I got a call from this number today at 6pm. They claimed to be from Marlboro and needing to update my information so I can receive coupons and such. It didn't really sound like a professional sales call.

Received call seeking another household member who was not home.  So advised.  Learned it was a tobacco company (Marlborough) and told them there were no smokers in household.  Insisted they would call later for person in question.  Told them we were on do not call list and had no relationship with them.  Asked to be removed from list.  They said they would call the person in question and hung up despite being told that person never answered 800 number calls.

Called twice yesterday and twice today...and it is Sunday.

Before posting "Whaaaaaa, poor me!" statements people should do a bit of research.  The number can easily be ID'd through a Google search.  It's Philip Morris, they're calling you to update their records (you DID give them your number, remember?  It's when you signed up to get cigarette coupons and other offers).  I just got off the phone with them, they were very polite, took about three minutes and that's that.

Jut because you get a call you don't recognize doesn't mean they're cold calling you!

It is Phillip Morris updating info for their mailing list. I called it back. I'm sure they would remove your number, name and email if u don't want any mail, email or calls.

Got my first call from them today but they did not leave a message. I am registered with the Marlboro Smoker Service (they send many discount coupons and some nice gifts!) so it probably was Phillip Morris, as identified on other "who called?" sites.

have called about once a month so far. no msg left

keep calling. 5 times in two days. I haven't answered this. Calling at odd times on the weekend no doubt. Woke me up today. Need to stop. I don't answer my phone at 9 am on Sunday mornings from an 800 number. I don't answer any 800 numbers unless I know who is calling me period.

I keep getting calls from this number.  Caller ID shows  800 Service.  I don't recognize this number so I don't answer the phone but they never leave a message.  Someone below replied that it is Philip Morris calling.  I never signed up for anything from or for  Philip Morris nor Marlboro and I certainly didn't give them my phone number but I am constantly getting calls from them.  If they are just updating their records or doing a survey, then they should leave a messge stating so and leave a phone numbner  for you to call them back.  That would be the polite thing to do.

Then the POLITE thing for them to do would be to leave a message instead of harrassing you with many, many phone calls

I got called several times a day from them. Neither myself or my wife smoke yet they got our number and name somehow and refused to take our name off the list without our information.

I totally agree and the man I spoke to answered the phone like he had been getting yelled at all day! :( if you treat everyone that crosses your path the same way you would want to be treated the world would be a better place! I don't answer these calls either, but I will call them back off-peak. If you are worried about it sign up with your phone's service provider to block all 800 calls. There are so many other things in life to stress over than a phone call!

I don't smoke, neither does my husband. It is very annoying, when he tries to sleep during the day. So therfore, yes, they are cold calling people!

Did you ever think of answering the phone and telling them that you're not a smoker and you don't want them calling?  Brilliant idea, huh?

I also am getting frequent  800 service calls.  When I did the reverse phone lookup it said it was not a valid number. When I look on our phone there are two numbers for 800 Service 877-375-6992 and 877-202-9821 both are not valid phone numbers.
