I got the same call....saying on my answering machine that I WAS a finalist a 2008 Lincoln Navigator.  When I called they told me if I attened a 45 min. timeshare meeting, at the end I would receive a scratch off lottery ticket, guaranteed to win, a 7 day Bahama/Florida trip, $45,000 cash, $2500 cash, 2008 Lincoln Navigator or a 32in Plasma TV.  Of course under no obligation.  I was tempted, until they told me I must bring a valid credit card or checking account.  Too Good to be True, I feel bad for even considering going!

Got the same call on on answering machine.  6/14/2008 from Alex at the Grand Sweepstakes Givaway congratulating me on winnin a 2009 Navigaor.  Said this was a sweepstakes I had recently entered - did not enter - Thank goodness I googled the phone number.

Got the same message. "Alex" from the prize claim office, said I'd entered a "grand prize giveaway" and that I'd been awarded a brand new Lincoln Navigator. The number didn't show up on my caller ID, but this is the number she said to call.

Got the same message as well. "Alex" from prize claim office with the "grand prize giveaway" and I won a brand new Lincoln Navigator. Don't have caller ID but they did say to call this 1-800 number.

The above mentioned claim from "ALEX WELLINGTON" screaming in all caps is not entirely correct.  This is how the scam works.  They send you a post card offering $250 in free gas.  You call that number and never get your gas, but they now have your number.  They call your number and announce that you have won a prize (currently its a 2008 Lincoln Navigator, $2500 cash, a vacation package or 32" LCD TV).  You have to verify you earn more than $50K per year and have a credit/checking account then attend a VERY HIGH PRESSURE SALES PITCH.  At the end if you decide not to buy their $7000 membership fee, they blackball you in front of everyone at the meeting.   Cannot afford $7K?  They offer you a loan.  Can't qualify for the loan, they offer you a cheaper deal.  These free vacations are not free (the one everyone wins, as only Alex's brother gets the Navigator, every week).  You pay $150 per person in taxes and more in fees if you want an extra room, etc.  The list goes on and on.  My advice, don't be fooled.  You see something that seems too good to be true, it is.. pitch it and move on.  As the saying goes, there is a fool born every second.

well I got one of those Alex calls - and guess what I googled after feeling a bit elated that perhaps I had won.  Damn the thought of that happening in these trying economic times was WOW. But alas a SCAM. Oh well who said there was ever a free lunch is crazy I say.  Enjoy the quick high and come back to reality.  ha ha

I just found a message on my machine from Alex and the 'Grand Prize Giveaway'. It was stated I had entered a contest for a Lincoln Navigator and offered me congratulations. However, it wasn't stated what or if anything had been won. I suspected a scam & decided to research a bit. Don't have caller ID ... but 1-800-743-4814 was given as the contact number of the 'Prize Claims Office'. I'm listed on the federal do not call registry and am considering reporting this. My next research will be how to report it. I'll save it on my machine for playback purposes. Hows them apples Alex?  :)

I just received the call today congratulating me on a contest for a Lincoln navigator. It sounded a little too suspicious so I did some web browsing ans sure enough its a scam. I was able to get a name and number on my caller ID.

12/10/08 Candice from Prize Claim Center said I won either a Lincoln Navigator, $2500 cash, hotel/cruise getaway, or 32 inch flat screen TV from the Navigator Sweepstakes I entered. Would also receive a $100 gas card just for coming. Address was 6400 N. Andrews, Suite 530, Ft. Lauderdale. Never rcvd gas card. Requirements: married, 53k, age: 35-75. Scam company and should be shut down and fined.

I got a call from Alex, Said I won a lincoln Navigator. Wanted me to call him back at 1 866-401-4626. I never enter Contests because I don't have time for junk calls. I am also on the do not call registry. I DO NOT ENTER CONTESTS! I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. IS SOMEONE BREAKING THE LAW? I think so and I hope they get caught. Needless to say I won't be responding to his call.

