Asked for my social security number when I did not have credit card number.I had just awoke and gave it to them.

Got a call from this number stating "Immediate Attention" is needed for my LLBean Visa, but they wanted my SS number for verification, which I did not give them.

When my nephew stopped by, I had him call them back and all they said was, "Customer Support" and to enter my Credit card number and SS number.  He hung up and found this board.

They have been calling me for a week now at about 10am. They leave voicemails with no answer. I called today, and it immediately asks for SSN. I know better. If you wait, a person will answer. The first lady hung up on me. The second time around, another lady told me her name was Cindy and it was a Barclay Bank credit collection. I have never heard of the bank, nor have I ever purchased "NFL" credit cards or other unheard of credit cards she mentioned. She said there must be a mistake and that she would take my name off the call list. We'll see. It is a scam, and I reported them to the Federal Trade Commission. I recommend that all of you do so, PLEASE, so the message will get out about these frauds.

This company KEEPS calling me about a credit card that I DO NOT have with them nor do I want one with them. I have left them a message saying that I will report them if they do NOT stop calling me. It is costing me MONEY everytime that they call me. This is an on going problem that has been happening for about 5 months now. dec 15, 2011,  have been getting calls to my cellphone from 866-740-4298.  asking for ss.  topic is "problem /issue with your Barclaycard"  I have no Barclay Card. they request a call back to 800-726-5162.  my cell is 6302583520-mike

This was Barclay's Bank.

We paid this account off ($0 balance) in September. Apparently some form of protection coverage (that we didn't sign up for) brought the balance in October to $1.16. We were moving, knew that this was paid off and that we didn't charge anything, so we paid no attention to the mail. Received a call to pay or get a $37 late fee. We paid $1.16.

November, another call that we would receive a $37 late fee. Get this. The protection service charged the account $0.01. A $37 late fee on a $0.01 balance.

We have not yet figured out how the protection was added to this card. Barclays said that we can't dispute this charge because it's from a merchant. We called the protection service and canceled it. They will also refund $0.01.

Ridiculous.

a neighbor got a call from this number at 9:30 p.m., claiming to be from Barclays Bank, saying they were looking for us, and that we had given the bank our neighbor's name as a reference.  But--we don't have any account with Barcalys, and we wouldn't have used those neighbor's name for any kind of reference.

Keep receiving calls from 800 726 5162, they do not leave a message & I do not answer!

Called the #  pressed 0 during each message...spoke to a rep from Juniper and she said??that she will remove me from the call list even though it doesn't show my # on the list.

This number calls our office every day - we are an insurance agency - they ask for someone I never heard of. When I ask what it is in reference to, they hang up. I have asked that they remove this number form their list but obviously they don't. I have kept the numbers on our switchboard caller ID and they have called 17 times in 24 days.

Keep getting calls from the number 800.726.5162, so I called it back and they ask for a account number or a social #?!?!? Are you kidding me, what in the world makes you think I'd give you my social before you tell me who it is. I kept aksing who they were and they kept telling me that I have to give then some information first?!?!? For what, I need to know who you are....FIRST.......

People keep calling from this number, asking to speak to one of our employees. I took a message from "Daria" and she gave me this number with the extension 35453. When I asked what this was regarding, they claimed they are calling "on behalf of her bank."

..if they're from her bank, why don't they have her home number? Sounds a bit strange to me.

Getting repeated robocalls from this number.  Appears to be affiliated with Barclays Bank/Juniper credit card collections.  If I get a person on the line, it does no good to tell them I don't know the person they're asking for. If anything they just apologize and say they'll take my name "off the list," then a few days later the calls start again.  I think they' may be using private contractors to make these collection calls.
We need a Federal LAW to stop collection agencies from placing robocalls.  This is ridiculous.

A call for Connie Smith, a deadbeat debtor!  The caller was incoherent when asked to identify herself.  I wasn't going to argue, so I hung up.  They must be trying to raise funds to pay for their endorsement of Phil Mickelson.

Very harassing!

Cell phone rang @ 9:29 AM while I was out doing business. Left no message or anything. If they are legit they would have stated the reason for their call, especially if it's "important".

This is absurd! I have been getting from 800-658-0074 which is a debt collection agency in Florida called Enhanced Recovery Collections (ERC). I called the number and told them I have no debts or dealings with them or anybody else that are turned over to a collection agency and I wanted them to stop calling me. I called from home land line and I gave them the cell number to quit calling. The rep I talked to claimed the number was not in their collection data base, to which I replied BS!...I had the messages stacked up on my pre-paid cell phone to prove it. They said if I get another call go ahead and answer and follow the directions to stop the calls. Next time that number calls I will. But the more rediculous part is this...less that 5 min after I was off the phone with the ERC rep my cell rang...caller ID said it was 800-726-5162! I didn't answer. I Googled the number and found a page full of links, one of which was to this page. I have nothing to do with the credit card/bank companies mentioned here. I don't think it's a coincidence. I won't answer any toll free calls from my cell and pay to beg somebody to quit calling.

Called back and an automated system asks for my social security number. I think it's a debt collector.

Has anyone had any luck fighting Barclay's Airtran Card? 1.5 years I've been disputing the card that was opened in my name without my knowledge. I have disputed the negative marks with credit rating companies and was told the same after reviewing case, I am liable.

Im an underage adult to be receiving these type of call, i was like REAL ticked off.

recieved call at 10am easter morning, person was asking for someone in our family that hasn't lived in the house for over 4 years and stated they gave the number to them haven't talked to this family member in the same amount of time and only have had my number for less than a year.  Stated they had a job to do on EASTER!!!

call my cell from this and other numbers- Like I want to spend my cell minutes discussing an account I can't pay right now. Leaves no message normally, just calls daily!
