They've also called themselves "Specialty Medical Sales" rather than ADT representatives ... highly suspect I'd say! Changing from one generic name to another and one variation of a scam to the next!

Yea, these moron's tried ringing my number too! Trouble is I already had this number blocked!!! Thank God for services like Google Voice.

From what's in these posts it looks like little Tommy from Home Protection, the home security system scam, is back! No connection at all really to ADT!!! Also looks like they resorted back to using 800 numbers too!!! LOL they must have run out of all the ithers they could spoof!

Like many here have said this is a scam!!! Report it and block it!!! Don't pick up and answer, don't try calling back, pressing any number. That's how these a-holes confirm they have a live working number and will call more and mire frequently and your number will be placed on a suckers list and shared with other scammers!

RED FLAGS:
? Unknown number (including 800 numbers) calling
? Caller ID spoofing used
? Robo-dialers/ predictive dialers used
? Blatantly calls numbers on the do not call list (remember these are criminals, they don't care about any laws and will willingly break them)
? Use pressing a number (claiming they will take your ph # off a non existent no call list) to verify they have reached a working number and call you more often
? Known to use cell phones and/or VOIP services to make their criminal scam calls
? They are also connected to the Card Services, Utility Rate Reduction and other scams
? Their carrier is Pacific Telecom
? Use offshore boiler rooms/call centers
These are but some of the tell-tale signs that these less than one celled ameba like entities employ. ALL RED FLAGS!!!

What these a-holes are after is your personal info and even your sic. security number ... possibly to steal your identity!!! They don't offer any real home alarm system!!!

keep calling us at 8:50am, 6:54pm, 7:25pm, 7:55pm, 8:26pm, 8:29pm. the number is not currently in service, can't not find the info.

Already received the call at least 3 times.  Call and ring and hang up ?????

This is not a real business, just a scam making a fraction of a penny for using caller id.

Nobody cares if you buy the product they're pretending to sell, just that caller id appears on your phone.

None of these numbers are real, they are spoofed numbers which can be made up of old or non existing numbers.

Nothing can be traced. The ONLY way for this to stop is to have the FCC get a warren to have whoever is providing the spoof numbers, report who is using them. It will take a long time to get a judge to provide a warrant.

SO PLEASE, report all the numbers to the FCC, through the Do Not Call Registry, it's the only way and will take a long time.

The only other way is to do what I've had to do - Take your phone off the hook.

I received 4 calls today from this organization. No messages left but I can see from the other commenters on this site that it may be a SCAM. I have caller ID and am on the DO NOT CALL list. Still, they are annoying as they call very often and never leave a message. I'm going to answer next time I'm in the mood and begin with DO NOT CALL HERE EVER AGAIN!!

Just asking.....but I would guess that you are all CHARTER phone clients.  90% of the b.s. calls I get are from Charter "sister corporations."  Because they are connected companies....they don't have to sale the client base.  they are essentially harrassing their own clients.....thru sister companies.

ADT called. They are not in compliance with the DO NOT CALL list we are on!
Here in TX the Private Security Board a dept with the TEXAS Dept. of Public Safety grants a license to alarm companies.......think I will file a complaint against their license!

I received a telemarketing phone call at 8:00 this morning, so I called ADT customer service at 800.521.0749 and was promised that my number would be added to their do not call list

Said they were from ADT. Selling security systems. Did not seem to care I was on a do not call list.
The do not call register is totally worthless. I file complaints daily from telemarketers who call me daily, over and over. The registry does nothing.

I've received at least two calls a day from this number (with some BS explanation about ADT Home Security).  I've told them to stop calling me.  I've put them on my blocked list.  I would love to get one of their phone numbers and call them all day and hang up as soon as they pick up - preferably very early in the morning or very late at night.

Just got a call from this number.  Asked for Mr. or Mrs. "Last Name."  He gave his name, and said that he represented ADT, I asked if it's the same as "American District Telegraph," the old name of ADT, he replied yes.....

I told him not interested and he hung up.

I am on the Do Not Call List.  Worthless government entity.

Claimed to be ADT, I advised I was on Do Not Call List, told me my phone company sold him my number so it was legal. Filed a complaint. Gr

claimscams claims to be from ADT but have gotten several security calls today from different #'s. This is not ADT's number.

Arrived home today to 1 msg. on my machine in which the caller simply spoke my name, then hung up. Only 1 call so far, but if there are more, I'll file a complaint. I, too, am on the national do not call list.

This number calls at least 4-5 time a day.  I have caller id so I ignore answering.  Who are they and how can I get rid of them?

A person who said his name was Travis called me from this number, knowing my name and my address, offering me a home security system "so that no one breaks into your home". As I inquired how he knew my name and address, he simply replied: "Because I have a security system to sell you so that no one breaks into your home". What is this? It sounded like a threat to me. I said don't call again, he sounded annoyed and said I don't care, and hung up.

This company is the reason we had to resubscribe to the Do Not Call list. Calls earlish in the morning, asks for the home owner and just hangs up.

Received call and spoke to telemarketer who said they were from ADT Security and contacting home owners in the area. I am on the do not call list and informed them of this, I also filled a complaint.

I receive at least 15 calls a day from this number. They've ranged from 7:58 a.m. to 9:02 pm every day for the past two weeks. I have to turn off my ringers constantly to avoid being disturbed. My phone service doesn't let me block numbers. Any suggestions? Who are these idiots?
