Received a call from a private number. I listened to the voice and it was a women who identified herself as "ASHLEY" with a law firm called Ritter & Associates". She explained to me that she was calling in behalf of another law firm about a bad check debt thru a bank I did have a account with at one time...I have never passed a bad check nor have I ever written a check. She explained that if I didnt given a call back to 1-800-756-9073 United Service Bureau of Mediation that I would be severd with a supeona at work or at my job by the end of today10/3/2013. I called the number and all I got was a voice mail telling me to leave my name and case number and someone would get back with me. I left my name and number and case number then I called back to leave the same info...then added my attorney's name and office number..What is it with these people?  anyone else get the same s***?

Tried to get them to send me info on the so called claim and wouldn't comply.  Called and spoke with a co worker and told them their sending out a summons at work.  Told them the story and the co worker said that was not her business and said it was common knowledge.  They want money but won't send anything to say they are legitimate.  In NV they can't harass at work.  It the law.

I recieved a voicemail message from a Sandy Michaels and the return number was 8007569073 but she was calling on behalf of a local law firm .Sandy Michaels called my daughter, mother in law and my job stating that i was being sued. They threatened that they were taking me to court and was going to serve a subpoena to me at my place of work. I called the number and they said they never heard of Sandy Michaels. However Bob Peters stated that I owed a payday loan for double the amount I owed and wanted my credit or debit card number. He said that would stop the bank from giving me a subpoena.

I recieved a voicemail message from a DON DAVIS and the return number was 8007569073 but he was calling on behalf of a local law firm  Ritter and Associate. I return the call and talked to a man named Kenneth Morgan who indeed sound like the DON DAVIS person. He said I had a bad check from a credit union in which I dont right checks but then said it was a ACH transaction and the funds wasnt there so I will be recieving a supeona to appear in court or I can settle out of court for 150 dollars a month until the debt was paid for. When I mention I would hire my own attorney he quickly talked about it being unnecessary and would cost me more than what I owe. Bottom line is what collection agency calls and threatens your job and tells your business if any. very skectchy

Follow up to my earlier posting.  I called the number and received a call back.  It is a legitimate number for an arbitration firm.  They have two attorneys, neither of whom is the Kevin Carlson who left me a message.  They never heard of the guy.

They left a message at my work, stating they were a law firm in the county where I live.  They called at 2:17 p.m.  Claimed to be attorney Kevin Carlson and would be serving me at work before 5 pm or first thing in the morning at work to service a summons and complaint for a bank that I do not have an account with.  He did quote the last four digits of my social security number.  When he stated the bank, I knew it was a scam.  He stated the bank was requesting a verbal statement from my brother (who they called) and my office manager.  He left this phone number, stating that if I wanted to be served at my residence, he could file a modification certificate and have it changed.  Very fast talker.  I am participating in a debt restructuring program and I know this is one of the debts that is still refusing to negotiate.  I had an account with that bank for 20 years.  They know how to reach me if they wanted to.

I HAD THIS NUMBER CALL ME AND SAY THEY ARE SUEING ME AND THE LAWYERS NAME WAS KEITH MORGAN WHICH ISNT BASED IN HOUSTON BUT HE SAID HE WAS. HE HUNG UP ON ME AFTER TRYING TO MAKE HALF THE PAYMENT AND UNABLE TO REACH HIM TODAY BUT THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO SERVE ME AT WORK AND FREEZE MY BANKING ACCT. IS THIS TRUE BECAUSE I TALKED TO A LAWYER AND WAS TOLD THAT COULDNT BE DONE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS? AND THEY SAID IT WAS FOR A BAD CHECK THEN SAID IT WAS FOR A LOAN I TOOK OUT OVER A YEAR AGO.

Threatening to serve me at work or my home I am so tired of them calling me I just let them call I dont answer anymore tired of being harrassed

Did anything come of this?  Did they actually try to serve anyone?  I'm being called and threatened today and they have my boss' name and everything and I have no idea what they're talking about.  Say they're serving me at work tomorrow at 1 p.m.  They gave me some lawyers office and I tried calling there but couldn't get any clear answers.

Called from a blocked number.  Left a voice mail saying they are a law firm.  The lady was speaking 7 shades of gibberish when she said the name of the company but it sounded like ross or roth & associates.  Said that they were going to serve a subpoena at home and work for a bad check (which I dont have)  Left this number as a call back and said that call needed to be returned asap.

Received a call from this number and they left a message. Message stated they were trying to collect on a bad check from my credit union. I do not have any bad checks with my credit union and told them this. They threatened that they were taking me to court and was going to serve a subpoena to me at my place of work and home if I did not pay them over $1000.00. They stated they were a law firm located in the county that I live in but are really based in New York. These people are debt collectors!!!!! The debt they were trying to collect on is not mine and when I asked them for information about their company so I could have my attorney talk to them they hung up.

I was referred to these people from legalmatch.com to help with a person injury case. They were professional and I received all the help I needed.
