Only if you notify them and allow them time to remove your number and discontinue - then you have grounds to file complaint.

Look up the FDCPA, these are rules specifically for collectors, look it up and learn something besides sitting at home complaining...

Just becuase it's a cell phone, doesn't mean collectors can't call it. You can report it all you want, but it doesn't matter. You need to send in a Cease and Disist letter, and at that point they can't call. The thing about your bill is false, you pick up the phone there-by using your own minutes...

The closer you get to paying off, the worse they get with the calls. They are just hoping at this point that you can't pay and they can come get the vehicle. They call me every 15 minutes or so and I am not even a week late yet.

This is a horrible lender.  They will nag the crap out of you.  At 10days they start threatening you with repossession on car loans.

Not only with they call your house/cell phone, but any other data they can find.  Relatives, friends, and such.  I know I get a call from my aunt the first day it is past due.  Can you believe that they call other people about my personal stuff first before harassing me.

It doesn't bother me that they call every day every 30 mins.  I just put my phone on silent, or get a ring I really like listening to =)

If you are being called by these people and you use a cell phone, and you pick up to talk to them.  Do what my friend does.  He says, "You are calling my cell phone which I pay minutes for.  You are calling someone that does not own or use this line.  If you do not stop calling this line, I will not only turn you over to the attorney general, the FCC, and then you can pay my cell bill since you are intent on using up all my damn minutes.  If it doesn't stop then, I was will sue you for the payment in full for charges incurred on my cell."  That usually gets them right then and there and they stop calling.  I would also go ahead and send a hard copy of the complaint to the FCC and Attorney General and the Chase Bank out of spite.

Telemarketers and wrong numbers for debt collection should be illegal its like coming into my house unwelcome or trying to sell me stuff when I have a no soliciting sign up.

They're calling my work line from this number when I have already setup a post dated payment. This has gotta be the worst lender to EVER deal with.

Yes, you do!

They are IN violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) of 1991:

A ban on autodialers and artificial or prerecorded voice messages programmed to call any emergency phone lines (including 911 numbers, hospital emergency lines, physicians or medical service lines, health care facilities, poison control centers, fire protection or law enforcement agencies), pagers or cellular phones, or a call for which a charge is made to the calling party.

In the event of a violation of the TCPA, individuals are entitled to collect damages directly from a solicitor for $500 to $1,500 for each violation, or recover actual monetary loss, whichever is higher.

Yep it's Chase that calls, we don't even have anything to do with them and they keep calling. I called back and told her to stop the calls, the people they have on file they're trying to reach don't even live here. They call us about 20 times a day...not kidding..it's sooo annoying and I don't know what to do anymore! Is there something I can do if they keep calling?
