I called this 800-746-0421 today. I thought it was Facebook Support Line. RAVI SMITH Ext 5008 said he would help; me fix my friend request problem. He said I was hacked by over 2,000 people and my online checking account was in trouble. He said they were going to stop hackers for $199,00. It would take them 1 hr and he would call me back when done. I said I don't have the money. He said, OK you pay us in a couple months then and since they work for Facebook they will fix the computer at no charge since they already were in my computer. I called back from my bank about 3 hrs later. A woman with an India accent answered. I said is Mr. Smith there? She said,"Who?" I said,"Put Mark Zuckerburg on right now!" She said, "He is here with a client,I will get him." An India accent man said with a deep voice,"This is Mark Zuckerburg!" I said,"Mark Zuckerburg?" He said,"Yes this is Mark." I asked,"Mark Zuckerburg the owner of E-Bay?" He replied,"Yes this is Mark Zuckerburg the owner of E-Bay. How can I help you?" I said I need your private cell number to talk with you privately. Give me your number!" He said,"No you must call me at 800-413-3531. I said alright and hung up.
I had to change all my checking accounts and savings accounts at my bank. These terrorists are stealing from America. I will get my money from them for doing this to me and others. I want us to all get them. They are taking $200 from America, one person at a time. I want them to pay dearly and get the ring leader of their scam.

Same here. I called then because my accout was locked. Tried to explain everything but the costumer service just said "You can resolve your concern by emailing the department at support@facebook.net". I was like wtf?! He could have transfer me to that department he was saying. (He actually got the UK accent). Desperately i sent a message to the email address he gave me explaining and asking what happened, hoping that my issue will resolve but then email domain replied on me that there's no such email address. I was so hopeless and disappointed. Now i followed the FB walk through on how to access my account even sending them my 2 ID, 1 is my states ID and 2 is my company ID. But they just keep on saying that my account was hacked. Thats bull S***! Im so very sad right not because i've been using it for a couple of years now. So very disappointed with the there resulution center.

THIS IS A SCAM. Read about the your-PC-is-infected-corrupted scam here http://news.softpedia.com/news/Cold-Call-Tech ... on-150170.shtml They lie about your PC sending out malware, error messages, etc., and say your PC is about to crash to frighten you into giving them remote control of your PC to fix the nonexistent problem (don't let them!). If they ask you to open the systems tab in eventvwr.msc to see all the errors, these harmless errors are *normal* for any Windows PC (mine has several and it runs just fine). Don't let them take control of your PC because they can download *real* malware, possibly a malware suite, that can spam, steal bank logins and personal info, etc. If they've remoted into your PC, the safest fix is to re-format your drive and re-install your OS assuming you have clean backups of your data. You can try scanning with various antivirus software but scanning may not find all the malware. If you don't know how, get help from friends or pay a local shop to do it. THIS IS A SCAM.

Some stranger happened to me also. My Facebook webpage link was and still broken for over 2 wks. I called that number trusting they were FB support and let him to scan my computer. He said my facebook account was heyjacked from a Canadian user. I inmediately told him I will do as needed to stop it and he said "we can help you" but I exit the website asap. I changed my email address so whoever used it on Facebook wil be blocked.  I can not believe what he said, but it can be true?   How can I found out what happened with my Facebook webpage link?

I, too, called this number, thinking it was real FB support. The representative, Phillip Fox, told me my computer infected with Koobface. In my panic, I allowed him access to my computer and gave my birthdate. His solution was to sell me expensive anti-hacking software.  I felt pushed, so hung up and called my Apple support guy I trust. After running Sophos scan, which revealed no problelms, I am now wondering what I got myslef into by giving access and my birthdate.  DO NOT CALL!  NOT any help solving my FB problem-which I still have, BTW.

This number is claiming to be Facebook Tech support. After rattling off my story (A DEATH THREAT), they were no help but wanted my name and other info. I was hung up on several times. Whenever I would ask for a manager, they would hang up. One time I called and asked for a manager he said, "no!" I repeated back, "NO?" and he hung up. Another time I called a woman gave me another number for the managers. I called that and it was the same people! I believe these people are just out to gather your info or get your phone number for suture scam calls. DO NOT CALL THEM!!
