More than likely you live in an apartment in a run-down area of a small town in New York State.  You also work out of someone's run-down house.  Basically you're a kitchen-table debt scammer.   You rarely make more than minimum wage,  have virtually no job skills,  and no real prospects for improvement.  You have limited education, but have no basic desire to improve yourself, despite the great public resources available to anyone who wants an education in New York.    It's unlikely you're married and you're probably in your twenties.  You drive an old beat-up car and use public transportation when you can.

As I say, your prospects in the debt scamming business are limited and growing even more limited as more and more people become aware of your scams.

Worse, you have to worry about being busted.

Anyway, that's the truth about most debt scammers I've researched.

Nice try Troll, but "NO Cigar"!
You seem to have forgotten where you're posting. The regulars here know more about the debt collection industry than you EVER will. We also know what bottom-feeding 3rd party & JDB collectors are paid. Your "very nice home" is on top of rusted out axles and is a hovel that my domestic staff wouldn't live in. You have several cars because they're on cinder blocks and can't be towed away. If you're income has "gone up 21% in three years" it means you're all the way up to 30k a year. Most of which you get under the table so you can keep getting your food stamps & welfare check.
You obviously work for an outfit that can't comply with the FDCPA. Which means...you're a minimum wage FRAUD! Are you proud of yourself?  If you have a son in his freshman year it's at a community college & he's now going to spend the next several years being pestered about his student loans. You're a joke!

I love being a bill collector. I have a very nice home. Several cars and I just paid my sons first year of tuition for his freshman year in college. All because the real bottom feeders are the ones who do not pay their bills and go on websites like this one and complain about people telling them to pay their bills. Thank god we have a president who is trying to destroy the economy because my income has gone up 21% over the last three years. GO BARRY!

Hey Inch High Private Eye.  You aren't too good at your job are you?  Well, you would have to be literate (hint: that means you can actually read and write).  See, there is one problem with you running you ill informed mouth with the holier than thou "pay your bills" routine --- folks have to actually owe a bill before they pay it.,

I understand this may seem foregoing to you but many of the people posting complaints don't owe money.  Then why should they pay?  Wait, because you tell them? SMH

Mrs. Brown teaches us how not to end skip trace calls from a debt collector. She's mistaken a discussion website for some kind of direct line, and doesn't see the potential call blocker whack-a-mole game coming.

To halt the misfired skip trace calls, YOU must take direct action, not complain blindly and wait for a rescue. My advice for "not me" cases is found here:

3 Questions for you....

1) Are all of your bills current ?
2) Can you prove that anyone actually owes the bill in question ?
3) If said company is so great, then why did you come here, to a complaint forum, to post your glowing review ?

In today's times is pretty easy to put two and two together.  Greenberg Grant and Richard as well as the "PI" they "hire" to come and "audit" you are owned operated out of the same address and owned by the same princples one being a Scott Swisher.

Yes, people should pay their bills but this company is operating illegally or right on the fringe.  Negotiate with the original creditor and never pay them a cent.

I also have been targeted by this scam. Tomorrow the "Private Investigator" is coming to a business I sold my nephew 6 months ago to do an "asset search" (1st red flag)

Private investigators do not let anyone know they are doing an asset search. Why? If you do an asset search before litigation, it tips the debtor to transfer assets into a family members name temporarily to avoid garnishment or attachment.

The caller said he was a private investigator (2nd red flag) I checked AZDPS licensing online under his name and company name. No registration or licensure. Opps. To impersonate a private Investigator in Arizona is a felony.

He should have done his homework before he called and set up an appointment ...because...the new owner (my nephew) and I are both licensed Private investigators in Arizona. I own Maverick Investigations and have for over 20 years.

So this is what is going to happen tomorrow.

Wait..you asked why I am putting this out on the web...and maybe tipping the guy off????? Because he will never read this until it is too late. He is coming at 8am in the morning. The only way he will read this is from jail.

anyway...tomorrow. We have two video cameras set up to record his contact with us tomorrow. A digital voice recorder and Arizona Dept of Public Safety is going to be on an open cell phone line listening in to this meeting. They are haveing the local PD standing by to come in and arrest the "PI" after he says enough to incriminate himself.

Sounds fun huh?

To all would be clients of Greenburg, Grant, and Richards. Read the posts and the history (repetitive).  Do your home work. Is this the kind of company you want to represent your collections? The canned replies to posts says a great deal about the attitude and ethical behaviors.

Yes, everyone should pay their bills. Some people have real problems. Not everyone is a deadbeat...

I was an employee at Greenberg Grant and Richards in 2011. Here some facts about this agency.

They have about 60 employees. Large for collection agency standards. Collectors are instructed to act and talk like attorneys. They are told to make the debtor company  believe they are attorneys but never say you are one.

When an investigator calls you it's always the same guy who is actually calling from GG & R's office. Unless it's a huge debt they will never send anyone in person. The so called investigator is a guy who makes these calls all day and is an employee. He says pretty much the same thing to everyone. It is used as a scare tactic.

Most of the collectors there have a maximum of 4 months employed by them. After being trained to practice these unethical collection procedures they will fire an employee after the first complaint.

They collect from Yellow Page Directory scams. They partner up with Attorneys to collect these accounts. Employees are instructed to say they are calling from The Law Office not GG & R . This keeps them from having complaints tarnish they're reputation. These Law offices include The French Law Group. And a friend who still works there told me they are now with The Law Office of James A. West. The companies they collect from have filled out what they thought was a correction form for the new Yellow Page ad they have placed. A month later they get a call and informed they owe 350.00 to an online directory they never heard of.

They also collect for other scams. A couple of companies they work for purposely offer bad service so people cancel with them. After they have GG & R go after them for breech of contact.

This was my only exposure to the collection industry. It was a bad experience and I'm glad it's behind me.

This is a hyper aggressive collection agency  based out of Texas claiming they are going to do an "asset investigation" at one of the company's stores.  I followed up with a call telling them that this needed to be pursued through legal channels as they had no right to come onto our store and attempt some type of "asset investigation".  I informed them that anyone from their collection agency attempting to intimidate our employees or do any sort of fraudulent investigation would be subject to arrest for trespass.  The response was that I was not going to tell him what he could or could not do.  Hope they show up so we can get the police involved.
