Got a call from this number today, April 29th 2014, and heard a voicemail simply saying that they were from GC Services and to give them a call back. There was no information given regarding the reason why they called.

I called back, "Mr. Lee" picked up, asked me for my driver's license number so he could check my account. I did and he said it was for a penal code violation and without any break in his sentence he asked how I would like to pay for this. I inquired as to what the penal code violation was for, and it was a speeding ticket from 2008 that I had already paid off in 2012. I told "Mr. Lee" this and he said he would put this case under review and to give them a call back in a week or two.

This is a debt collection company that works for the court system (and possibly others), and they sound very unorganized. Calling in regards to a 6 year old debt that has been paid 2 years prior to the phone call, then asking ME to call THEM back to see if it's been resolved. Unprofessional.

I got a call from them on my mobile, I didn't have it with me & they left a message apparently the guy who called is Mr night, they asked me to return their call, of course I didn't. I don't even know how they got my #.

Stupid scumbags;  Last ticket i had was mid 1990s paid it and did traffic school. With these turkeys it is usually dead air calls no one there then hang up. OMG i think I just insulted turkeys.

These guys are fraud.  Got a call regarding a citation I got back in 2008 which I had taken care of.  They have no information that they can give me regarding this.  They just keep pushing and pushing for payments.  I won't pay anything until I know what it is for and if they don't have any documentation to give me regarding the incident then they can kick rocks.  Called the DMV and I have a clear record with no outstanding violations so if you're good with the DMV these low lifes don't matter.

Collector:  Where did you not learn to write and spell and phrase a sentence properly?

I just got a call from this number.  The messages here say it's collection of unpaid tickets, but I haven't driven for many years, due to MS, so I don't see how they can be calling me about a traffic ticket.  Maybe they're calling someone else who used to have this phone number, but I've had this number for over a year now.  I'd be wary if I were you.

I received a message from this number today, and was shocked to hear what appeared to be a collection agency.  They left a message to call back and insisted that I call them back immediately, however they did not leave the reason for their call, or from what company they were with, or to any bill which they are referring.  I paid off all my debt a year ago, in order to buy a house...thus I have perfect credit right now.  So I am absolutely amazed that I am receiving such calls from a collection agency.  I can only imagine what they think I owe them, as I have nothing on my credit report.  I hope somebody goes after this company and sues them.  I would myself, but I have too much on my plate to take on such a time consuming project.  But if there is a class action law suit against these shinanigans, sign me up!  I'm tired of people trying to take hard earned money away from others that isn't rightfully theirs!!!!  Enough is enough!

Answer machine had some music play for a few seconds. If this is a collection agency they must be hard up to use a caller ID with 99 cents plus. The caller ID would have been more accurate with Idiots plus.

I saw the number and I answered and a machine says hold on this is an important phone call. I answered, Yeah my a** and hang up!

I've been getting calls from this # on my cell phone. They left a voice mail once and they were asking for some guy named Stephen (not me). Other times no message is left.  Listen to my outgoing message, clearly I'm not this Stephen person...annoying!

We get calls from this number but never get any voices.  Sometimes we pick up and hear nothing;  other times there's a hang-up click.

The caller ID says 800 SERVICE, which some legitimate businesses use, so we have been picking up.  We will be watching for this particular number, so we can return the hangup favor.

They started calling on 1/20 demanding payment. I have an arraignment in _April_ for a minor traffic violation, but they're telling me that I'm past due and will have my license suspended at the end of the day if I don't pay up immediately - with a bank account, not just a credit card or a mailed payment. Sounds like an invitation to clean out the account.

I think the court got greedy or a clerk screwed up, unless they offer 24/7 access to their database. At least this gives me further ammunition to contest the ticket.

I keep getting calls from this number 18007275848, but no one says anything. As soon as I answer they either stay on for a few seconds or hang up immediately. In either case, it is at all times of the day. It is intrusive and annoying.
I do not have outstanding debt to attribute annoying collection calls to, so this is probably a wrong number that never gets cleared up because they will not talk.

This number called me today, when I called back on redial it said it was a MagicJack #.  Then I physically redialed and got GC Collection Services.  They said I had a outstanding ticket since 2003.  I didnt believe them and asked to speak with a sup.  I vaguely remember the citation but I am almost 100% positive I took care of it.  I have renewed my license since then and also received a fix it ticket and speeding, both which I went to court for and nobody ever brought up I had a outstanding ticket.  Also the CHP would of said I had a failure to appear which the lady on the phone mentioned.  Im going to wait as 8 years ago is along time.

