These scammers are not a legitimate company. I have no connection with Citibank, Macy's, etc. They obviously just want ur personal information so they can do identity theft. Just google their number and you'll see endless complaints. Caller ID says 800 Service (that's a clue).

You people do realize that these forums and the subsequent threads are not monitored by the companies such as Macy's do you not? You should stop posting here telling them that they will be sued or that their calls will be handled by an attorney, because they will never see those warnings/threats. Those of you saying that this number is owned by a scam company, get your facts straight before you call it a scam, it is not a scam, it is simply horrible PR training. It is painfully obvious that the parent organization does NOT perform any form of PR training for their representatives. Those of you saying that the number is false, it is not, it is very easy to have five or six or even more "out-call" numbers that are chosen at random (or not, depending on your setup) when the reps dial out. Another thing to those of you threatening to sue or let the calls be handled by attorneys, I have 3 words for you: "Report to FCC." The huge influx of calls from them does NOT border along the lines of harassment, it IS blatant and unadulterated harassment and should be reported. The Federal Communications Commission is there to stop this sort of thing from happening, but they can only do so if you report it. If you do not live in the United States and are not covered by the FCC's umbrella, do some research and find out what your country's equivalent to the FCC is, report it to them, if the FCC and other country's equivalents get enough reports of Macy's harassment, they will shut Macy's down.

I don't owe you any money. Quit calling numerous times a day.
JP 2013-07-31 22:18:18 Unknown
Listen It clear a lot of us own the money. After 20 years I owe $400.00 they call me at least 20 x a day . They are calling me from at least 30 different numbers all hours of the day and night . I do not even understand one word they are saying .
I think we all and there must be thousands of us go to macy's protest as well I am going to leave a request to get to the president and the board . Lets stop them .
They are out of control .

Simply forward your calls to the Ohio State Attorney General's office. When they see that they are getting 15 calls a day from these shysters they will shut them down.

I'm tired of having my phone ringing by this number. I can't even use it my myself. When I'm in the phone there's the sound telling me I have another phone, so I have to put my call on hold. And when I answer they hang up.

This company calls constantly even after a bankruptcy filing. If it does not stop I will have it reported as harrassment.

Macy's collection is in Ohio. If the call is not from that area code, it's not them.
n 2012-08-25 13:25:22 Unknown
This number has called 3x a day including weekends for 3 weeks straight. No one in the household has or ever had a Macy's account. We do not answer 800# calls.
Cal Girl 2012-08-05 19:29:27 Unknown
Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of NYC owns a large percentage of Macy's stock. Please contact his office with these complaints----& while we're at it----why not send hard-copies of these complaint sites attached to the letter. This is only one site---there's another one with these Macy numbers on it that have 21 pages or more of complaints.
. I don't owe Macy's anything, in fact I overpaid a recent installment on my less-than-$100 balance & they issued a check back to me for the overage--even though I said to "let it ride." They said it was against policy. So, why all these calls 24-7, 5-6 times per day? Must be a scam. To my mind, even if this "off-shore" collection agency was hired by Macy's for real----they must be trying to get a little "something on the side" if they are asking personnal info, like for SSN & so on.....they MUST be taking adantage of having access to all of Macy's credit files.
Sandi 2012-05-31 01:18:49 Unknown
I don't have and never have had a macy's card. I don't even think I have been to a Macy's store EVER! So why are they calling me?
Karen 2012-05-01 00:55:23 Debt Collector
I get 6 calls a day from Macy's. No more and no less. It's fun watching the different ways they try so hard to get a hold of someone who has no intention of answering their calls. These guys crack me up!
Flavia 2012-04-30 21:08:29 Unknown
Annoying calls
Jeff 2012-04-26 22:48:18 Unknown
How sad for Macy's. They call 6 or 7 times a day but I am only home between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM So I miss all their calls.

Constant calls from 1-800-782-7756; previously 1-800-511-3207.
Finally got a message: "Hello. We would like to speak to you about your Macy?s credit card bill. Please call Macy?s customer service at 1-800-782-7756."
This is the absolute truth: these guys ARE NOT MACY'S. They are scammers who are desperate to steal your info & will resort to fear to force it out of you. The ONLY number for Macy's is 1-877-493-9207. Call them if you need to but do not pick up the phone for these fools.

Here is how I do it. I have a prepaid cell phone that I keep in the car for emergencies. I have the ringer turned off and no ability to receive messages. I forward all unknown calls to the cell phone and then at the end of the day I check the calls that have come in on the computer. I only have to see their calls once a day and it makes me kind of happy knowing how hard they try. So all the attempts and multiple calls of harassement don't get thru. They waste their time and once again I find that amusing. They will never get a dime of my money and these corporate killers don't get paid by me.
Patrick 2012-04-10 02:03:18 Unknown
Macy's believes if they harass me I will respond. Any company that harasses me gets ignored. Just because I can't pay a bill due to my now being disabled they believe it is their right to try and make my daily life miserable. Since it has already being reported about this number the fact that they are rude and intimidating on the phone of course I will not answer. Maybe if their rep was not so ugly people might oblige them. I am on SSD/SSI so any attempt by Macy's or any subsequent debt purchaser will result in nothing. They can't touch SSD/SSI bank deposits so even with a court order they lose. My money is safe and they are out over $2000. Maybe if they learn how to treat people they may get cooperation. Since they hire rude vultures they get squat. I don't feel bad in fact I get quite a kick seeing the 7 or 8 calls that I never hear ring at the end of the day. Keep trying boys, keep trying. What kind of person chooses debt collection as a career? Here are the last 4 so you can get pissed off and try harder. 3303

I have been receiving the same harrassing calls as others have reported. How can this be stopped. Isn't there a special hell for people/corporations like this?
Harassment 2012-04-02 16:01:04 Debt Collector
They're a collection agency. They harass my 84 year old grandmother. She paid off her macys account but macys turned her information over to that collection agency. It really should be against the law to be totally harass like this. They even sent a letter for shipping overnight. No morals left in these companies. Just make money off of other people's misery.

How do i stop these calls
bob 2012-02-15 23:02:27 Unknown
If it's Macy's, it's not always about collections. My Macy's card has a zero balance. It's a relatively new card (about 5-6 months old) and has never had a balance over 30 days. I don't answer the phone and they don't leave a message. I'm looking forward to the new FCC rule eliminating telemarketing robocalls like I'm getting.
