They are definitely scam. Dont get fooled guys. I told them I am a student and I cant go to this trip, give me the money instead, i knew it was scam so I asked them that question as a matter of curiousity, what they told me was, we dont give away the money and we want you to pay the taxes right a way. I told them I dont need this trip and dont call me anymore and they are still calling me. I think I will take some legal actions against them.

I got a call saying I won a free trip to the Bahamas, they kept calling saying they got my name from a contest at a trade show in Canada.  I haven't been anywhere in Canada except to go thru it.  Anyhow, they wanted my CC# for a $59.00 "port taxes".When I refused they gave up.  It ain't free if you got to pay anything up front with your credit card.

Same as everyone else on this website.  It's interesting that I was called on my visual call waiting from 800-417-9257 by an automated voice who told me to call 800-922-6373.  The person also informed me to call 800-730-0293 to take me off their call list.  I googled all three numbers, and they all led to web page complaints just like this one.

I can tell you how a real contest actually works, as I've recently won something.  A person calls you to tell you exactly what you've won, reminds you where you entered the contest specifically, and tells exactly how and where to get your prize.  Surprisingly, no one asks you for a credit card or for any type of payment.  You just get the prize.  Who'd a thunk it?

I have been getting these calls for about a month now. same story as everyone above. I finally decided to google the number today & found this thread. If you want them to stop calling you, you can call this # 1-800-922-63-73.

clearly everyone that had posted this telemarketers has been one year and running, seeing from the old post November 2008. clearly it has been running for such a long time and we aint all winners.

1-561-424-0845 some lady by the name of Candice. she gave me her direct contact 561-364-4140 and she said call back in an hour otherwise i will loose my ballot.

if your a contest winner how can you loose your ballot.. pathetic. lol
the 561 area code comes from florida. so how does canadian mall suhc as fairview mall have any sort of relationship with a what seems like call centre down or office down in florida. even administrate a contest out of they're jurisdiction.

not sure if its a scam or major marketing deployment initiative in trying to promote the cruise ship but why do they have to lie about it.

I get a call every day from this number, I never answer it, it's a pre-recorded message from a different voice each time telling me I've won a cruise after visiting the trade show in Canada.  I haven't been to a trade show in a year and I didn't put my name in on a cruise, so it's BS.  I've filed a complaint on them every day for a week with the Canadian National Do Not Call List site at https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/index-eng

I am getting sick of these people. I am a stay-at-home mom and all i have is a pay-as-u-go-phone. They are eating up my air time and money by calling everyday and leaving a message if i don't answer.
I called there, told them this, and was told there is nothing they will do about it.
I am thinking about calling a lawyer to make sure these people don't call me again!

Same as everyone else.  I don't remember entering ANY draw or filling out ANY ballots ANYWHERE.  I've never been to a trade show in my life and apparently, according to their daily VMails, that's how they got my number.  Does anyone know how to make this stop?

I just got a call today from 1800 730 0272. about the free cruise because I did the survey or some sort. They don't know what I exactly I did to win because all they can see in their computer is my name and my number that was given to them by the cruise line. Such liars!

The want me to pay upfront a $59 port taxes and i got 1 year and 1/2 to decide. That really sounds like a scam. And they gave me a website www.imperialcruisevacation.com, and when i checked, nothing really is in that website.

this number called my cell phone for the first time one day. it was a woman and she asked for a specific person, which was not me. so i told her she got the wrong number. then a few hours later, a man from the same number called and told me something about a cruise. i sort of remember filling out some ballets here and there, but i don't think they were anything like that. i ignore all phone calls from strangers, so i hung up right after. i didn't even know what the call was really for.

after that, this number calls me almost everyday. it has been 3 weeks!! i ignore it everytime, since i know it's a 1-800 number and i hate dealing with these stangers.

then they called me again one day when i was out with my boyfriend. i've had enough of them calling me everyday, so i told my bf to help me ask who they really are and why are they calling me everyday. so my bf helped me answer and told them to stop calling before the guy could even say why he's calling.

i was still curious about what this number is. so i tried googling it. and i found this site! after reading all the reports about this number, i realized how ridiculous this scamming company is!

then i told my sister about this and she wanted to play a prank on them. but we didn't want to make it big, we just wanted to see how these people react if people called them back. so my sister called and asked if she is still eligible for the cruise. this guy was on the other line and he sounded so eager for the call. but my sister hung up after he asked for her name and number.

but what i can tell you guys is, this group of scammers seem quite professional and good at faking it. they sounded like a real company when we called them. but anyway, i really hope they wouldn't ever call me again!