These people have been calling for months now. Everytime I see the number 626-962-1074 Operation Div on the caller ID I ignore it and let it go to the answering machine. They never leave a mesg. so i know its not important. This time I answered the phone and a lady "Ms. Waul" stated I had a citation back in 1998 and owed the court $623. I told them I never received any type of notice in the mail and to send me a copy of the citation. She said she could not do that. I asked her the reason for the citation and she could not explain. She said that if I didnt pay that my license would be suspended or a warrant would be out for my arrest. She told me to call her back tomorrow before 2pm to get this resolved. I hung up the phone and called the number she gave 800-727-5848 x3576 and spoke to a different person who did not know anything about the ticket and was unable to obtain any type of documentation to send to me. He said I could pay $300 now and the rest later. They just needed my bank info. Yeah right...  I definitely believe this is a scam...do not give your drivers license or any type of information about yourself when they ask.

I receved more than 10 calls in one day from this number. When I called the (800)962-1074 number that they left on my VM back, she said her name was Mrs. Mossley and I had topay $593 in order to keep my driving privileges. According to them I have some unpaid ticket from 2003 that was forwarded to them for collections. First of all, I never got the ticket! I called the courts, no such ticket exists! Second, last time I checked the courts have their own recovery department that does the collections. NOT AN OUTSIDE COLLECTION AGENCY!

being 15 and not having school for 2 weeks i natural sleep in every day and today this number woke me2 up at 6 am

1-800-727-5848 -- I received a bill from GC Services, P.O. Box 7820, Baldwin Park, CA 91706, in which they claimed that I owe $$$$$ from a so-called traffic violation way, way back in the 1990s. Then they started harrassment calls using 1-800-727-5848 under the guise of "Superior Court". A simple GOOGLE Search on "GC Services" and "1-800-727-5848" reveals that this company and the people that work for them are LIARS and have a track record of FRAUD. There needs to be a thorough legal investigation of this "GC Services" and "1-800-727-5848" by the appropriate authorities as this type of activity cannot continue by this fraudulent entity.

you are definitely a collector.  You call people lazy a***s and stupid for not paying their tickets but if everybody did that you wouldn't have a job.  Sounds to me like you are the lazy a** because you won't find yourself a better job and stop being miserable as you obviously are.

GC Services, a collection agency. They are RUDE and obnoxious. Be prepared when you call to probably get pissed off at them!

Yes, they really are a collection agency.  I would advise that you settle up with the original court that turned it over to GC.

FAAAKKEE! i dont even bother answering numbers I dont know.  Plus from what I've read here, there's no reason I should be called.  I have no outstanding bills, no car accidents nothing. SOOOO ANNOYING!

They are collection agency that charge up 30 to 40% of your bill don't use them, go to where you have the payment and make arragment.  I had a traffic ticket and they drop it to 30% of what this company said I needed to pay. What a d f they are. Stand for your rights.

I hate to inform you all, but this is the real deal.  You owe money to the Walnut Creek collections agency.  I work for a legal aid firm and had to contact them today to help a client set-up a payment plan to get a hold on her license removed.  You should probably pay or the amount is just going to continue to increase until they decided to place some other legal sanction on you.  My apologies if this ruins your day.

I had the same 6 calls to my cell in less than 30 mins, I picked up, nobody there, one time they asked me by actual name, then I responded, who wants to know, and they hung up. I called the number back and it was out of service, then less than 10 seconds later I get a call from that number and it hung up on me, this is strange, and very uncomfortable, especially when they know your full name.....GRRR...

That sure says it all, doesn't it.  Look at "collector's" spelling and grammar abilities.  His shift key is obviously broken as well.  Debt collectors are really low, if not the lowest, on the employment totem pool.  If they had any skills, any skills at all, they would be working in that other field, not collections.

The truth is, collection peons don't seem to care whether you are the person with the unpaid debt or not.  Even people like me, who don't have any outstanding debts, are harassed by these rats.  For years, they have told me that my name is that of some other gentleman and that I do owe them money.  It is obvious that they are not paid to find truth, or there are many who go against the wishes of their employer.

Unfortunately, it seems that if you do answer one of their calls, to defend yourself, you ultimately have set yourself up to be harassed at an even greater degree.  No doubt that the future holds more phone features like mine, in which I can add harassing phone numbers to a blacklist and said numbers never ring my phone but instead use up as much time as it can trying to keep the rat in "eternal hold."  Hopefully it saves at least one person from receiving a call from the rat.
