I get to work on a Monday morning and received a voicemall call from Warren Whitehead to return his call at 18007735322 ext 207. Apparently he didn't want me to know where he was calling from because he didn't mention the company's name he was calling from. I don't appreciate him call me at my place of employment and don't know how he get this number. So, just reading the other complaints, I see that this number is a scam. Glad I research before I called back.

These people are so stupid, there is no such thing as a "debtors" prison.  You cannot be arrested or anything like that for a bad debt.  You can be charged a Judgement on your credit and wages garnished in a civil trial but that's it.  These people are idiots to think they can use jail as a measure of threatening or scaring someone into paying.  Our country is in a "depression" right now, I think collection agencies should get a grip and leave us alone.

These people are outright fraudulent and I'm amazed they're still in business. I've been completely ignoring them because they're a complete joke, but I think I'll start pursuing this further now with complaints.

Do not take their call, do not call them back, and report them immediately.

Same here,  trying to tell me that I owe for back rent on a cello my son rented through the school and returned to the school 10 years ago..... never heard a word from the Rettig music company the school uses  for 10 years on any back rent and now some guy calls telling me inappropriate things about my children,  I told him to F off i wasn't paying and I would not validate his claim that I owe him anything.    I refuse to talk to him  he's rude and i told him to call my lawyer.  Then he waits for months with no further calls and starts all over again.   There is no back rent  or the school and music would have contacted me ten years ago.  I will go to court before I pay him a dime.    Not to mention I filed bankruptcy last year  so he missed out!   Contact the courts buddy if you think I owe you 150 bucks cause I will not pay it to you!   Prove I owe back rent that I dont' owe 10 years later......with no prior contact til now!

Mr. Rooselvet Johnson is calling relatives or so they think and leaving messages on answering machines acting like they have people down as a reference and need that person to call such lying deceitful people!!!!

I returned the call to this company in an attempt to inform them that they were "skip-tracing" to a number that is incorrect. Further, that they were not going to be able to to contact their 'client' at my number. It would be an understatement to say that ATTITUDE flowed forth from their end of the line. I was informed that "... I have a job to do..." AND "... we can't both speak at the same time." AND "... Don't curse at me!" More than likely the latter statement is used frequently because it was spoken even though there was no 'cursing' (from either end of the line). While I was trying to help them do their job, I was put on hold - several times - for inordinate lengths of time. Finally the requested supervisor came to the line and, following a brief troubleshoot of information, informed that they had dialed the wrong number. I thought that this was near hilarious 'cause that was the reason for my original attempt to help. Though they seem to have been in business for more than ten years, it is clear that they do not achieve their results with honey.

Well let me start of by saying that I guess when they didnt get me with their scam the first time they came up with another idea to try and scare me. So I got a call yesterday saying that I had rented an instrument and never returned it know this was back in 2008 so he said and that the company has hired them to collect the debt for them in the amount of 1600 plus so he said finance charges of 170.00 that had to be paid today and they could work with me on the 1600 over the next 15 months to pay off the balance and every month they would send me a "letter" to show what the balance is and what I paid "whatever". For a minute I was like will if you are saying that I owe for this instrument then I will contact the company directly and "work something" out with them to pay off this supposedly balance. He then went on to tell me that they didn't want to work with me and wanted them to handle it all. So I was like ok and went on to take the information from them while the whole time I was looking them up online and low and behold the same customer service rep that I'm on the phone with was listed on another person complaint with the same number and extension to contact him directly. all he kept saying was this conversation is being recorded "whatever". He was like we are going to start taking payments from your account and if the funds are not there they will go ahead and close out the case and turn the paper work over to the sheriffs department to have me arrested at my job like that is a threat saying my job instead of my home for fraud.  These guys are a bunch of jerks and dont have anything else better to do. But all I asking is they leave me alone and find someone else to pick on. Oh yes I had my account closed when I hung up with them for safety purposes.

These people are a trip.  They call my mother and try to intimidate her (she is elderly along with my dad),  and what makes me mad about this is if he would just send me verification of the debt and it is legit I would have already paid it.......

This guy named "Mark Neumann" or Mark Newman called my mother in law looking for MY dad.  She's not even related !!  He said my dad has a "claim" in his office and gave the 1800 number.   i recognized it from some scam collections that called the former owner of our phone #, and sure enough.

Apparenly this company has never been FDCPA ceritifed and I believe they still aren't. Don't quote me on this but if you get enough people complaining to the SA of Florida about this company have having FDCPA guidelines or following them, they could be shut down.

You cannot be arrested for owing a debt. If you wrote a check and that BOUNCED, then yes, you can get arrested for check fraud or a worthless check count. However, just a simple owing a debt -- no, you have to go to civil court. The police don't "show up at your door" to arrest you because you owed $60 bucks or something on a musical instrument. You clearly do not own a music rental company, because you would know all this already, and it's quite comical you're giving a "I laugh my a** off hen I get a call begging for me to drop the charges."....sure, maybe a lawsuit, but you're not having people arrested because you CANT.

