they call our company numebr and leave messages as "Dell Financial Services" trying to reach our Account Payable department. The tone of the voice leaving messages makes you not want to call back for some reason. Last time they left a voicemail again and said "I already left you 4 messages. I NEED you to call back about your payable account with Dell Financial Services. " I know that we do not owe anything to Dell, so we never call back. I dialed the number and of course it was not 'Dell".

Obviously left by the Debt Agency. You guys are Zombie Debt Collectors... Making a business out of OLD expired debt. Why don't you go after the United States Government? Last I heard we owe Trillions to China! haha

Got a call saying I owe money on some dental work done!. I do not have any dental work done in that specific year. I know that for sure because I was out of country around that time. I tell them to verify my address and they do not have my address on file.

They got a nice little story from me as to the details they were trying to get from me.  Good luck trying to reach me!

I received a call from my former employer advising me that Dana (sp? - ext 268) at Valentine & Kebarlas is calling my company-provided cell phone (which I left with them) and leaving very"ugly" voicemails when, clearly, the voicemail greeting states that the phone now belongs to someone other than me. The messages are rather detailed and state that I have committed fraud and must call them immediately. Can you imagine what my former employer thinks of me now! As with so many others that have posted comments, I have a delinquent account with Dell Financial. I have contacted Dell several times, but I'm told that I can't even get information on my account from them. I must contact Valentine & Kebarlas.

Report them for what? Since you are/were not the person they were asking for they do not have to tell you who what kind of company they are, that is called 3rd party disclosure.

Actually it is called a Mini Miranda where a debt collector has to notify the customer "that this an attempt to collect a debt."

And you are not allowed to call anyone else if you have our address and phone number. and we can send you a certifed lettle telling you not to call and only contact me by mail. and give the address to send it too.

Who ever has creditors calling don't talk  to them. The only way they can do anything if they take you to court.

Here's the deal, if you owe money, answer your phone and tell the collector what your situation is. Bill collectors call YOU because YOU OWE money! YOU signed a contract to borrow & REPAY someone (obviously now your not keeping you end of the deal), did you forget that portion of the deal while charging up your card? Have the common courtesy to at least discuss your situation with the creditor or legal representative of the creditor. Don't rely on mis informed blog sites to dictate YOUR actions that affect YOUR life. You created your mess, own up to it. Most collectors are very helpful and will work with you, but how would you know that if you assume every person on these angry sites is right?  Answer the phone! Test your waters! And P.S. Your not giving anyone information, if you owe a debt the information they have is the information you already provided. When they ask you to verify it, its to protect you.

if you know your mini maranda rights why are you complaining! You're not disputing that you owe the bill so why don't you take care of your responsibilities. This is what's wrong with America. I received a call from this company stating that they were a law firm investigating fraud on an account belonging to my father. I explained to her that he is deceased, and if there was any activity for that account to please continue investigating... They said that the email didn't seem to belong to my father [the email that he gave for the account to Dell]. That was the fraud- that my father used my email address because he did not have one [he was an older man] then told me that there was an amount due to Dell, and that I could pay it in full, or outrageous payments for the next how ever many months. They never ONCE Identified themselves as a debt collector, nor did they inform me if the call was recorded, that the call was an attempt to collect a debt, and that any information obtained would be used for that purpose... I got no information, and refuse to send them his death certificate because I have not received anything in writing from them. I believe this is a scam!

While I cannot disagree with sensible financial triage, a phone is necessary for job hunting and cable is relatively inexpensive entertainment especially if one has kids. Debtors' phone and cable services are none of your business (or mine). The FDCPA bans deception and shilling is deception.

sometimes it is out of control when u are out of work for two years. you are used to having a certain pay scale, to pay your bills. Not only your rent , car payment.  that includes credit cards.Yes it boils now to our responsibilities.  BUT THERE ARE TIMES WHEN YOU ARE NOT IN CONTROL OF THE SITUATION AND HAVE NO CHOICE TO CHOOSE TO PAY THE RENT AND CAR PAYMENT JUST TO WORK AND KEEP A ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD. IF THESE COLLECTION AGENCY REALLY WANT THERE MONEY. THEY CAN COME TO MY HOUSE AND TAKE ALL THE S*** I BOUGHT ON THE CREDIT CARDS BACK. I WILL SURVIVE WITH OUT THEM.. In 2010 we were contacted about a repossession. After a Google search, we found information at http://www.creditinfocenter.com that was extremely helpful. They had sample letters to send requesting Debt Validation and a Flow Chart of what to do next and when.  

We followed the process they outlined and have not heard from them or the vehicle dealership.

Mark Star used to call me 7-10 times a day.... over a 100 in a few months. He threatens, and pretends that he can take all belongings, plus court fees, plus a "special fee". He is a complete a**le

This company keeps calling and not leaving messages.   They call upwards of 32 times a day!    I'm tired of all this.

someone named steven called and left a message on my phone from a number 2509189820.  When i call this number it says they are valentine and kebartes. Never heard of them.  they say to call them back at 8007317766 ext 409.  Steven says a complaint has been given to him regarding my name, my ss number and my birthdate.  he leaves no info about himself, not even a company name just says to call the 800 no.  So why should i call him?   I am not going to give, or verify any information.  Send me a letter, and i call take it to my attorney.

I am getting numerous calls from person/persons at my place of employment and they do not tell me who they are or what the want. It is against the law to call a person's work place and if this keeps up I will be contacting a lawyer.

i paid for one year to these people for a dell account to be done and settled the last payment was to come out of my checking like every month prior .i receive a collection letter from another company sra stated i owe them the same amount over again sra is a bunch bs wont listen what is the deal with valentine and sra collection when one done the other buys it and go after you again any answer help

I am not familiar with this telephone number, nor the company name.  All these different numbers call from all over the country.  They never leave a message or identify themselves.I do not know anything at all about them. If you are legitimate and professional why is it you are so afraid to identify yourself.  You are calling me.  You expect me to give out personal information, to identify myself, to verify to you who I am, but you are the ones calling me.  Why should i give you my information?  I have no idea who you are.  Where you are calling from. Why you are calling.  Or even if you are who you claim to be.  Why should I identify myself.  You verify who you are. What reason you have to call me. Where you are at.  Some of these numbers when called say they are no longer in service or are not valid phone numbers.  Then how and why are they calling me?  This looks shady, sounds shady, and has a bad odor.

Lol. You obviously represent this corrupt industry who through their own greed lost trillions of dollars that they were then gifted by our govt. with OUR TAX DOLLARS. Then to thank us for bailing them out they raise our interest rates to new heights even if we have always made good on our payments. Yeah we are the problem. Wake up buddy. Whether they are the banks or their collection hench-man, they are all part of the same ponzi scheme.

Next time they call tell them you'll get back to them after congress votes to raise YOUR debt ceiling.

This company has called our company....i checked it out with our credit card company and there is no record of any thing bad about us.   I am filling a compliant against this harassment on our business.
