I received the same phone call and called Bank of America home loans. They transferred me to the the loan officer who left me the message. They were calling me to advise me of my Draw End Date. I didi verify it was infact BofA. 800-781-4104 and 800-850-7655. All corporate employees have 7 digit ext at the bank, but in the banking center locations they do not. If you have a Home Equity Line of Credit or Equity Loan that is ending with in the next few years, then expect a call form a Home Equity specialist from Bank of America. They were very helpful it letting me know what options I had availble to me.

I got the same call also... they did ask for me to verify some information and I did.  Then they told me that I could get a new line of credit for free since my old one was going to be expiring soon.

I just got the same call, Steve Nolan when I called back.  Sorry I gave him my cell phone to call me.  He was also calling from BOA.  My loan does not expire until 2015 & I can't believe they are proactively renewing me.....

I have gotten numerous calls from this number over the past 2 weeks identifying the caller as "Steven Foster, with Bank of America Home Loans.  This is not a sales call, and it is important that you call us back".  Then he gives his hours, along with an extension that is 7 numbers long.  I have a BOA home equity loan that is about to expire as interest only, but I have been notified via mail as well as online when doing my online banking.  What is odd is that sometimes the caller ID shows this 800 number, and sometimes it only says "out of area", which is suspicious to me.  I also read other peoples posts that guessed this might be fraudulent, though one other said it was legit.  So I called BOA at the number shown on their website for home loans, and the person I spoke with said she didn't think it was legit because their extensions were never that long.  Mr Foster sounds like a legit caller, but other posts indicated he asked for personal information, which frankly, after 10 years w/ this loan, if BOA didn't already have the information they need, someone really dropped the ball a long time ago.

We received a suspicious call from a gentleman claiming to be from Bank of America and wanting to confirm personal information associated with our home equity loan. Pretty sure it was fraudulent.
