545... annoying b*****ds.  I'll tell you one thing, I see these type of charges coming off my card, they will be investigated and prosecuted under Federal law.

Hey! I had the same issue and I googled the number and found you guys. I researched the number,(888) 573-6168, a little more and found a link to a company called Grant Connect that I did debiting with a week or two before. My only problem now is the fact that I agreed to them taking $2.78 from my account but not another $2.78 along with $39.95 that has yet to be cleared. So, all together, they have taken $42.73 from my account without my consent. I called my bank and they basically told me to call them back and cancel my service with them during their business hours and also ask for a refund, too. That's probably what you guys have to do as well if you have the same problem. I'll update you as soon as I can.

I recently received several messages on my cell phone from a Larry Norton, some type of legal person.  He calls from 1-800-609-1044 x114.  When I call that number, it tells me that it will text new information regarding this number and will deduct minutes from my cell phone. It gave me the number 800-712-5000 to call. When I called that number, I get a recording saying that I have reached a rewards center. I am waiting for him to call me again to find out who he is and why he is calling.

I'm ashamed to say, I actually work for this company. I don't push magazine sales, but I do sell rebate vouchers. We have to read word for word from a script. I actually thought something was a bit fishy at this place when, in the first line of my script I say that I'm calling from an order verification department & that I'm call on behalf of "Aton Solutions" - but the business I work for & the name that's on the top corner of my paycheck is Reader's Choice.  I also mention that "we're" the makers of Acai Berry, Colon xR, Total Cleanse and White Tea with Acai. However, these calls are monitor  recorded so you can try using that to your advantage. I actually just called the 800 # given to customers in order to cancel and it was a recording saying that the number I was trying to reach is no longer in service and was given another number to call
(800) 712-5000, curious, I dialed the number & it was a recording of some super enthusiastic lady saying that I just called the Reward Center and if I pressed 2 on my telephone keypad then I would be directed. I will try my best to help you with what I can. The address & direct phone line for Reader's Choice is:
720 Aerovista Place Ste. D
San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
(805) 547-8610

I hope this information was Helpful! ())

Was calling Postal Prescription Service at 1-800-552-6694, was told the number was changed to 1-800-712-5000.  When I called the new number, I heard a recording that said "welcome to the reward center, chances are you've reached this in error" at which point I hung up.  Sure hope this doesn't result in charges as it has for other callers. When I looked up this number on the internet, there were people that had called this number and have had subsequent charges on their phone bill and further more whomever is using this number is calling back resulting in recurring charges.  I will contact my local phone company to attemgt to block this number from my phone. AHHHHHH!!!!

I noticed a purchase on my credit card that I did not recognize from "Dearborn".  I had never even heard of that company.  I called my credit card to inquire about the charge.  They gave me the phone number of the company (800-544-4384).  When I called a recording told me to press "star" to have new contact information texted to my phone.  I of course did not do that.  I called again and I was instructed to call 800-712-5000 which led me to the "rewards center".  I agree with Target; DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE OR GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFO!  It has con artist written all over it!
