This # showed up on our cell phone bill as a premium text service that we did not sign up for.  It carried  $9.99 CHARGE. We have no idea who or what it is and verizon could not tell us either. No additional service appears to accompany it.

big time scam... DO NOT use this service -- they take advantage of misdialed numbers, cause confusion as to who or what is contacting you and yes, they charge you for it.... If you get a text from them do not send them a return Y txt as instructed -- only a STOP message.  Then check your mobile bill... immediately.

ARE U KIDDING ME!  I received this text at about 1:30am.

8007415900 / Telemedia has 3 times billed my virgin mobile phone although virgin has been told of this and they claimed to have turned it off.

Three times!

This is certainly a scam and Virgin Mobile is almost certainly complicit.
I have three times asked for these charges to be reversed, have 3 times ensured that this number cannot text me and have even in desperation TURNED OFF TEXT MESSAGING so no texts can even be received.

I still got charged this month, for a text I should not have even received.

Virgin is nasty and is doing this purely to dupe some people who don't have web access and can't monitor their accounts.

I really had hoped for better. Richard Branson would be ashamed if he knew.

This company sent me an SMS at 6 am, even though my phone number is on the DO NOT CALL list. I called them and they were very unpleasant and obstructive. Their website has this message below. Make sure you don't SMS them or they will charge you $9.95 for that returned call. Read the last sentence carefully. That's where they hide the explanation about the charge. This is a SCAM operation and should be eliminated.