Got a voice mail from these guys. They sound like debt collectors. They were looking for an individual named Moniqua? Please call her and don't bother other individuals with the bad information you purchase from people like Lexix-Nexis or other debt services.

Well ,maybe you should call them & ask what it's for. I don't understand why people post stuff like this & don't try to resolve the issue, for all you know it could be a wrong # & they'll never know because you didn't call back! Unbelievable

Actually Lexis-nexis is a search program, and even if their information is inaccurate (which it is sometimes) it doesn't mean they've purchased any debt. Allen Lewis is 3rd party collections, they don't buy debt they just collect old debts. That are legitimate, and unless you have paperwork proving you resolved it, you're gonna owe the bill. This applies to all collection agencies. Regardless, it's a legitimate company. They've had some pretty scumbag tactics in the past but they are up to code now from what I've heard.

Called looking for my son (a minor child) - very nasty - the callers name was Roosevelt Johnson and he refused to tell me what company he is from or what the call was about. He wanted my son or his attorney to call him back.

JW Lomax called asking for myself or my attorney, left messages with my children. I returned the call, they were very rude to me and wouldnt even actually speak with me, just said I owe money for a violin from 7 yrs ago. I said no that was returned to the school, he said "No STUPID it wasnt" "What STUPID person would return it to the school" I said um that is where the violin was returned to. He yelled at me and said I was going to jail and hung up. I thought about for about 15 minutes and realized that the bow was damaged when it was returned, thinking maybe that was what I owe for and called back. I asked him not to yell or call me names and explained the above. He then told me "I was STUPID and needed to pay for being an idiot" then said "I wouldnt let you pay this if you wanted to". Not once did he say I appoligize for this information do you have a copy of the return or say without this you owe xxxamount of money. What is the saying you get more flies with honey????? I wish they would go to court, would love to face them!!!!!!

some automated voice keeps leaving me messages that this has been a documented attempt to contact me and myself or my attorney should contact them promtly, it is in my best interest to contact them at 1-800-773-5322. and then at the end of the call says...we wish you luck.

Allen Lewis and Associates doesn't have an automated phone recording. It was someone who asked for you. Maybe you should respond when they call and not just hang up like the debtors you are. Maybe you should call them back if they butcher your name.

Very rude guy from this company keeps calling and threatening to only hold the account for 24 hours.  Called back and explained that I returned the instrument to the company and have a receipt in hand to prove it.  He said I was a liar and that I owed over $600.00!!  I said no I do not owe that money.  He said you have two minutes, that's it to make a payment to me or we will sue and you will go to jail for theft!  I said listen I have a receipt, send me valadation of this debt, and I will send you a copy of the receipt to prove it is paid for!  He then said you have two minutes or you are going to jail and then hung up!  What an a**hole!!!  What kind of idiot won't listen to the fact that I have a receipt in hand!!!  I shouldn't expect that an idiot like him, stuck in a dead end, shi**y, low paying job should be any smarter though!!!

Y'know madre, 9 times out of 10 people who say they have a receipt should fax that proof to the people calling them. If you can't do that then you don't have proof. I love it when people cry about validation of debt. The majority of people who get these letters toss them in the garbage anyway. I've even seen people sent certified letters only to not accept them and claim they never got anything. Even though it says refusal to accept on the validation receipt sent back to the company. If you don't at least fax them proof and it ends up on your credit then you have to deal with that. Going through the hassle of contacting the credit beureau to have it removed, only if the agency decides not to validate the debt, in most cases if it is a valid debt they will validate it. and if you can't prove otherwise then you're fubar'd

You don't get arrested when you don't bring a video back to a video store. You get charged the full price for the video and then you own it. You don't work for a music rental company, don't lie to people. Besides any idiot with financial knowledge knows that the mark up on instruments and the fees and interest rates charged are rip offs anyway. Anyone who doesn't buy the instrument right out and doesn't read the fine print, I will agree deserves the s****y time they receive afterwards. Anybody posting on here defending collections is obviously working for the company or a similar one.

Well let me tell of you you people whining, your all deadbeats. I happen to own a music rental company and every one of you deadbeats deserve worse. You deserve to be arrested. You are in fact commiting theft when you do not pay for or return the rental property. The collection company cannot have you arrested but the rental company sure can, and when the collection company cannot collect, thats the next step. Its one phone call and some paperwork. The police are bound to investigate it, and at that point certified mail has been sent already. Sure enough when the police show up at your door your going to say I did'nt know, Im so sorry. Which is a crock. I laugh my @ off when I get that call begging for me to drop the charges.
I make every attempt to contact and retrieve my property before doing this.

These people are RUDE! I understand that being a debt collector is not the best job in the world, but give me a break. A Warren whitehead ext207 calls everyone on my refrence list bugging important phone matter it's a damn instrument get a hold of urself stop harrassing. I am aware of the situation but seriously calling as an attorney lawyer wanting to serve me papers for court. All he is doing is making people annoyed to the point of no response back this office is a joke nit even a law office it's a collection department.
