Same as many others, I saw an advertisement for LowerMyBills.com. I too was only interested in the free quotes - thought perhaps they would provide me with a list of companies I could contact for refinancing info... When they asked for my SS#, I changed my mind and tried to exit the form, but it was too late... Anyone know of a way to remove your # from their call list... I'm not interested in getting a billion calls! Just want to do some research on my own and call THEM on MY time.

Rude solicitor called won't id himself/company.  Who would want to refi with this type of company.  What happened to customer service.  Told him to take me off his list.  This is not what should be happening when you want to refi.

Called my cell phone and asked for Brad and when I said there was no one here by that name, she apologized and hung up.

They asked for Brad when they called my cell phone and then were very apologetic.

Caller asked for John. I told him that he had the wrong number and hung up. He called back and I ignored.

Was filling out a Mortgage Quote Form on Yahoo and now I'm getting these calls, which I believe are from them.

Same here. Didn't give SSN, but received numerous calls. All I wanted was what they advertised... an online quote for lower interest rates on home re-finance. Bogus b-s!!!

Same here - I closed the window as soon as it wanted SSN. Unfortunately for me, I gave them both my home phone and cell phone (I think it needed both). I guess when I get home I'll have a ton of hang-up calls on my answering machine.

Answered form questions, Fannie Mae, regarding lowest available interest rate to refinance a home but closed the window when asked for Social Security number (supposedly supplying would possibly give a lower interest rate).  Immediately upon clicking X box to close site,  the telephone rang-- Not only once but three subsequent times with three different phone numbers, all names unavailable on caller ID.  Using Google found all three associated with mortgage companies.  Wow, they wasted no time and I am not interested.

I believe this has to do with LowerMyBills.com where I started to fill out a form for refinancing and then changed my mind.  Meantime, I checked on the website and saw some complaints about them so attempted to exit out.  They already collected phone and email information so after about 4 hours I've already received 4 phone calls within a 10 minute span from mortgage companies.

If any of you are looking for a home loan or financing, you may have signed up through Lower my bills. This number comes from that company to match you up with companies for financing. Also, if you signed up for them they probably wouldn't leave a message as you are requesting them to contact you.

I would be weary of this caller now that I know who they are. If they were a legitimate Mortgage company, why would they not leave a message?  I am in the process of buyng a house, I would call them back if they had the courtesy of leaving a message so I would know the purpose of the call.  Must be a scam of some type.

I too recieved a call from this number. I called back and it has something to do with mortgages as others have stated but how convenient that all mortgage officers were "busy" with other customers and I would have to leave a message. If anyone finds out what exactly this is for, let us all know.