This number +18007300293 is calling me every 2-3 days saying that I have own a prize for cruise in Bahamas. They keep calling even if I say I am not interested.I do not know how to stop them calling me. Is there any place to report?

I received a phone call from them today. He said that I won a cruise to Bahamas. At the begining I didn't realize that it's a scam because he knew my name and address (except postal code). He said that all I need to do is to pay $59 as a port fees which is a goverment fee, and I need to do it right now. He also offered me a package where I need to pay $249 and I will get couple days in Fort Lauderdale, couple days in Orlando and couple days in Las Vegas.  That's when I realized that it's a scam. When I refused to provide him any info he passed me over to the person who introduced me as a promotional manager. He gave me a web site to review, which is   http://www.imcv.net/ When I asked him why it is not  http://www.imperialmajesty.com/ he said that because www.imcv.net has been designed specifically for me so I would understand what a great deal I'm getting. He said that if I will pay right now he will give me extra vacation to Cancun for free. I asked if I can call back, he said that I need to pay right now and I can't call back. I kept saying that I will not going to give him my CC over the phone when he just hang up the phone! THIS IS A SCAM BIG TIME! DON'T TRUST ANYONE WHO IS ASKING YOUR CC# OVER THE PHONE AND WHO WANTS YOU TO MAKE A DESCISION RIGHT AWAY.

i just received a call from a guy announcing that i won a free cruise to the Bahamas (so excited, especially keeping in mind those 100 cm of snow outside). Surprisingly, he knew my name and address, so i asked him where he got this info from. He said that i completed a ballot in Fairview Mall (TO), which i remember doing but only to win a car, no cruises or anything, but still that's what made me believe in miracles for a second. He went on explaining that cruise is the best way of vacation, (the guy got carried away a bit with that) and stated that i can use up my free cruise in the next 18 months- whenever i feel convenient to take some time off and asked for a cc no. to pay a mere $59.99 fee to secure my seat. I explained him that i do not give my cc no. to anyone over the phone and asked to send me documentation. He said that it's not a problem to send me an email but he needs me over the phone during the time i receive an email as there are some things he needs to guide me through including registration, so i have to stay on the line. I replied that this is not a good time for me to have a long phone chat and asked to call me back tomorrow, to which he replied that he'll then send me an email tomorrow as well. I wondered why is it he cannot send me an email NOW and call back tomorrow so we can go over it, and he said it's not a problem and he'll send it to me right now. The problem is- he never asked/confirmed by email address %) Here I am, half an hr later, desperate to get my email and get away to the Bahamas, checking my emails constantly, and NOTHING is received. Such a liar.

Pls be careful and DO NOT GIVE AWAY YOUR CC NO. TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE. as a rule of thumb, do not agree/sign/give any info to strangers on spot, tell them you have to get back to them later, go and do your research. if ppl push you to make a decision "now or never"- beware, something's wrong

i got that two well my parents got a phoen call sayn that they won but my dad asked them if it could send in cheq and they said no
so my parents dont knoe wat to do

thnak go i recived teh same call they were so in good detail and keep saying its just 59$ tax only but some how i was having a gut feeling this is not right so i told them i have to consult with my husband and then i will let them know and hang up they keep calling me on my phone everyday and leave the message for me. even in the message they sound so convincing so i was about to all them but ithought to come on google and search for this # info if any body elase have won and their i found this web thank god i didnt call them.

Got a call from them too and for the same reason (chosen for a free cruise to Bahamas after an application I filled in in some shopping mall in Toronto) but I decided not to give them my credit card information before I figure out how much I can trust them. It looks like they want to send all the population of Toronto to Bahamas.

I'm getting calls from this guys every day....my wife apparently filled out a ballot at a mall to win a car, and that's how they got our info. She called them to removed our numbers...Total SCAM!!! My friend won a big screen TV and he didn't have to pay taxes and he had to answer an easy skill question.

me too my mother and I filled out a ballot at the Upper Canada Mall to win a car not a cruise...anyways they have called both of us and got quiet upset with my mother when she refused to give her credit card number to this person. Me,,well they call me every day three times a day at my work (i never give out my home number) and I have call display so I don't pick it up anymore. the first time I did and when I picked up MY PHONE and said Hello they said thank you for calling ??? something cruise lines and I said I didn't call you you called me...I hung up at that point...

After multiple phone calls from this phone number daily, I finally called them back asking to be removed from their mailing list.  The guy I was talking to told me that the reason why they kept calling was because I had won a free trip, and that I had signed up for this contest at a mall in Toronto.  I'm not sure how they got a hold of my phone number, but I told them I wasn't interested in the trip and to just remove me from the list.  Let's hope that they comply with my request.
