Thank you Anonymous for bringing this to our attention.  I can assure you that somehow they are using our phone number for this scam without our knowledge.  I am currently working with our phone provider to correct this problem.  I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you and assure you that it has become a priority of mine to get it corrected.  If you could please keep me updated on this site as we work to solve the problem, I would appreciate it.

Correction to my "Anonymous" post of 30 March 2014, wherein I referred to my more detailed post on this site under 800-274-2599 of 30 May 2014.  The phone number mentioned was correct, but it should have referred to my post under 800-274-2599 on 30 March 2014.  Thanks.  This seems to be a very useful site to let others know about your experiences with particular phone numbers, as well as to find out what others experiences are with a given number that may have called you.  I am greatful to the creators of this site.

Appears to be a SCAM, purporting to be AT&T, trying to frighten people into making a payment on a web site, in amounts from $200 to $500.  See my more detailed "Anonymous" post on this site, under 800-274-2599 on 30 May 2014.  AT&T says it is NOT from them and their "Annoyance Call Bureau" at 1-800-348-8727 says they can't do ANYTHING about it.  They refer you to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) at 1-877-382-4357.  With all the money AT&T makes, one would think they could afford lawyers to file suit against people using their name fraudulently in a SCAM.  AT&T HAS now been informed of the misuse of their corporate name.  Hopefully, if AT&T can't or won't do ANYTHING about it, maybe the FTC will.  Calls are generally always the same and come in from multiple 800 numbers, so far --- 800-726-1330, 800-123-1010, 800-323-4622, and 800-274-2599.
