i have been getting a call for months from this 1-800-724-9586 number. they are wanting to know if i want to extend the warranty on my vehicle. i keep telling to stop calling. i do not want an extended warranty.

After I picked up, and said "hello" the line hung up

The number is US Fidelis.  I called for information on an extended warranty but was uncomfortable with their high pressure techniques and decided to shop around; been getting calls from them several times a week since.

The call is from US Fidelis who is a extended warranty corportation for vehicles.

This # goes to US FIDELIS the auto warranty company for older model cars. If you've ever called and inquired about the commercial and didn't sign up----THEY WILL HARRASS YOU. Just call them back and tell them to remove your # fromt their calling list and that should stop the calls.

I've have never spoken to these people nor have they ever left a message.... but I have missed phone calls from them every day on my caller ID. I'm always at work when they call but I'll tell you what if they EVER wake me up on a day off I'm going to freak out! I am also on the 'do not call list'... what's the point of being on that list if every one gets your digits any way?! I've had numbers that come up consistantly as cell phone numbers on my caller ID... when I call the number it tells me my call can not be completed... SO STINKIN ANNOYING!!

this company has a commercial.  i recently saw it after about a month of them calling me and asking me to get warranty on my car with them. they also kept sending me mail and letters advising me that my car was close to being over the warranty limit.  they claimed to be associated with Kia.  I would like to thank everyone that has posted information about the Do Not Call List.  I am saving the links and making sure that I'm protected from scammers from now on.  I think everyone should do the same.  Times are tough and there's not reason to be giving in to these scams

This company has called me within the past 2 months at least 5 times.  Each time, I asked them to remove my name, and they assured me it would be done.  They called me again today, and I told them to never call again, and the guy said he would put a note in that I don't want to be called anymore.  I called back immediately and spoke to a woman and she said there were no notes listed under my number regarding the fact I did not want to be called again.

The people calling from this number are very eager to sell you an extended car warranty.  Sounds like a scam.

I believe its US Fidelis.  I called a while back asking about extended warranty and was very up front in saying that I'm just seeing what I would be paying to get an extended warranty.  Once they broke it down for my I reiterated that I would be shopping around for a while and that I would let them know.  The rep I was talking to sent me to my manager who hounded me for 20 minutes with extended financing and lower payments promises.  I said thanks but no thanks, I'm just shopping around.  The conversation ended with a kurt..."So you're saying you don't want to protect your vehicle at this time?" which prompted a quick hangup by me.  They've called an average of 4 times a week for about 2-months.  Very rude.  Very annoying.  I would reject service on principal.

A company  can not solict you by phone once your telephone phone number has been placed on the Federal Trade Commission "Do Not Call List" for at least 30 days. Each call may be considered a separate violation.

A company with which a consumer has an established business relationship may call for up to 18 months after the consumer’s last purchase or last delivery, or last payment, unless the consumer asks the company not to call again. In that case, the company must honor the request not to call. If the company calls again, it may be subject to a fine of up to $11,000.

If a consumer makes an inquiry or submits an application to a company, the company can call for three months. Once again, if the consumer makes a specific request to that company not to call, the company may not call, even if it has an established business relationship with the consumer.  A consumer whose number is not on the national registry can still prohibit individual telemarketers from calling by asking to be put on the company’s own do not call list.

I got the call on 9/16/08 They told me they noticed my coverage was expired on my can and that they can offer me extended coverage. I asked where they got my name from and they said the dealership. I asked which one and she said she was not in markting and didn't know which one. Then she ask me what kind of car i owned. I said if you have my phone number you must have also got the make of car from the dealership. She said it was missing. I asked if this is the same coverage as came with my auto and she said almost. I ake her to mail me the contract so I could see what I was buying. She wanted to charge me money to look at the contract. I said I was not that dump but nice try and by the way I'm on the do not call list and I have your number on my caller ID so I'll be filing a complaint. She hung up. I hope this is the end of this scamm for me.

I think the whistle is a good Idea, these people are completely rude.  To think I would give them a credit card #.

This number is a joke. they just want to take your money thats all it is. this warrany is not even valid.

this number has not stopped calling for weeks! i have talked to every manager and told them to stop calling me i have asked over 7 days in a row if i could speak to a manager and every person has hung up on me. i am also on the do not call list and yet they keep calling i am about to drive out there and do some parking lot hunting! it has got to the point where i am about to answer the phone with a whistle!

They have been calling me repeatedly for the last 3 weeks, I am getting tired of these harassing calls!

I agree with the comment that they are very rude and pressuring. I went through the three stages of the phone call and asked them to send the something in writing so that I could review the proposal and take a look at the terms of the agreement (they wanted to charge my credit card with $400 without even looking at the contract!) I am an attorney and my advice is to avoid these people at all costs. :)

I've received calls from this number everyday for the past month.  I had never answered but I will next time to let them know to take me off their calling list and stop bothering me.

Got a call from them on Friday, 8 Aug and today, Monday 11 Aug.  I missed both calls but called them back today.  They didn't even ask what I was calling about...they just started in their sales pitch and the woman was very persistent in getting my reasons for not wanting their service.  She also said that they had talked to me on 11 July...I had never talked to them before.  I'm on the Do Not Call list, so they had better have a d**n good reason for calling me.

I kept continually getting phone calls from this number. I asked to speak to a manager and he was rude and very high pressure. I told him I would check with my car dealership to find out the exact relationship he was claiming he had with my Jeep dealer and he hung up on me. (By the way my Jeep dealer has never heard of this company.) I tried calling back and the phone number was no longer in service. They are still calling. Today they called, and I very firmly told them to not call again. They hung up on me. In my opinion, they are not a "Real" business and should be avoided like the plague. Please tell your elderly friends and family members, I would hate to see them taken by this company's scare tactics.

It's a auto warranty company.  While back i prank called them thining *67 would overide the caller id.  it doesn't.  I told them I need warranty on my 1987 Honda Acccord with 280,000 miles....now they call me back all the time.

I requested a quote on a used pick-up I had, then I decided their pricing was ridiculous & I told them I was no longer interested. From that point on, they continue to call ever dropping their rate. Here's a concept...why not offer a low rate from the start! THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT BUY INTO IT!