This is a Time Share Scam!  Another toll free number associated with this one is 1-800-821-2670, David Mitchell is the contact person.  My second contact person was Tanya at the 800 743-4814.
Sponsor of the contest:  World Resorts.  Asked to attend an "Award Ceremony" which would last 1 hour, and we would be given information about their company.  My prizes would be one of the following:  Grand prize: Ford Explorer  2nd prize: 4 day 3 night cruise  3rd prize: 26inch Sharp flat screen T.V.  
They did not know my name.  My phone number is on the Federal No Call List.  I told them that their toll free number is listed on the internet as a time-share scam and I told them to get my number off of their call list immediately.

Same call as everyone else.  Alex telling me I entered a contest to win a Navigator (gag).  What a load.

My parent's answering message said they had won a 2008 Lincoln Navigator, that the contest was over, and they needed to call 800-743-4814.

With all of the detail given in previous reports, I was able to do a little Google research and assure my 83 year old father this was NOT a call he needed to return.

My caller ID said unknown but that I should call 800-743-4814. He said that I had entered the Grand Sweepstakes Giveaway to win a Navigator and the contest is over and that he has good news. He didn't say that I won the navigator, just that he had good news. Maybe he wants to tell me that I saved a lot of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.

It's too bad that this sounds like a scam since there's a Nigerian prince willing to give to $10Million if I buy him a Navigator, and I KNOW that he's legit.

November 13, 2008 there was a message left on my answering machine from Alex from the Grand Sweepstake Give Away Prize Claim Center,said we entered a contest for a Lincoln Navigator the contest is now over and to call 800-743-4814 and congratulations!  I don't remember entering a contest; I had a feeling it was a scam.  I'm glad I checked it out!

This is bull. I'm gonna play with these guys for a little while to figure out what it is they are up to.

Alex from Prize Claim Center called to say that I had won a Lincoln Navigator. Left a number for me to call back at. 1-800-743-4814. When attempted to call it back I got no answer. Of course I keep trying because I want to figure out where these people are located and who they are affiliated with since I have not entered any contests at all.

I also got a call from Alex. I am just gonna report this scam. It must be. We couldn't all have won a navigator. And one of these young ladies says they asked her to bring a credit card, that is never good. Same thing private number, claims number to call back 1800-743-4814

We received a call from Adam w/ prize claim center (1-800-743-4814) claiming that the Grand Sweepstake Giveway was over and we had won a Lincoln Nagiator please call the above referenced number in order to claim your prize.

First I thought what hoax, then I decided that I'd look up the phone number. That's how i got here. I guess I'll delete the message on my answering machine.

Same shpeel.......Megan from prize distribution center letting us know that the contest for the 2008 lincoln Navigator that we entered approx. 18 months ago was over and we are on the list for one of the top prizes and to call 1 800-743-4814 ext 8070 and ask for Megan
I haven't called back I dodn't remember entering a contest for a Lincoln but hey it was supposedly 18 months ago......for a 2008 model????hmmmmmmm
i guess i should start looking for the contest to get my 2010 model now then. i just don't know what they are gaining by these calls if all they get is your name and phone number, isn't that what they already have if they are calling you????

I received a call from Adam at this number but did not pick up the phone. It is from a Private # according to the caller ID. I am considering filing a report at the local Economic Claims office due to the fact that I never ever register for contests and I do not know how they got my information. I caution everyone as I think this is a scam.

Got a call 8-21-08 from Caller ID 865-329-7870, saying I had entered a contest and won the Grand Prize of a Lincoln Navigator and to call 1-800-743-4814.  I am on DO NOT CALL list also.  I know better than enter contests that give away FORD products, we would not be eligible as we have a Ford Connection.  Anyway, if you ever get pulled in make then send it in writing and absolutely nothing would be demanded from you if it is a true contest unless it would be taxes on winnings.

Still calling and scamming here in Tennessee. Just got the call about 7:00 pm with all the congrats on the winnings of the car & cash. Evidently, I won one too!!Goody,Goody! And to think, that today I just put my car in the shop for transmission repairs. How Lucky can you get. I guess I'll  be drivin' around in big gas gusseling Navigator..Ha Ha honk if you see me.

I was told though that I could go up to Williamsburg and once I reported to West Gate Resorts I could tell them I was not interested and I would still get a scratch off ticket to see if I won a 2008 Navigator, $2500 in cash, 7-night Florida/Bahama cruise or 32 inch Sharp TV.
