The numbers "Explore Talent" gave me recently are: 1-800-888-0999 and 1-800-933-2200. The scam continues and I am another "sucker!" Doubt I ever get my money back (119.94), but I can contact places/people to report them.

A lot of people have fallen for this scam too. Including me. I feel stupid but learned my lesson well! They should be ashamed but they're not.

This "company" called me out of nowhere around Memorial Day weekend. I remember because I was standing outside and we were bbqing in the front yard (and my brother kept asking who the heck I was talking to). I was dumb enough at the time that I gave a bit of personal info, birthdate, email address, things like that. Now, 4-5 months later, this guy under the alias "Jake Brown," from what I could understand of his horrible English, wants me to call him for auditions at 866-611-8672. Needless to say...
I"M GOOD.
I don't know how these creeps got my number in the first place. I'm usually extremely careful not to post my phone number on websites, even linking to my e-mail address, I just skip the "add phone number" forms. I don't use Facebook, and I didn't get calls like these until I got a pay-as-you-go phone. I wonder if getting this new phone has anything to do with it... those new phone specialists had an awkwardly suspicious accent as well... j/k I'm sure they're great people. As long as they aren't handing out my phone number willy-nilly!
I also transferred my phone number from a major cell phone service as well, if that helps anyone eliminate causes as to why we all are getting these calls.
A word of advice... always have a junk e-mail account for people and things like these. And pretend you have **** brown eyes! Lol

i got a call earlier today from a guy named marvin stating that he was the creative director of explore talent. he said that some people like "my look" and that there were some auditions he wanted me to go to but that i had to pay so much money to upgrade my acount so that casting directors can view my website. i had my mom talk to the guy because i couldn't really understand what he was saying, it sounded like he was talking too close to the phone. well me and my mom were sceptical about it beings as we had to pay a bunch of money. so we looked it up on the internet and everything that i've seen so far confirms that it was a scam! but i didn't get a 1 800 number like the rest of you... weird.

A lady named Shirley called me and said my son was one of 10 out of 500 selected for this agency. They wanted me to give them my credit card over the phone so they could activate my profile and send me 20 auditions a month for my son. I was concerned because the phone line was breaking up and everyone I spoke to sounded like they were from India. I asked where they were located and they told me Hollywood! SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meg 2011-06-06 20:58:22 Unknown
A man named Robert Davis called for my mother about my profile and said he was from a Hollywood talent agency. He had a heavy accent. I found information saying it was a Nigerian scam.

NEW NUMBER!
They called me from 800-763-8517!
Same thing - 'Creative Director' called to say they had auditions for me.
Then they began to talk about business cards and my own website. Asked me why I wanted to do this. Told me $$ needed to be the #1 reason!! I then got to talk to the 'Creative Director's' superior (um sure, that's they way it works - NOT!)Who went on and on telling me how he didn't have time to go into details (a 20-minute call from someone who doesn't have time????) and that I would receive 30,000 or some such ridiculous number of auditions per month. And guess what? I'd get preference because I had business cards and a Talent Advisor.
Silly silly silly. I didn't even wait for the sales pitch. I was having a hard time not laughing! Couldn't even understand what those men were trying to say! Oh, and my eyes- they told me my eyes are brown when they're blue!
Plus they kept calling me by my last name, or 'Annie'. I am NOT 'Annie'!
Thank you for posting here, because I got a feeling when the call started and Googled the 'agency'. Got this site!!

i just got the same phone call.. but this time it was for a guy named joesph. Im so glad I was smart enouph to google the name when i herd it.. i saw this site n hung up. I to was also talking to the supposed top guy at the time. I was almost taken once before by another company trying to do the same thing to me so this time instead of falling then looking it up afterwords I did the smart thing first. I hope that there are more people out there who also do the smart thing first.

I've called just about all of the numbers on here. It seem that Explore Talent maybe trying to be legit. 1800-763-8517 x 5022, 1800-598-7500, yes and even 1323-785-2010. I've called the still say that they are located in Hollywood, but operate NATIONWIDE!!! Clean it up. Everyone who made notations on this website should also file with the Better Business, who will diffently keep tabs and investigate. But in has to be more than one complaint going in.

About five minutes ago a guy called me ......woke me up mind you to tell me he found my profile and he wants to send it to a casting company for a movie and something else. sounded Indian and claimed if i payed him 200 dollars he would send me business cards or something. i have to admit he did a good job convincing me but it sounded to good to be true so i google-d it .....sure as s**t all these girls pop up with the same story. People suck.
the number was (866) 611-8672. Dont answer I cant believe I almost fell for the same thing.

My cell phone said 5583 and the caller said his name was Samuel (no last name, though I did ask) with "Explode Talent" calling for my husband. It's funny how they got his nickname but kept saying that they would like it if "SHE" would call back. When I asked if they could call back on Monday the man said no and for me to take down the number. The guy sounded Indian. This really makes me angry. The number they gave me was 1-800-763-8515.

mom 2011-06-06 20:58:22 Unknown
got a call today for my son. it is definitely a scam. I work for agencies and this is not how it works. The lady with a very think accent, Carolyn Jones, lol, said it was urgent that he call back right away for this job which she wouldn't specify. I'm not surprised that they asked others for money. She says she was a creative director for Explode Talent and represented 6,000 casting directors...LOL.

I rec'd a telephone mssg yesterday from Anthony, the Creative Director of Explorer Talent, Hollywood, California (or as I refer to them....Exploited Talent...hehehe). He left his call back number as 323-7825-2000 x3008. Beware!
Jerry 2011-06-06 20:58:22 Unknown
Same thing today on my cellphone. FIrst 'John Paul' the creative director who sounded Pakistani followed by the senior something or other. I let them go on and on for 30 minutes, till they finally said, 'now there is a small investment' and I just busted out laughing and hung up. Hate to admit I got scammed for 1000 dollars back during the 80's so I'm wiser. I cant believe based on the postings here, that they have been doing this and getting away with it for almost 3 years?? Its always "entertainment industry" stuff because they know people suddenly lose their common sense and think with their emotions.
jd 2011-06-06 20:58:22 Unknown
I got the same call from some eric guy with an accent and said I had planty of auditions lined up and he was asking for money to start my own site .... its a scam
Vicky 2011-06-06 20:58:22 Unknown
I just got a call from this same number. He told me that they wanted to audition me for a feature film produced by Ashton Kutcher's company. This is a complete scam. No reputable agency would call random people for jobs like this. Especially, if they do not know the acting capacities of the person they are calling. Do not fall for this scam. He said his name was Patrick Morris. He had an accent which obviously does not match the name. Be careful out there people. Fortunately, I did not pick up the phone. I just got a pathetic voice message that I could barely understand. It seemed rehearsed too.
