Company name is "Monitronics".   A fake monitoring system in association with "Platinum Protection", a door-to-door home security sales SCAM  from Provo, Utah area which sends salesmen/installer teams out to various cities all over the nation during the summer. They do not even have a license to do business in some states.  BBB has ordered them to cease and desist.  Consumer Reports magazine cautions to never do business with DTD's.  Plenty of other complaints found on Google.

I have already stated to them (the person who claims they are from monitoronics on behalf of xcel) that my  cell phone number doesnt go to the person that are trying to reach.  I have also asked them to remove me from the calling list..they still been calling it stating they have at least 7-10 days to do so even if I tell them to stop calling me. So far its been 1 day and 3 messages from 8 am to 11:30 am.

It is so annoying...I have already told them they must leave a message at her house.  She also screen her calls. I further stated to them that there is nothing I can do to force her to answer the phone so they ring the house anywhere from 15 min to 30 min to every hour on some days.  Other days its 1- 3 phone calls.

I also keep getting calls from this number. My friend put me down as an emergency contact without my permission, and first they called trying to get ahold of her. Today I got a call from a guy claming to be from the same company, but he had blocked the number and was extremely rude when I asked him to remove my number from their calling list. He said he would be calling me back every day until I tell my friend to call them back. I am reporting them for harassment.

I been getting called by this 1-800-756-7759 claiming they are from monitronics.  My mom installed a new security system in her house and listed my cell phone number  as a emergency contact only.  However they seem to call it once, twice, three or even 4 times a day for 2 days now.  However the number only shows in the caller id. It makes me wonder why the business name doesnt show up in the caller id.

The numbers do not match anything on the monitronics web page nor do they match anything to the new security system.  Or anything that was given to us by our installers.  I told her to contact xcel and see if they could verify for sure that this is the people that they use.  As I don't enjoy the daily calls and voice mails.  The message they leave on the voice mails on my cell phone go like this Uh, this is monitronics the alarm monitoring company with a non emergency call. Please call us back at 1-800-756-7759. For the number we have called for Call verification purposes. Again this is a non emergency call. Thank you.

They monitor alarm service for many security companies.  They handle mine through Irongate Security.  They just call to verify information given to them just in case there are any errors that will interupt prompt and accurate security service.  They asked no personal information, and gave me the info to say if it was correct or not.  No need to worry...

They call at all hours of the day and night and say they are calling from Monitronics Home Security and are asking if we are interested in a fire alarm system. They even asked if it was a home or business number they were calling. It sounded like they were calling from a call center from India or wherever. The number does not show up on my phone though- it always says unavailable unknown number.

I called my security system company - Platinum and they told me not to give out any information.  This is not their phone number and if they needed to test or call us they would call from their number (which they gave to me) it was not a toll free number.

This number kept showing up on my call display, but they would never leave a message.  I do use Monitronics home sercurity and recently had it installed.  Perhaps it's just a follow-up call?

Claims to be our home security company.  I would not confirm any personal data because it seems to me a security company should show their company name.  Isn't it the law?

I just had Monitronics installed 4 days ago.  While they called my cell phone and didn't say anything at all, and I think it is unprofessional to have a machine doing their calling for them when they are not available to answer their own calls, I think it is safe to say this number is Monitronics.  I was told I would get a call to see how things are working in a few days.

I got a call from monitronics and this is one of the numbers they use to call to verify information.  I actually missed the call and called them back.  I just had monitronics installed through spot security.  Ask your phone company about your caller id. for years my husbands cell phone and pretty much all incoming calls have a company name or personal name however it seems to be random now.  One day my husband number shows up with his name another day without his name.  Think about it if you have a company who monitors alarms calls all over the country if they only had one phone line how would they be able to do a good job.  With having so many numbers it is possible that is why the name does not show up. Your system is hooked up to theirs via your phone line. if your alarm is going off and they only have one line they can't call emergency personnel for you your alarm is tying it up. they are going to have thousands of lines which means thousands of numbers.  I work for a government agency and our number do not show up for security reasons.  we have 5 lines at our office each has different numbers,  If someone had all the security companies phone numbers they could cause alot of harm if they had a way to tie up every line all the companies had. alarm systems would not work and all the companies could not call for help.  Now every Home, businesses, hospital,  government offices, anyone who has an alarm system would now be ready to be broken into or damaged.  If you want them to stop calling the easiest solution is to answer the phone.  They haven't called me back since I called and spoke to them.

I got called at 2:10pm today by 1-800-756-7759.  There was nothing other on my caller id other than the phone number.  So I will not answer it unless its some one I recognize.  They tried calling my mom's house phone which does have an answering machiene.   They left this voicemail on my cell phone this is montonrics this is an non emergency call. This is for call verfication.  Please call us back at 1 800-756-7759.  Wonder why they would leave voice mail on a cell phone but not a home phone. Plus the phone number doesn't even match the one the alarm system company gave me or her.  So I think this is some one who is fishing for info.

Received call 800-756-7759 at 9:30 in the morning claiming to be my security company. I didn't answer but listened to the voice mail afterward. I called my security company on the number given to me when they installed the system. Their customer service department is closed on Saturdays.

This number called my home phone, followed by my cell phone, followed by my wife's cell phone.  We didn't answer it as we had no ID on who it was (thank you caller ID).  They left no message.
FYI- Monitronics phone number is 800-447-9239.  Whoever this is is phishing for information.

This number is not an alarm company. I have called my company, monitronics. They only verify personal information by mail, and have not called.  Furthermore, my friend got an alarm within the last week and they have not called her to "confirm" information. THis is a scam.

This number is actually a home security company.  If you have a security system with this company, they are usually calling to test their system with yours or this is the number they will call from if your alarm is going off.

Lady called from 800-756-7759.  Asked for my daughter.  I told her that this wasn't her phone - and I asked for her number so that my daughter could call her back.  She said she didn't have a call-in phone number and if she could have my daughter's number.  So I asked what she needed so I could relay the message.  She said that my daughter's account was not available to her, so she couldn't tell me - but she would like my daughter's phone number to call her.  I asked again why she was calling - and she didn't know.  She said she was from the Monitronix Security System.

They claim to be with our home seurity company.  If so, why isn't their name on the caller ID?  Isn't it a law?  I would not confirm any personal data.
