Received a message from this number with a reference # stating it was a debt collection agency. Seems very fishy since I am not delinquent with any of my debts. Will not be calling back as I have read that there are several "debt collection" scams. Beware....

I answered my friends phone and The lady who answered asked for my friend. I told the lady who had a very robotic voice that my friend was unavailable. Then the lady asked for another number luckily even before I read these posts I didn't give out any of her information, I did however tell them that it would be ok for them to call back at a later time. Right when I answered the phone the lady started talking. It wasn't until I asked who was speaking that she said anything and what she did say was that she had a personal phone call waiting for my friend on the other line. I immediately said goodbye because this has happened to me. And I didn't want my friend to get pulled in to the annoying phone calls. I actually saved the number in her contacts as "DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER" I don't think they've called her back ever since

These people have been blowing up my FAX number.  I guess they don't like talking to my fax machine.  Since they are performing illegal activities I decided to do a little payback.  Since I am a credit repair company and I do charge an hourly fee for phone calls, I decided to bill these people for my time I spent looking thru my missed calls on my fax machine.  Turns out they owe me quite a bit of money now.  I have sent them a bill and I am waiting for the results. I have printed out a phone record off my fax and I am gathering valueable evidence to take them to court.  Just thought I share.

This number has been traced back to a company called NCO Financial Systems, Inc.  They have violated the FDCPA on multiple times on many different levels. I would screen the calls and not return this particular phone call. They do not understand the rights the consumer has. But if you are going to return the call then dont say anything except to ask them to communicate via mail and to stop calling your home and place of employment.  They must stop all calls with you.  After they send you the first collection letter ask for verification of the debt.

They are trying to steal your credit card information. Beware !!!

I've been getting calls once a week for about a month from this number to my unlisted number.  I haven't answered and they haven't left a message.  Some of the previous posters think that this might be a debt collector.  I don't owe anything other than amounts on current bills so, if they claim to be debt collectors, they must be scammers.

calls everyday for several months. as in several calls EVERYDAY. finally left a message to please call back Ms. Smith regarding ref # blah blah blah. called back from pay phone(thanks for the tip!) they not only would not give me any info for the ref # THEY left but none about the company either. i told them this was a new number and they asked if i knew -insert random man's name here-and i said "yes". they asked if he lived at the address given and i said "no", they asked if i was married to him; etc. i kept saying no, they finally asked how i knew him and i said "He....looka like a man" burst out laughing and hung up. i strongly suggest this method of action. it accomplishes very little except to make the harrassed feel better. :-)

They call daily and can't even tell me where the original debt was from.  It has to be at least 10 years old since anything since then, I've paid on time and have no issues.  Ridiculous.

I did not answer the phone because I had the same Co. call about a year ago. I suggest everyone screen their calls if they do not recognize the phone number. Eventually the calls stopped. Oh, I work at a company who had offices behind NCO. I walked over to their offices and was told that is not how they work. They usually send out a letter.

Woman call looking for someone very with a different last name then mine.Then ask me if I WAS HER HUSBAND?Then when I CALL then back then said they were looking for someone else.If they going to lie at least keep the same lie of who their looking for.Collection agency.Don't you love none english speaking people.They said they were recording my conversation. This is the Pond Scum company called NCO.  I dealt with these morons years ago when I had problems. Now that I had cleaned everything up, I hoped to never hear from them again.  Now here they are calling me for location information on a relative.....

They left a message with the Reference ID. When I called back from a different phone, they said they had no record of that Reference ID but wanted to know what phone number they had called me at.  When I refused to give it, they said they could not help me.  

I have no debts that I'm aware of (no previous phone calls, no demand letters), and I've been very good at staying on top of all payments since I started working FT six months ago.  Not sure who they think they are calling, but I'm not interested.

NCO FINANCIAL is repeatly calling for someone that does not live here, They have been informed four times previous; yet they keep calling every day. Unlawful menacing by communication.  

Will report them to the Attorney General Office for follow-up.

If they have a claim against someone - they should commence a civil proceeding.
I am reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission for fraud.
