Received on caller ID a call from "geof...."  unidentifiable contact about investments.  Our names were butchered but all correct information was given.  When I called the number they left (1-800-790-8795), I received "Invalid" phone number response.  Tried again - same response.  Called my investment firm directly.  They knew nothing about this particular phone #.  2nd day call came in again so I picked up.  Caller insisted phone # is valid, firm is Georgian and they are a 3rd party trying to get our votes for the upcoming board of my investment company.  Said I would find their information on my paperwork.  Told him I don't give out information to anyone "calling my number"callers and would only make contact from my end if interested.  He was definitely "pushy"..... wasn't satisfied with my answer so I hung up.

Out of area on caller id, has called twice and left message to call 800 790-6795 about NGP Capital Resources Co. First caller said something about annual meeting. Second caller said something about a proxy. Both hard to understand as if voice was scrambled. Not about to call them as I have never had any dealings with NGP Capital Resources. I do vote proxies on line for other companies and wonder if that site has been hacked.

  Same story with me . . .  Different people calling on successive days (so far twice), and they definitely slur their words.  The caller today sounds like a black female in the south, perhaps the Atlanta area.  She sounded bored out of her mind, and as though she was watching the clock to see when she could get out of there.
  The introductory part says, "I'm calling from Georgia --- (then slurs, sounds a bit like son, could be center?)"  The caller does not give their name or the reason for calling, and as prior comments say, the caller ID shows "Unknown".   I'll never return a call from someone who doesn't clearly state who they are (including their own name), and state exactly why they are calling.    Just saying "please call 800-790-6795 about your xxxx holdings" is never going to get a return call from me.   And I will continue to screen all "unknown" callers, and not answer the phone.

Also getting multiple calls from these folks about stocks I own.  Assuming it is about voting proxies, but it is very annoying.  Was able to reduce the amount somewhat when I exercised my proxy votes.   Of course voting proxies is even more pointless than voting for our government leaders.   Big money controls the voting outcome in both venues.

The message goes something like 'This call is for (name). I'm calling from (slurred name.something like Georgeson I guess) about your investment is (slurred word). Please call me..etc" The number only displays as 'Out of Area'. The 2nd time they've called in 2 days. I'm not returning their call.

This company refuses to stop calling despite a specific demand that they not call us again.

I think you are right. Georgeson from PFFC Inc. about some investment. Did not call them back.

From Georgeson Shareholder Services.  I think companies can hire them to call you & remind you to vote your proxy in advance of the shareholders' meeting for stock you own.
