Mustafa, no offense but you seem to be quite illiterate.

Its Legit. I called 1800-regions and thye recognized the name of the caller and the return number. my card number had been stolen. they did not ask for any personal info as well so they were not phishing.

This was Regions' fraud department. Someone trying to use my debit card.
KatStew 2012-04-06 19:35:41 Unknown
I was worried that this was not legitimate!! I too got a call from a 205 number asking me to call the 800-875-7566 number. I didn't find this anywhere on Regions website and I started to panic. I did send them an email to verifiy that his was legit!

Do not call this number it is a fraud. If you receive an email asking you to call this # to verify fraudulent charges on your Regions Bank card report it as soon as possible by calling 1-800-Regions or visiting your local Regions Bank branch. DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM OF THIS SCAM!

It's legitimate. I called Regions back using a # on their website. They connected me to the right dept and told me there was suspicious activity on my debit card. I'm very appreciative of the call. Someone tried to charge $500 at an online clothing website.

It is a 205 number because Regions is based out of Birmingham, AL which is area code 205.
mustafa 2010-10-22 03:44:21 Unknown
his name is alandus not orlandis and card fraud depthe actually works for Regions debit
Craig 2010-10-04 15:33:08 Unknown
If you get a call from this number, call Regions immediately. I just called Regions, and they told me that someone was using my card.
What? 2010-10-01 16:54:08 Unknown
Interesting, then why did they call me from a "205" area code and not a 1-800 #. The voice recording system is a scratchy male voice, when 1-800-Regions is a smooth, female voice. I'm not buying that garbage.

Yes, I received a call from "Orlandis" asking me to call him back about my check card at Regions. First of all, if you look on the Regions website under fraud, you'll see that the bank will never call you about fraud. If you didn't initiate a fraudulant concern, then it's a scam. This number is phishing for your information. If you are a regions customer, don't fall for it. Contact your local bank and give them all the information from their message that they left you. I had my message saved, and played it for my bank manager. There are already investagations about this matter. PLEASE be smart and don't call them back, or don't give them your name even if you call back. Be careful everyone!!!!!

It actually not a SCAM. I called 1-800-Regions and they transferred me to the Fraud department. I gave them the phone number and they said it was legitimate. But better to be safe than sorry. Always call the back back directly on a good known number.

I am not making a complaint against this number. I am just posting on here that it is Regions Bank Fraud Dept. I received a call from them this morning about my checking account. They saw that unusual activity was used on my check card and sure enough almost $400 was fraudulantly pending in my account. I really appreciated the call!!!! Thanks Regions!!!!

As of April 30, 2010, it's the Regions Bank Fraud Department.
