Constanly calling each and every day wiithout a message. STOP IT PLEASE!!!!!
I receive numerous calls throughout the day from this number. I would appreciate if someone would either leave me a message why I am receiving the call or stop calling me.
I dont have any loans or accounts with M&T, yet they have called me repeatedly over the last few months asking for an individual I have no affiliation with. I've informed them numerous times that they are calling the wrong number but they continue to call. Even yesterday (1/23/14), I finally told them to take my number out their system & they had the nerve to call me the very next day!!!! My next move is file a complaint with the FTC and/or BBB.
1-800-724-2525 is M&T's Home Equity early stage collections dept.
They have called y house numerous times and have yet to leave a message. Now today they call my work phone and finally leave a message that it is very important that I call them. OK. I have a truck loan through them that is up to date and nearly paid off so, what is so important that M&T collections is calling? Will be interesting to hear what the deal is.
annoyed phone owner...
When I answer this they claim to be from m&t bank, provide no identifying info and then demand I verify my personal info. Um sorry??? YOU called ME. I didn't want to verify without being sure and I said I'm sorry but what is this in regards to? And the girl on the other end got real snippy and nasty with me
We get calls from 800-724-2525 several (5-6) times a day. When we answer the phone, there is never anyone there, there is silence for about 25 second then it disconnects to a dial tone.
There have been reports that this number belongs to M&T Bank, of which I am a customer but they deny calling me using this number.
We registered our telephone numbers on the National Do Not Call list (we have reaffirmed our numbers repeatedly) but this toll free number (800-724-2525) continues to get through.
Please block this number from gaining access to (845) 626-7964, thank you....
I do not have an installment loan with M&T and they still call. Why?
This is not M&T Bank.
This number calls frequently and never leaves a message
I called them back. I do not have an account with them. Told them I am on the Do Not Call List and the woman said she has nothing to do with that. Took my numbers off their list. Terrible Company. Just found out that these telemarketers sell your number to other telemarketers. You can request that they check the Do Not Call Box on their computers.
They will call repeatedly if you are in your grace period. They did this to my husband yesterday (while he was at work) and when he told them that we would pay them today (which I did) and to please stop calling, the woman on the phone told him that the only way that they will stop is if we send them a letter in the mail ... not email, not over the phone, but through the postal service. I've also had a problem with them because they had the wrong SSN on the account. How did they screw up something that major? Again, when I needed them to fix that so I could set up online bill pay, they said that I would have to send a copy of my husband's social security card through the mail. Um, I don't think so! I hate this bank! M&T bank ... just say the letters aloud and it comes out "empty" bank. Everything about this bank seems fishy.
I have a loan with them, they call even when my payment is on time. Then they like to attach late fees. I would never do business with them again.
I think it's a scam. They are asking with a machine for me to enter the first 5 digits of my social. NO WAY.
Been getting daily calls as well. today it was 4 times. Talk to the bank and they told me that they would never call asking to verify information. I am going to give this information to my bank and let their fraud department handle it.
This number calls several times a day.
I don't answer it. And they never leave a message. This is a pain.
It's M&T Bank. They have started a policy that calls people if you haven't paid your loan on time, even if it's not past the late date. Just a bit annoying. I wouldn't answer either.
why does this number appear on my cell
If it's M&T bank, I have no idea why they're calling me - I have no loans or anything to do with them...
it is M&T bank calling you tell them that the person they are calling for is out of town.they still call every day at lease 15 or 16 calls a day.they are a pain in the a**,if you are 1 day pass payment they start calling they dont even wait till the 10 day grace is up
We just had two of these with in the last hour. They "claim" to be "M & T Bank." We don't owe anything.
I called the main Bank office & they have no idea why someone would be calling. The branch manager is looking into it.
only 70 payments to go....
they're a bad credit finance outfit.... mostly auto loans
car dealers use em when they have a customer with a low FICO score that cant qualify for loan with other lenders
if you have crappy credit, they're the ones that will approve your loan with a crappy (expensive/long term) financing deal
They keep calling me looking for my mother. If these people are really from a bank shouldn't they have her number not mine? I dont have any accounts at M&T and I an not on any loans with my mother so I don't understand how they have my phone number!
Looks like their call to me was legitimate. But why don't they leave a message???? After reading posts here and finding out this was M&T, I went to my account on-line and discovered that I had forgotten to make last month's home equity line payment. If they'd left a message with specific details, I'd have returned the call and taken care of the payment immediately. If it hadn't googled the number and found these postings, I'd still be unaware of the missed payment. Of course, one would wonder why they are calling me when I'm only one month behind and normally make my payments on time. I would have discovered the error in a few days when the next statement arrived in the mail.
You should take into consideration they are probably contacting you so you dont get a 1099 from the IRS because anything over 600 in short sale is considered a gift and you are responsible for taxes. Just a thought
The reason they can not is because if they share personal information without verifying they are speaking to the right person it is against the law.
No-message call to my cell phone. I don't do business with this bank, and I've had this number for at least 8 years; if they have a loan with my phone number on it, it's probably bogus loan paperwork. My bottom line is, if they were genuinely trying to track a deadbeat debtor, they'd leave a message with a name, a case # and callback #. But since they do none of the above, they're a waste of bandwidth.
They keep bugging us b/c we had a short sale involving a HELOC of theirs, but it was settled over 6 months ago. (their own mistake filing a lein subordination caused them to get less) We don't answer any of their questions, and before hanging up tell them to send us what they want by mail. We've received nothing to date. M&T is the absolute worst! Horrible!
FYI-.......... many people don't know this, but I'm pretty sure that if I had agreed to send them as much as 1 dollar, that would re-instate the loan and we would then owe back the $7,000 they agreed to write off.
I received a call from this bank because I have a car loan from them. They like to call and remind you to pay your loan before its due. I'm thinking about changing to another Bank.. I always pay my bills on time and this is getting annoying.
call isn't for telemarketing.
this is for individuals with loans and lines of credit with the bank.
if you don't have business with M&T than you probably have a number of a previous customer and it is a simply mistake.
